  1. Yes, you are missing something. Cakewalk and the BandLab app are two entirely different things.
  2. https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/davinciresolve Pay very close attention to the system requirements or you will NOT have a good experience.
  3. I think you both know what I'm getting at. They are an invaluable aid in editing but it is a bit overblown to have such consternation over their aesthetics. I, for one, am not prejudiced. The content of their character is how I judge them, not the color of their skin.
  4. And, this coolsoft thing appears to be some sort of replacement for the MS wavetable. There's only about 935,632 better software synthesizers available....
  5. I am trying to comp a multitrack drum part. Is there any way to simultaneously select across multiple tracks? It doesn't seem to work; I would have expected to be able to select across multiple take lanes on multiple tracks the same way as on "regular" tracks.
  6. Richie Faulkner and Glenn Tipton are both Powerball users, if that helps any.
  7. Being a big Iron Maiden fan, I actually want that clackety noise. Steve Harris gets that with flatwounds and fingers. I'm not him; roundwounds and a pick is the best I can do.
  8. First thing I do when things go weird is close CbB and then turn my interface off and back on. In the rare instance things are still weird I reboot.
  9. Nope. You have to have the MIDI track pointed to a VSTi and the output of the VSTi pointed to an audio track. Sounds complicated but the way RBH described it this is quite transparent to the user. "Input echo" is so you can monitor your playing in real time.
  10. Sheesh! Spitfire's Originals are so good they'd be a bargain at twice the price.
  11. I can't imagine going back and revising long finished songs. I try not to be like Wordsworth who couldn't stop messing with the Prelude or Whitman and his perpetual revisions of Leaves of Grass.
  12. You're really overthinking it. I can't tell you how many guitarists have a delay pedal in front of a distorted amp.
  13. What's to elaborate? You created a song, mixed it & got it sounding how you want. You exported it as a WAV file and it plays back in mono in various media players. You brought your exported WAV back into CW and it sounds identical to the original project. Think about it for a minute; its kinda obvious.
  14. Use it for the old bathroom reverb chamber trick. Then it will be music related.
