Hi, if anyone out there happen to have pickup those AAS VA-3 player presets a while ago. If you have Cinémathèque or Starlight. can you try Bistro preset? I am curious if you hear strange high pitched frequencies in the pads? I was working on something a while ago and used a few of this AAS presets in tracks. Now when I re-opened the projects to work on them some more, I hear these odd frequencies I could have sworn I never heard or would have used those presets. I also notice on some tracks, I think the inserted plugin lost it's settings as it reverted to the first patch in the list of patches that is listed in AAS player. Just wondering if others have same issue? I wonder if its related to the AAS update/patching?

i got Iris for free. I recently started using it a bit. Its quite interesting instrument. Pity Izoptope dropped the ball.

you can insert IKM, Softube and all the others in this sentence as well. The all these guys, the same rules apply. Its best to get the bundle when it goes on 50% sale. You get stuff for $5 to $10 .. depending on product and vendor.

Looks really interesting. I really like the AAS stuff. But probably will never have time to figure out how to use this. But does look very cool. I also got that email and also own some other AAS stuff. I dont see that deal. I just see intro offer.

Some day it will probably be free too. Who knows. All depends how long one wants to wait. They gave away the Black 76 FET not long ago. That was kind of cool for people that don''t have T-racks. Very useful.

I guess not. To me personally, $70 sounds like a lot for a plugin. The danger with IKM is buyers remorse. IIRC, MixBox didn't get re;eased than long ago. Neither did Space Delay. But they priced them really high initially. I think $150 or $99 .. and now I picked up Space Delay for $20.. and could have picked up MixBox for $50. It's a little nuts.

Maybe thats why SD sounds so good? I don't use it, but have heard great things about it.

How old is the UAD. Its possible the IKM one is better as it's newer and may have better algorithms behind it. No way to tell until someone actually tests this to look for flaws or imperfections.

also, they now have their Leslie on sale. (So many sales going on at IKM.. I can't keep up with all the sales anymore). You can get Tracks Lesie for $35 with JP or get collection for $69 or so. FWIW.. Leslie is in IMO one of their better sounding sims and I haven't seen anyone else that has anything like it. I use it exclusively in AT 5 as I do a lot of weirdo Marc Ribot and David Lindley tones.

They are a tough sell because KVR is constantly flooded with people trying to get rid of them . The IKM business model is, they hook you into their ecosystem with a cheap deal, then they manipulate you to keep buying more stuff, and torture you with spammy malware like ads for all the things you don't have, and then once you have had it with their products, they spit you out and find the next sucker to do it to. They have no commitment to customers and care little to keep them because they work with cheap pricing. IKM are here to remind you of the old truism. "You get what you paid for in this world."
