  1. 1) Use a direct box to get the proper level in 2) The Dime noise gate pedal in Amplitube is fantastic.
  2. Please don't double post and please don't hijack a totally unrelated thread.
  3. Feature Request: Color Coded Markers It would be nice to be able to have markers in different colors. The labels are hard to see and color coding them would make it easier to identify at a glance where you are.
  4. I don't know why it wouldn't work for you; I do it all the time. In fact, I did it just now.
  5. Man, are you late to the party. This has been discussed ad nauseam since, well, since 2018. The parent company is quite profitable.
  6. In the metronome dialogue, pick however many measures of count in you want and deselect playback and recording.
  7. Use the web installer. The link is in any one of the other 865,267 threads about this. ?
  8. I unfortunately don't have any help for you, but it is a monumentality bad idea to put your personal contact information in an open forum.
  9. I forgot to mention that as a newcomer, you don't know what you don't know. For example, nearly every single one of your laundry list of "missing features" in Cakewalk are indeed features that CW has had for years. Also, until one develops some degree of familiarity, it can be difficult to sort out good information from bad. Primary sources are almost always reliable.
  10. Problem I have with internet searches is no matter how well crafted your search is that it is all too easy to turn up results that are outdated or from people who don't know what they are talking about. Seriously, you will be much better off starting here: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL4ylp_4AhfKtyYYRWyp9B4v2CLm32__9P And here: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL7YqVth30eGsdimFV6w1niyBN07M2uhRj
  11. 67 years old, master whiz self-taught computer programmer and all that and you don't know how to use a table of contents or index?
  12. The reply I responded to disappeared ? r
  13. Perhaps you should peruse the documentation and learn how Cakewalk works....
  14. I must be missing something. I can't for the life of me figure out how to do this and I haven't been able to find it in the documentation. I have 4 tracks (Kick, Snare Overhead L and Overhead R) with several take lanes each. I want to be able to audition, say, take 1 of all four tracks simultaneously and then switch to take 2, 3 & so on. The only way I've been able to do this is soloing each corresponding take lane track by track. Very tedious and more than once I drove myself nuts by not having all my soloed takes match. The way I finally got my comp done was by just using one of the overhead tracks to make my selections and then copying them track by track. Surely, I can't be the first person to comp multitrack drums. It's enough of a pain with 4 mikes; I couldn't imagine doing it this way with double miked kick and snare, tom mikes, overheads and close and far stereo room mikes!
  15. Did you even watch the video? An audio interface is a piece of hardware. It is where sound goes into and out of the computer.
  16. Only disagreement I have is that if you don't have an audio interface that supports ASIO, you need to get one. Stay away from ASIO4ALL. It tends to be problematic.
  17. That's one of many reasons why I recommend listening with your ears instead of your eyes....
  18. Very nice and peaceful. Even sounds good over the phone speaker.
  19. I dare say this isn't a whole lot more than Komplete Start
