Once a clip is imported, I know of no easy way to change the path to the clip. It is possible when importing a clip to tell CbB to use the original clip instead of copying the clip into the project audio folder. To do this, deselect "Copy audio to project folder" in the import audio dialog. There are other conditions that cause audio to be copied into the project audio folder, for details review the help section on importing audio. Also when not using per-project audio folders or the global audio folder for projects that are not setup for per-project audio, keep in mind the projects store these clips using fully qualified file names. IOW, to find a clip it must always be in the same location. It is possible for multiple projects to use a single per-project audio folder. This has the advantage of keeping all the clips for related projects in a single folder and still allow the projects to use relative paths to the clips. On disk the layout looks like this Live Show Folder project file one project file two project file three Audio (the default per-project audio folder used by all three projects)

From the 2019.09 release notes

The tool is called Launch Pad. The thread about it is Prior to v1.7 it used a simple copy process to create hot backups. A change was made to CbB 2019.09 which made the simple copy process unworkable. Now the program has to do a little more work to insure the selected version runs correctly.

If this is the model with a max screen resolution of 1366 x 768, it is going to have problems displaying the program. The minimum screen resolution required is 1280x800.

Given the improvements in the audio engine, does this mean it should be possible to lower the MinPluginLoadBalancingBufferSamples value? Are there any other ini parameters that need to be reviewed?

The tracks have different scales

Yes but it may be more trouble than it's worth. To alter the default behavior requires extending master.ins with the desired note names and using the notes names dialog to load the custom names. One downside to this approach is the inability of the DAW to recall the alternate note name assignments. Unlike drum maps, the notes pane always opens with the default keyboard.

How big should it be? Instead of picking from the drop down, try entering the point size directly in the size field. Still not going to fill the screen. Could use the Windows magnifier if it is still too small.

I used xpand2 license as the search terms in Google. The second result was https://www.airmusictech.com/kb/article/2216 Then I clicked the FAQ on the right side of the page and found the article linked above

Need Help - Updates Not Accessible - Older Sonar Versions
scook replied to MusicianDM's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
If you created a Single Sign On Account in 2014 or later, contact support@cakewalk.com. They have to reset the login for you. Automated password reset was disabled when Gibson shut down Cakewalk. -
Laptop recommendations for use with Cakewalk
scook replied to fallenturtle's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
I am sure you could build your own if money is more of an issue than time and support. Could call @Jim Roseberry (it is his site) and discuss your needs. -
Yes, I described the process of using JS4 with AD2 in the cross- posted thread Adding drum maps is a typing exercise. The maps are text files stored in C:\ProgramData\Jamstix4\data\midimaps

I suppose Boz still includes the EQ and Comp PC modules. Having an additional EQ in the PC can be really handy.

The safest bet for a laptop is one made for DAW use like these. -
When using the same device for CbB and Windows, make sure the sample rate is the same. The CbB sample rate for the current project is displayed in the transport module and is either read from preferences or if the project has audio clips from one of the clips in the project. The Windows sample rate is set in the properties screen shown above.
-
Assuming CbB is set to ASIO driver mode From the main menu Edit > Preferences Make sure the radio button at the bottom of preferences is set to Advanced Click Configuration File in preferences Set UseHardwareSamplePosition to False Click the Reload Config Settings button
-
A little more info may help - at least audio interface and driver mode.
-
similar thread - it is a problem with a driver installed by a Yamaha product not CbB.

May want to try driving AD2 directly from JS4. Add both synths to a project Enable MIDI Output in VST2 drop down above the JS4 UI - red box in the image below Set the MIDI input for AD2 to JS4 In the JS4 UI load the kit "MIDI Out Template" under "@ Special Kits" - 1 in image below load "Addictive Drums 2" - 2 in image below Remove unneeded kit pieces (optional) Enable input echo for both synths
