  1. This log indicates the plug-ins failed to scan in a previous run and the plug-ins will not be scanned again unless a VST reset is performed, as suggest by the plug-in support group, or run a manual scan with "Rescan Failed Plugins" is run. If you elect to ignore the support recommendation and run a manual scan with "Rescan Failed Plugins" enabled, make sure to turn the rescan option off after the scan.

    Where is "Wipe"?

searching the online help index for wipe led to this
  3. Didn't Celemony change that to only opening projects after Melodyne 5? I was talking about the trial bundled with CbB, I have no idea about trial products directly from Celemony.
  4. I don't have Melodyne. CbB includes a time-limited trial version of Melodyne. When the trial expires, the editor and polyphonic algorithms are disabled but monophonic MIDI-to-audio and tempo detection still work. Run the Cakewalk Setup Installer or BandLab Assistant to install Melodyne. The additional installers are on the 3rd screen of the Cakewalk Setup Installer and on the "Install Add-ons..." menu in BandLab Assistant
  5. Depends on whether CbB or Melodyne has focus. To avoid this consider changing one of the undo key bindings.
  6. Recording audio from a hardware synth is no different than any other audio source: plug the audio outputs from the synth into the audio inputs of the audio interface, add an audio track to the Cakewalk project, set the input of the audio track to the audio interface, record enable the audio track click the record button in the transport module.
  7. The keyboard USB connection is MIDI only. To record audio from the keyboard requires an audio interface between the keyboard audio outputs and the PC.
  8. What audio interface are you using? Is a "generic" ASIO driver installed?
  9. Yes This is useful info. Just running the uninstaller is not enough if one needs to change the install or VST default location. A clean install is required to regain access to the initial install options. Note the clean install instructions assume the original installation took all defaults. Step 5 details the registry entries that must be manually removed Be aware step 9 will delete ALL plug-ins installed in the Cakewalk default VST locations. If there are any 3rd party plug-ins in the Cakewalk default VST locations, consider moving the default folders out of the Cakewalk folders before deleting the folders and restore them after re-installing Cakewalk.
  10. Correct, V-Vocal documentation does not have any bearing on recorded MIDI data. To Cakewalk, pitch bend is a series of numbers from 0 to 16,383. It is up to the plug-in/hardware synths to determine what those numbers mean.
  11. BandLab Assistant stays in memory so unless it is actually shut down trying to start it again does nothing. Once run, there is a small icon in the notification area to open or quit the program. Unless one wants to run the BandLab DAW or use Cakewalk "offline" activation, BandLab Assistant is not necessary. By dialog, do you mean the splash screen if not, please post an image of the screen It may help to know a little about the system. What audio interfaces are installed? Are there any "generic" ASIO drivers installed?
  12. If a plug-in is capable of sending MIDI data, the option is always available in plug-in properties regards of the default setting in Insert Soft Synth Options. When "Enable MIDI Output" is disabled, it means the plug-in does not have the feature.
  13. Does not look like MIDI from AD2 is possible. Chances are the data is actually doubled up (or more) in the track. Should be visible in the take lanes and/or the Event List view. Or the plug-in is playing a clip loaded in the plug-in and the clips in the track at the same time.
  14. How the data is interpreted depends on is plug-in/hardware synth. The DAW simply transmits the data.
  15. There is but not in the PRV. In the PRV CC data are entered as a series of discrete values. Their resolution is dependent on the snap setting. Controllers may be drawn like any other automation in the track view. CC automation is rendered into MIDI data during playback. The tempo track works just like any other automation in the track view.

    Saving Clips

Open the Guitar folder (double-click the folder) then drag clips into it.

    Saving Clips

Use Windows explorer to create the folder(s), then drag the clips into folder(s) in Windows explorer or the folder(s) in the media browser.
  18. The images show CbB running the Basic workspace. This workspace determines the look of the control bar. Either create a new workspace with control bar set up as desired or do not load the control bar from the new workspace, select a different workspace or set workspaces to None.
  19. In the image above, the "Copy all audio with project" is effectively ignored because the Audio folder already exists in the "Test Vocal" folder. Because the "Copy all audio with project" cannot happen, "Create one file per clip" is disabled. Try moving up one folder and create a new project using a folder name that does not already exist.
  20. Export is strictly an in-the-box process. There is no dependence on hardware so, cycling the power on the interface, if it has any effect is similar to toggling the audio engine in the DAW. The likely suspects are plug-ins in the project, export settings or a combination of both. A few things to try real-time export bouncing or freezing tracks before export removing any 32bit plug-ins from the project It sounds like the DAW is hung (spinning blue ring), capture a hang dump and send it to support. Here is the process.
  21. It is a per-project setting in preferences
  22. The downloads are available as wav+sfz and soundfont. Download the wav+sfz zips, unzip the files and use sforzando, a free sfz player. The plug-in works with soundfonts but has to convert them to sfz format first. When possible, use the native sfz format rather than converted soundfonts.
  23. I suppose it is too late to undelete and there is no backup available. BREVERB 2 Cakewalk is part of the core CbB installer. There are no individual installers for plug-ins included in the core installer. The only way to get BREVERB 2 Cakewalk back is download and run the full CbB installer. Full installers have names like Cakewalk_by_BandLab_Setup_27.12.0.102.exe and are over 500MB. Update installers have names like Cakewalk_by_BandLab_Update_Setup_27.12.0.102.exe and are around 50MB. If you already have any full CbB installer, run it and upgrade as needed. If not, the update process uses the full installer when it detects the current install is more than one release behind. Otherwise, it will use the update installer. So, if you are currently running CbB 2021.09 or older, update it. if you are running CbB 2021.11, run the rollback installer from the CbB 2021.11 release announcement then run the update from help. if currently running CbB 2021.12 run the rollback installer from the CbB 2021.12 release announcement, then run the rollback installer from the CbB 2021.11 release announcement then run the update from help. Rollback is a little safer than performing a clean install, but a clean install will work too.
