My vsti setting change everytime when I hit pause/stop (either space or mouse click)
scook replied to Keonmin Lee's question in Q&A
There is not much to go on in the post but it sounds like "Zero Controllers When Play Stops" is enabled in preferences. This is a per-project setting so, it will need to be changed in every project where this is a problem. The value may be set for new projects by changing the project template(s). -
Nudge via Keyboard Shortcuts not working <solved> ?
scook replied to kevro2000's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Please edit the OP and update the subject line with [Solved] thanks -
Depends on the interface. Some don't create the loud blast, some do. It is unmistakable and if your interface made the sound you would know it regardless of any hearing deficit. It also pegs the meters with an insanely high level.
-
Be careful browsing the presets. There is a bug in the plug-in that can cause it-in to generate an extremely loud noise when loading presents containing the Valleys settings in the Simulator.

Make sure the clip is set up for looping select the clip then either hit CTRL+L, check Looping in the Groove Clip properties in the inspector or click the Loop button or turning looping on in the Clip menu in the Loop Construction View

Check the aftertouch settings in preferences

There is but in this part of the forum (Q&A) the better solution is click the check mark to the left of the best answer.

Nudge via Keyboard Shortcuts not working <solved> ?
scook replied to kevro2000's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Works OK here One thing that sometimes happens is accidentally invoking Enhanced Edit Mode (keyboard shortcut numpad 0). Enhanced Edit mode takes over the numeric keypad. -
THU effects not heard until guitar is recorded
scook replied to RICHARD HUTCHINS's topic in Instruments & Effects
Just answered the same question asked a slightly different way in this thread -
If you are trying to monitor through the DAW, enable Input Echo on the track. The Input Echo button is just to the right of the Record button.

There is no need to update but the program needs to refresh its license every 6 months. Connect to the internet Run RandLab Assistant Start CbB

It is not necessary to reinstall SONAR X3 but it is necessary to run the X3 installer, select the 64bit and advanced install options then use the pick list in the installer to get Pentagon installed. Checking the X3 Feature Matrix both Studio and Producer included Pentagon.
-
This is the message thrown by the permissions problem. Either run CbB as administrator or perform the registry edit detailed above.
-
An advanced install of SONAR X3 and older permits installation of individual plug-ins. No need to uninstall anything. It is necessary to run the 64bit advanced install to get the appropriate plug-in as Pentagon I is a DX plug-in. Bridge tech only works with VST plug-ins.

An alternative to EQ is a FIR filter plug-in, a decent free one is available in ReaPlugs.

The screen in the image above should show the project templates. The template location is set in preferences. The image in the link shows the default location. The preference page for VST settings , the link in my first post, has an option to generate a log. This along with adding the locations where the plug-ins are installed may help get the plug-ins to show up.
-
It may help to identify the recently purchased plug-ins. It should not take a direct registry edit. Assuming the new plug-ins are VST2, it is likely they are in a folder that is not in the scan path. The scan path may be updated in preferences.

I do not recall the last time Pentagon I was sold separately. It was bundled with SONAR 5 Producer through X3 Producer. To get the plug-in run an advanced install of the 64bit version of any of those DAWs. The registry was never updated so it is one of those plug-ins that must be run as administrator or have its registry permissions modified to give Users full control of HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\rgc:audio Software\Dxi\Pentagon I

You may freeze or bounce the EZD track(s) to create wav files prior to export but it is not necessary. Soft synths like EZD are rendered during the export process. Some choose to render soft synth audio prior to export for additional processing or to reduce a project's CPU and memory requirements.

Notice the Bleed section in the right-most column of the BFD3 UI

According to the transport module, it looks like the project sample rate is 192K. I believe the max for the mic is 96K (see p10 of http://www.samsontech.com/site_media/support/manuals/G-Track_Pro_OM_5L_V3.pdf)

From track view keyboard shortcuts There is a link to keyboard shortcuts in Help in the main menu. There is a button at the bottom of the track view. Here is a post with an image showing the location of the button (red arrow points to it)

Buses have an edit filter drop down just like tracks just with fewer options. Like tracks, they also have automation lanes. Here is an image showing both. If these controls are not visible you may need to select a different lens (if a lens is applied try changing it to None) or change the track control manager drop down (try setting this to All)
-
Track or lane count have nothing to do with latency. So, when it comes to latency, muting tracks/lanes has no effect. The number of audio tracks/lanes does affect disk I/O which can lead to drop outs. Muting has no effect on I/O, archiving does. Latency primarily comes from two sources, audio driver I/O buffers and plug-in delay compensation. So, if there are plug-ins that affect the PDC calculation are in the track or clip, bypassing the effects may reduce latency.
