thanks. i will check out the demos. So just curios, are Spitfire sort of like the NI of orchestral VIs for composers? I am comparing some of the Kontakt keys VIs between what Spitfire Sound Dust offers to what SonicCouture does. With Sonic, you get 3 for $200 which sort of adds up to $66 per VI. With Spitfire you get 6 for $90 which adds up to $15 per VI. I am not even sure this is a sane comparison. cool plugins. i started using the Cream2 Freebie a little. Good quality stuff. I have no crashing issues with it. But man, I didn't realize they were that expensive.

what are peoples thoughts on Spitfires eDNA synth and the associated packs. Is it their feeble attempt to get into the synth market or is is a boutique synth?

I am on K12U. I am just now slowly reaching using maybe 60% of it. Too much stuff in it.

I am looking at some stuff. Black Friday was 50% off or 40%? I can't recall. @TracingArcs the Komplete stuff is great, but I don't think it compares to Spitfire. I can't comment on the new sound design synth stuff that NI made in last few years. Have not used it.

Just say :YES!: ? I never saw Yes live. The closest I came was Flash at a four-band $5.00 Concert at the Commack Arena that had Savoy Brown [headliner], Flash, Tower of Power, and Rory Gallagher. Super performances by all, but Tower of Power, relatively unknown at the time, blew me away. I saw them live. It was very late in their career (few years ago) and not a good time. I think a low point for the band.

Amplitube is okay. I am impressed it can do 192k. Though I still can't fathom who does projects in 192k other than film and TV audio guys.

Are you talking about Amplitube 5 or Softube? Yeah.. regardless of my issues with the IK Multimedia installers and their marketing people .. the new Amplitude 5 workflow is handy.. I am waiting for a patch that will ease up load times.On my system, NeuralDSP loads up 100x faster than AT 5.

Thanks all the the clarification and testing. I think the lesson learnt is I need to get VA 3 if I want to use AAS in projects. I do like the AAS products and the sounds.

If they are willing to price match IK, I am in. Would even pay a 30% premium to not have to deal with the IK multimedia installers.
