Craig has been very active with PreSonus since he and Gibson parted ways. Continuing his tradition with Studio One contributions such as tips and a few books... :)

Yes, and now that Fender owns Presonus, he's connected with the main "opposition"

You can install v10 and v11.

    but can you authorize them?

According to their' rather insulting tech,"Since Microsoft dropped support for all OS before 10, there is no way to online authorize so a USB dongle is required"

So it still stands that they forced the central update on machines running win8.1 and earlier versions of their software no longer work without extra expense and issues...

I'm way too skeptical to update Waves Central right now as it created a severe problem for me on one machine already!

That's the NYC IR pack included in your account with Sonar Platinum.

OK... We've already got that. So it's still another blind alley...

So it seems the likely story is that the current Presonus collection may be what happened to them...

Same here. It is likely buried somewhere in years of Craig Anderton's Cakewalk related online posts...

    Maybe @scookhas seen it?

I'm thinking maybe it was offered directly from Craig? Probably not, but I'm thinking now to go look for his website?

I just visited and still found nothing, but on another tack, I found a PRODUCT on the Presonus page which is for a purchase of Anderton's IRs...

    https://shop.presonus.com/Craig-Anderton-Surreal-Reverb-Impulse-Responses

So, maybe this is why there's nowhere to find free Anderton IRs?

...and now I found this. The link to download leads to a 401 error message...

I bought a lifetime license for SPlat before it went splat. I never installed Cakewalk by Bandlab when I bought a new laptop. Are the SONAR Platinum downloads still available somewhere, including the Anderton IRs?

    Yes...

You can still log into the old Sonar "My Programs" folder and find all the old Cakewalk/Sonar downloads you own. Still same link.

The Anderson IRs is another matter. I have not been able to find them anywhere...

Rapture Expansions - yes, it has been a long time since I did those!  -Now, I can only go from rusty memories, but I think you have to make sure they installed to the current Cakewalk Content folders, if not, search some of the common locations on your C:\ drive for the set of folders that installer creates, and move them there (along with the existing "factory" Rapture library material). Seems like I had to do that a few times.

If they are already there (look for the folder dates that match your recent install), maybe you just need to refresh the Rapture patch browser (sorry, I forget the keyboard shortcut for that - maybe in help?).  -Again, it's been so long, but yes, I think there are some steps needed, and I hope this helps!

Thanks... Yeah, I thought something like that. I already tried copying the expansions folder to he different locations I found fir Rapture (there’s another within the Rapture Sessions folder)...  tried reloading Rapture. I seemed to remember something like the refresh but I haven’t found it. Too tired tonight from last night’s gig, or was that this morning? My DAW was too tired too. So it already went to sleep. I’ll look again in the morning.

  7. OK... I seem to remember some "trick" to getting the expansions into Rapture but I haven't stumbled on it... I've run the expansions installer, but they don't appear which is when I seem to remember some detail that needs to be done to complete the task.

Am I wrong? Does anyone remember anything about this? I seem to recall using the expansion sounds more than the basics that were included...

Look in your user folder. You may find that you already have them, like I did. ;)

The file names stand out, as they have a different naming scheme from the NYC Showroom IRs that all begin with "BigRoom*****" or SmallRoom*****".

The IRs in the Anderton set all start with a number (in msec) or the letter "R"  (for reverse) followed by the number.

Sadly, not here. Oh well. As I’ve never used them on my old DAW, I probably won’t miss them here. It would have been nice to explore more options.

Thanks abacab, but sadly, no. I only have the NYC impulses in my user folder...

There is another set of 72 impulses for REmatrix Solo produced by Craig Anderton:

Anderton Synthetic Impulse Responses for REmatrix Solo Convolution Reverb https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=SONAR&language=3&help=NewFeatures.082.html

I already had them installed, so not sure from where or when I downloaded them. They don't appear among the downloads in the Platinum installers like the NYC Showroom. It may have either been a one-time special download offered directly by Craig, or they are just part of the Solo factory install.

Interesting... but I couldn't find any links to download these. so I guess I will forever be forgetful of what they sounded like...

Hey, good news! I tried using the REmatrix Solo module in the CbB Pro Channel. I incorrectly stated earlier that it was not available in CbB.

You can import user IRs into that one! The NYC Showroom impulses just imported fine!

    See details: https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=ProChannel.13.html

    AHA!

    Thanks abacab!

That was the missing bit. It's a PC plugin! I found it and whether it already had these or found them because they were correctly installed, but the NYC impulses are all there already! Nice...

Now we have the best of both worlds (in the free arena anyway)...

REmatrix SOLO was bundled with Sonar Platinum.

That plugin didn't make the trip over to CbB. But REmatrix player was recommended as an alternative solution, because it could load the existing SOLO IR collection.

Thanks. I was afraid it was something like that. Yeah player is a deeper version, but we can’t load the NYC impulses that were also bundled with Sonar at some point. You have to have the full/paid version to load "user presets". That’s what I was trying to accomplish.

Not a great tragedy as I’ve never used them so I don’t remember what they contained...

Well it is free. Just not a special deal! ;)

Good/Special deal to me! I now have more lovely IRs to chose from!

Too bad I can’t use the NYC IRs we got for the older version.

Does anyone remember when we got rematrix solo? I can’t seem to find it anywhere.

  14. This one dropped into the Player just fine... Too bad I can't find a way to add the Rematrix Solo IR's to it. Only allows "user" impulses in paid version.

Any way to add the Cakewalk-Supplied NYC IR's to the free rematrix player? Or find a copy of the rematrix solo player? I can't seem to find that anywhere either in CCC or in Cakewalk's My Products...

Hey, this is a free direct download on the Overloud site. It's totally bogus that JRR shows a $79 list price lined out.

    Hybrid Free for REmatrix

I wasn't able to drop it into the VST3 plugin UI. I had to drop it into the standalone version of REmatrix to install it. Didn't try it with the VST version.

    Thanks for this John...

I just downloaded it finally thanks to your link and suggestion...

I actually tried to find such on Overloud's site but I only kept coming up with the $49 sale version...

    Edit:

    ...Installed and happy!

Same here. I used the download link in the subsequent email after purchase process.

EDIT: DL Link also shows in your invoice under My Orders.

I must be blind. I still can't find it. Not in the email receipt for the purchase, not in my available downloads folder....

    I'll look again...

No It's not me (I don't believe)... There is no download link in any of the places mentioned. The receipt claims it will send another email when it ships?

I see re0rder and such but there are no download links anywhere to be found...

  17. What's the story with JRR's system?

I ended up ordering it twice as it doesn't seem to complete and supply the download link. It shows my "purchases", but no downloads available? Is there some prolonged delay in their' system?
