  1. I have deCoda LE. The upgrade on the vendor site (after logging in) shows up as $33.75. I wonder if there’s an upgrade being sold (at a discount) anywhere.
  2. Didn't realize I had Dirty Tape until I checked. Purchased. Thanks.
  3. Looking at the tone models list, I saw Mezzabarba (Mzero and Trinity) that I've never heard of before. Obviously (or strategically), the more esoteric/boutique models are in MAX.
  4. There's also the iOS version: https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/tonexios/ That's exciting (to have the same modeling on iOS). I wonder there are any aural compromises vs. Mac/PC. From my reading, there's going to be a common TONEX store for iOS, TONEX Mac/PC, and AmpliTube 5. So, I'm assuming that if we purchase TONEX SE Mac/PC, it'll unlock the TONEX SE IAP on iOS (similar to how SSSR on MixBox Mac/PC unlocked SSSR on MixBox iOS). Correct?
  5. The capture doesn't have the guitar in the workflow. It outputs a known signal and captures the results from the mics. Take a look of the TONEX Capture web pages for diagrams of how the gear is hooked up (at least with a re-amp box).
  6. I assume that eventually, TONEX SE will be a free option with hardware (free bonus software title), in which case, it's a compelling reason to get it via a hardware purchase.
  7. Looking at the system requirements here, they're taking advantage of the GPU (M1 or NVIDIA) for training the modeler. Cool.
  8. This product would be incredible in a stomp box. A hardware version would compete against Line 6 Helix, Kemper, Fractal and Neural DSP.
  9. Here's the tone models list: https://download.ikmultimedia.com/html/tonex/TONEX_Premium_Tone_Models.pdf The free TONEX CS is quite generous, giving you Fender, Marshall, Orange, Mesa Boogie, ENGL, 5150, Ampeg, and a whole bunch of stomps.
  10. Those with AmpliTube can play around with Brit Valve Pre. Any comparisons? Given that I have lots of Marshall and Marshall DNA sims in Amp Room, AmpliTube, PA, and Nembrini, I'm not sure this checks any boxes I'm missing. I may end up sitting this one out.
  11. Running this plugin in Amp Room in Gig Performer on Windows on my old i7 4600U, the CPU meter is at around 32%. Standalone, it's around 10%. I've taken a liking to standalone plugins to give me more flexibility and less CPU load, though when I'm experimenting with more complex chains involving multiple pedals, the suites (AmpliTube and Amp Room) are more convenient (especially when I have CPU to spare, like on my MacBook Air M1).
  12. I was missing the old kits that were in MODO DRUM 1. If I did an update to MODO DRUM 1.5 from MODO DRUM 1.1.3, it didn't show the old kits needed any update. Leads me to believe that the kits didn't change (unless it changed if you purchased MODO DRUM SE which doesn't seem right). Which OS are you running? I think I had a different behavior on macOS (the upgrade trick didn't work) but I haven't spent time to reproduce that.
  13. Purchased (to go with Amp Room, Bluesbreaker, Silver). Yikes—I’ve turned into an amp collector. Wonder if the rest of the Softube amps will ever come down to this price.
  14. I don’t think the kits have changed. I’m in the same boat, with the expired MODO DRUM 1 kits. On Windows, if I uninstall MODO DRUM, and install 1.5, I get missing kits. If I first install MODO DRUM 1.1.3 and update to 1.5, then all the kits are there for me. I mentioned this previously.

    NI FM8 for $12

Hm. I've had this as part of Komplete 13 but never paid any attention to it. Maybe I'll check it out, because of this thread. https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/articles/360014683497-Apple-Silicon-M1-M2-Compatibility-News The only plugin that is M1 Native is Kontakt. I know FM8 isn't listed explicitly. But everything else seems to work under Rosetta. I was able to start it up as an AU in Big Sur in Studio One running in native mode and make some noise. Beyond that, I don't know since I'm not a user of this synth.
  16. Nu-Tron III is pretty old, so if you have AmpliTube 4 or newer installed, you shouldn't need to install a newer version. Now getting it authorized a different matter ...
  17. I just tested it on Windows, and you're right, upgrading from MODO DRUM 1.1.3 leaves the drum kits intact. So, on Windows, if your drums kits are missing (and you had MODO DRUM 1), try uninstalling MODO DRUM, installing MODO DRUM 1.1.3 (https://www.ikmultimedia.com/userarea/my-products/, search for MODO DRUM, click on Past Releases), and upgrading. Of course, if your downloads still work, that's the preferred method, but if your downloads have expired, this way, you can get the kits without paying to turn on downloads.
  18. Also, get 15% off $30+. Summer Sale | Orders Over $30 Gets Extra 15% Off | Use The Code "THIRTY"
  19. It’s not just about price. It’s for those who don’t know anything about recording, who would otherwise probably use GarageBand if available. You’re not in the target demographic since you’re savvy enough to “figure out the rest”.
  20. I forget if that was on Windows or Mac. One or the other. Are you on Windows? But if you're needing to download the kits and they've expired, you can get them from the 1.1.3 installer.
  21. I picked this up in a previous sale. It’s not yet M1 Native but I assume they’ll eventually update all current amps to be. This emulates the EVH 5150 but has a knob that blends between the 6L6 and EL34 versions (and the faceplate also changes color from white to gold). I thought that was a cool feature.
  22. If you install MODO DRUM 1.1.3, you’ll get all the original drum kits. When it upgrades to 1.5, it uninstalls 1.13 and with it the drum kits. If you start from scratch, install 1.1.3, copy off the drum kits, install 1.5, and then copy them back afterwards, it should work (theoretically—I haven’t done so yet). Update: the above is the case with Mac but not with Windows (you can just upgrade directly).
  23. I was just answering the question where the $28 came from. That promo has passed.
  24. You can use up to 30% in JamPoints (direct from IK). 70% of $40 is $28. But that promo has passed.
  25. Sure, but it sounds like you have people who already know what they’re doing. For those who haven’t recorded before, being able to share a project that has everything set up with guide tracks is invaluable (and there still was a learning curve).
