  1. If you deselect Preferences>Playback and Recording>Use Multiprocessing Engine, it will only show 1 fat core. Not as impressive to onlookers but leaves more room for other CB modules. And I've never had the need for Multiprocessors anyway.
  2. What was it bundled with? I don't have GT3 (I searched) but just loaded GT4 into an FX bin which asked to transfer GT3 presents. Not sure where it got them but how cool if all plugins asked that.
  3. Me 2. It's quite the orchestration for me to get over 100 tracks. Then again, not sure I ever did. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  4. If there isn't already a way to turn on & off or bypass a MIDI track's controller lane, it would be nice to add it. Prefer individual CC lanes but even all lanes at once, so we can make quick A/B checks. A time consuming Convert to Envelopes could be a work-a-round, but not very efficient.
  5. Must have happened when they "improved" SPlat's PRV Track view list format. Not an issue in Sonar X3 and before. The Add Track button dialog also has a limitation of 99.
  6. All that does is take up Control Bar space.
  7. This is what I deal with daily, and have concluded is the reason for 95% of project/track corruptions. Especially when the original project was created with an earlier version of Sonar AND/OR on a different system. But even when not, the more versions are saved, the more bugs crop up. Often the only way to end the corruption is start a new project and carry over the data or find an earlier version that's bug free. This also helps weed out a wayward track.
  8. Can this be done? Ability to move entire selected area freely. Also, stretch corners independent of each other like Photoshop Transform>Distort.
  9. Did you check the Tutorial forum?

    A minor nuisance

Sometimes A=B. While it helps having MIDI interface & controllers on 1st, I sometimes have to reboot the PC a couple times before Sonar/CbB communicates with them properly.
  11. You can by using the Clips button dropdown if the plugin allows. In this example, choose Enabled where 100%=ON & 0%=OFF:
  12. Hi, I can't reproduce this so it may be specific to your system or the clip.
  13. You can also Ctrl+Shift+Drag the end of a clip to stretch it to desired length in Track View. You can also lasso select (right click & drag) notes in PRV and do the same. Set Snap for precision.
  14. Right click the new clip and select Unlink Step Sequencer Clips then edit.
  15. Probably a free teaser for their Music Cour$e$$$. https://online.berklee.edu/courses
  16. Yes but... do street lights go out as you drive by?
  17. Mixer has stereo channels with separate left and right inputs. When left input is also (Mono), it pans both left and right when right jack is empty. Right side only pans right when left jack is empty. If you want the left jack to behave the same way, put a blank or dead plug in the right jack. Or is there another way to fool it?

    Simple-stupid problem

Screen stops scrolling if you click anywhere while in motion. You can click anywhere again or hit PAUSE 2x, or PAUSE and PLAY to resume the scrolling screen.
  19. Ouch. Well, you did mention the K word. No guarantees with that one.
  20. Either way should work. Try it. You can always Ctrl+Z if the results aren't good.
  21. FWIW, "Splitting" clips actually copies and pastes the original so that you now have 2 identical clips with slipped ends hiding the data before/after the split point. Dragging the clip ends back out to their original positions reveals the hidden data. Nothing is altered, hindered, changed or otherwise affected by the split. This is why it's wise to "bounce" split clips before applying additional editing. Splitting & end slipping are non-destructive. "Bouncing" is destructive but reversable with Ctrl+Z.
  22. Maybe 'cause people keep asking where they are?? Some also don't know "Lenses" are "Workspaces". Cakewalk likes to put folders all over the place. I'd like to see every Cakewalk related folder listed in Preferences. As long as they are, I should have no confusion about where to look for stuff. I hate confusion. It confuses me! Apparently some presets are stored in Registry, which makes no sense to me.
  23. Maybe this folder could be added to Preferences >File >Folder Locations.
