The downloads are available as wav+sfz and soundfont. Download the wav+sfz zips, unzip the files and use sforzando, a free sfz player. The plug-in works with soundfonts but has to convert them to sfz format first. When possible, use the native sfz format rather than converted soundfonts.

I suppose it is too late to undelete and there is no backup available. BREVERB 2 Cakewalk is part of the core CbB installer. There are no individual installers for plug-ins included in the core installer. The only way to get BREVERB 2 Cakewalk back is download and run the full CbB installer. Full installers have names like Cakewalk_by_BandLab_Setup_27.12.0.102.exe and are over 500MB. Update installers have names like Cakewalk_by_BandLab_Update_Setup_27.12.0.102.exe and are around 50MB. If you already have any full CbB installer, run it and upgrade as needed. If not, the update process uses the full installer when it detects the current install is more than one release behind. Otherwise, it will use the update installer. So, if you are currently running CbB 2021.09 or older, update it. if you are running CbB 2021.11, run the rollback installer from the CbB 2021.11 release announcement then run the update from help. if currently running CbB 2021.12 run the rollback installer from the CbB 2021.12 release announcement, then run the rollback installer from the CbB 2021.11 release announcement then run the update from help. Rollback is a little safer than performing a clean install, but a clean install will work too.

The links to the installers are documented here

Program Crashes when copy and pasting track data

By default, the DAW has "Always Echo Current MIDI Track" enabled in Preferences > MIDI > Playback and Recording To hear more than the current track, manually enable input echo on the other instrument/MIDI track{s}. Input echo is the button immediately right of record in the track headers.

I believe that "Save As" and "Save Copy As" create new projects the same way. The difference between the two functions is what happens after the copy process completes. "Save As" closes the current project and opens the new project. "Save Copy As" leaves the current project open and does not open the new project. The "Copy all audio with project" option does exactly what it says. However, adding the "Create one file per clip" option causes the copy process to create new audio files using the new project name.

Snap-to-grid supports both musical and absolute time. The absolute time settings are at the bottom of the snap resolution drop down (D in the image below) in the Snap module. This along with nudge, it is possible to place clips anywhere on the timeline.

There is a separate installer for demo projects. Download and run the Cakewalk Web Installer.

Can I have Overloud TH3 and THU installed at the same time ?
scook replied to GodinLG's topic in Instruments & Effects
I have no experience with Overloud THU but do have TH2 Platinum (a version of TH2 bundled with SONAR Platinum). the full version of TH2 and TH3 Cakewalk all installed. All work independently of each other. I have to believe THU installs in a manner similar to all the previous TH plug-ins. -

A VST reset clears the VST Inventory in the registry and rescans the plug-ins. The warning about erasing settings refers to any changes made to the VST properties shown in VST2/3 drop down above the plug-in UI (the same screen is available in the Plug-in Manager). Here is an example of the VST properties page A VST reset does not affect plug-in presets. VST resets should always be run from Preferences > File > VST settings with "Scan in sandbox" and "Generate Scan Log" enabled. The log may be useful to confirm if the plug-in was scanned and the results of the scan. -

Currently running the Cakewalk Web Installer on a clean machine should download the full installer Cakewalk_by_BandLab_Setup_27.12.0.102.exe Try manually running this installer. -
"Save As" and "Save Copy As" are functionally the same WRT copying a project. The only difference is, after the save is completed, "Save As" closes the currently open project and loads the new project. "Save Copy As" leaves the current project open and does not open the new project. For clip name changes try the following Open the project to save Immediately after opening the project use File > Save As with both "copy all audio with project" AND "Create one file per clip" enabled.

[Closed ] New Cakewalk web installer
scook replied to Noel Borthwick's topic in Early Access Program
Any time a full installer is run, as long as the Cakewalk registry entries are not present, the installer shows all install options. Step 5 in the clean install instructions removes all the Cakewalk registry entries. If one does not have a full installer, running the Cakewalk Web Installer after removing the registry entries will download a full installer. There are parts of a CbB installation that go on the system drive regardless of the install options used. Of course, any part of the DAW and its data may be relocated after install using directory junctions. -
Clips fades are made by dragging the upper left and right corners into the clip. For more info about clip fades see http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=Arranging.69.html#1472288

The PRV Label Pane left of the Notes Pane shows either a keyboard or a selection from the Note Names dialog. One way to maintain the keyboard in the Label Pane and have labels for "other functions" is an articulation map.

Cyclone was bundled with SONAR too. I did not use DS864 much, but Velocity was a nice drum sampler with an easy interface. Much easier than creating sfz files. Both DS864 and Velocity would need a 64bit port and new UIs as the original ones were pretty small.

It was added in 2021.09, see the ASIO driver compatibility checking section in http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=NewFeatures.015.html

ASIO4All and all the other generic ASIO "drivers" are wrappers for native Windows drivers. Generic ASIO "drivers" allow software that require ASIO to work with devices that do not have an ASIO driver or ship with a broken ASIO driver such as the RealTek chip in most PCs. These generic drivers conflict with real ASIO drivers. Focusrite makes a quality ASIO drivers.

Most likely because you are not using the Focusrite driver but have a generic driver installed. If you cannot figure out how to uninstall the generic driver(s), remove all the entries from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ASIO except the Focusrite driver. The Focusrite driver will work with all DAWs and is the best choice for Focusrite interfaces.
