  1. It depends what automation you're using. Basic volume , pan, gain, etc. Track automation should stay with the track while Synth controls would be tied to that synth. Replacing it would remove automation tied to that synth even if you reload the same one because you're "removing" it before reinserting it. Not sure if that can be changed.
  2. This has been "standard behavior" since X1. For me, moving the line to far left in TV clears the issue. Changing views with it mid screen makes it remain.
  3. I know nothing of CbB's inner workings so this sounds interesting. I know you can "replace" a synth on the same track (right-click icon > Replace Synth...) without affecting anything else on the track. You can also add automation to the MIDI track so whatever synth you use won't affect it.
  4. The only themable scroll bar items are the background and thumb for TV, CV, PRV, Step Seq, & Matrix Views. One day I noticed the Browser's Help Module scroll bar was oddly colored and uses different elements than the other windows. EDIT: I found Global > Scroll Bars > Scroll Bar Background also changes the Help Module scroll bar background. When this happens, the Help Module scroll bar thumb & arrows will also change, but not as expected. Background > Thumb > Arrows: Cyan > Red > Red Dark Cyan > Red > Ice Blue Light Cyan > darker Cyan > darker Cyan Blue > Dark Blue > Magenta Magenta > White > Gray Red > White > Gray Dark Red > Cyan > Cyan Green > White > Gray Dark Green > Magenta > Ice Blue Black > Gray > Gray White > Gray > Gray Dark Gray > Black > White Gray > Dark Gray > Dark Gray
  5. Simple MIDI projects are easy to preserve as noted. But if you have specific instruments & FX you want to save as well... To archive, simply keep a back up copy of the project folder on another drive or CD/DVD. CbB uses Per-Project Audio Folders, and keeps all project files and folders within the main project folder. To preserve plugins you can freeze or bounce the tracks which will lock them in place "audibly", but you won't be able to edit the parameters without unfreezing & reusing the same plugins at a later date. And you'll now have wave files in the project. FWIW I don't use Instrument tracks, but separate MIDI & Synth tracks. Freezing these maintains your MIDI & audio in separate tracks. Freezing Instrument (combined MIDI & Synth) tracks doesn't loose the MIDI data, it just locks it in rendered form. You can later unfreeze it to edit the MIDI. However, under the right conditions the freeze/unfreeze function can fail so I personally don't trust this method... anymore. Bundle files are not recommended for archiving. They can become problematic or corrupted over time.
  6. You have to bring the target track in focus first. Otherwise the copied data will paste into the same track as copied from, or whatever track is already in focus (track name highlighted).
  7. One thing I dislike is big fat scroll bars that (also) take up half the screen. I am in favor of those thin ones that expand when you hover over them, tho.
  8. It is a bit intrusive. You can "shrink" the EQ by clicking Display > Module Options > ProChannel > Compact EQ Module. Then use the flyout to make changes.
  9. Good thing to check. In this case only one takelane with no admaralities. BTW, This track was recorded mono.
  10. Not against scroll bars, but... I'd like to see some uniformity with the ones we have 1st. So far we have a hodge-podge of scroller styles gracing the GUI. Browser windows illustrate this. Looks haphazard to me. They should all be of the same style and theme-able too, arrows included.
  11. If you look at my screen cap above it shows both Stereo and Mono options. ??? This only when they are all selected to be bounced. Individually they each only show the Stereo option. This is why I tried converting the clip group to Mono first. Don't know why you'd need to convert mono clips to mono to prevent them from bouncing to stereo, but that's what seems to be happening here. Again, Only This Track behaved this way.
  12. So after I closed this project I created a new one, imported 2 waves and invoked the Commit to Arrangement process. Closed the new project without saving it. Opened the project with end of song issues and... the issue is gone? Sonar/CbB is from the Twilight Zone! NTS: Clip Automation is for clips only, not tracks.
  13. I have the same issue with one project. This seems to work but doesn't explain why the issue existed.
  14. No. I've been re bouncing them several times trying different scenarios. I noticed when right clicking the selected clips, the option to Convert to Mono is there when it normally wouldn't be. So when I decided to convert the "mono" clips to mono and then bounced them together, they bounced mono. For some reason CbB thinks there's "stereo" data in these clips?
  15. Spoke too soon. 4 clips bounced to 1 (purple track). So far only this one track is doing this. No FX and Interleave button tried both ways. The green track above it bounced as expected - with FX and stereo interleave button. Odd thing is, undoing & repeating the bounce will sometimes produce a mono track.
  16. Weird, huh. It happened all of a sudden... in the middle of a long editing run last night. Today it's behaving as expected. All I can take away is don't spend more than 8 hours editing... at least on my system.
  17. All of a sudden when I bounce 2 mono clips together they become stereo. This was not happening before. Please, how do I stop this nonsense??? We need a dialog window for Bounce To Clips like Bounce To Tracks has.
  18. In the Edit menu. I have some rogue automation nodes or something messing with End of Song position. When I select everything beyond the "actual" end of song marker on the Time Ruler and use Edit > Delete Special, the automation box is grayed out - unselectable. When I make the same selection and hit Delete key, automation nodes remain. I can delete individual nodes manually, but this does not help delete the rogue "invisible" ones. Event List shows nothing after the end note. Is this a bug? Currently there exists something between 4:33:00 & 4:36:06 that can't be seen, selected or deleted.
  19. Is this normal? Does it happen to you? This also extends the end of the song when replaying the edited section.
  20. I tend not to like anything that nags...
  21. I think there's a display limit for each... BTW, not sure how winkpain got credit for my quote (2 notes up). Just makin' sure royalties go to rightful parties.

I've tried Sweetwater's used gear marketplace but think few go there to buy. It's like craigslist - no fees or hoops to jump thru but you're on your own.
