  1. This. I picked it up as a group buy freebie. It requires more CPU than other organ VIs, but it's worth it.
  2. I picked this up two years ago, before SSS2 was released. Has this been updated since or is it actually the same as before?
  3. I'm pretty much covered with guitar stompbox effects, with AmpliTube, Softube ecosystems, and lots of BX and Nembrini plugins (and MixBox). What does Kuassa bring to the table? Are any of these (chorus, compressor, phaser, tremolo) recommended?
  4. Nice. Where did you get the 50% coupon from?
  5. Any specific recommendations? Some people are sharing lots of tones that get lots of like, and I’m inclined to get everything they’re sharing. I’m also cross referencing the chatter on The Gear Page and Gear Space. But right now, I’m a kid in a candy store overwhelmed (in a good way) by the options. I’m also awaiting the integration of TONEX stomps into AmpliTube.
  6. Glad the minimum is $32 (rather than $75) on the $25, though how useful it is depends on the deals that pop up. The expiration is November 23 so they much have some sales planned starting the 24th.
  7. Finally bought TONEX SE for $69.99 with Jam points. Enjoying the bread and butter amps included in SE (I’m not a high gain guy). Downloading the user uploaded amps + cabs with a lot of thumbs up. I think I’ll be happy with this for a while. Thanks, IK. I’m looking forward to the iOS version of TONEX (with AUv3 support).
  8. For the list of plugins, go here: https://www.plugandmix.com/products/b888-VIP-Bundle/ Seems I'm probably covered if I have IK MixBox.

    Up to 75% off Sonnox

I wonder how Claro compares to iZotope Neutron (which I have).
  10. AmpliTube 5.5.1 Release Notes Changes from version 5.5.0: Features the new TONEX improvements that enhance sound accuracy in TONE MODELs without the cabinet. Fixed an issue that could create inconsistencies in sound in TONEX Stomp TONE MODELs and AmpliTube stomp TONE MODELs. TONEX: Implemented gain reduction meter in the compressor module. General reliability improvements. TONEX for Mac/PC Release Notes Changes from version 1.0.1: Fixed an issue that could cause inaccuracies when capturing TONE MODEL AMPs without a cabinet ("Amp" and "Stomp and Amp" TONE MODELs). Improved by 30% the Advance Training timing. Added up and down arrows to browse TONE MODEL AMPs and CABs. Implemented gain reduction meter in the compressor module. Fixed an issue that could cause crashes when using TONEX as a plug-in inside a DAW. Fixed an issue that avoided sorting in ToneNET. General graphic improvements. General reliability improvements.
  11. Updated. Note: I had to run the installer twice on macOS as I noticed the VST3 plugins were not updated. It may have been a result of manually removing the VST and AU plugins after the original installation (SSD space is precious). I manually removed the VST3 plugins and reinstalled.
  12. Went through the process to find out I already have the plugin.
  13. If you don't need to have the mk2 (better screen, power via USB), the original is $228. https://reverb.com/item/40984620-native-instruments-komplete-kontrol-s49 These keyboard controllers have the nice Fatar keybed.
  14. Doing more testing in Gig Performer. I'm running my audio interface at 44.1 kHz, 64 samples. The standalone Fix Flanger plugin reports 2650 samples of latency (60.1 ms). But if I run it from within Amp Room (as the only plugin active), it reports 132 samples (3.0 ms), so a lot but not as noticeable. Standalone Fix Doubler and Fix Phaser both report 4 samples of latency. I compared with eight other flangers (Blue Cat, kHs, Melda, Nembrini, ADA, Audiority, AmpliTube, NI) and the most latency reported aside from Fix Flanger was 16 samples. So, Fix Flanger is usable live but only from within Amp Room. It does sound great, though.
  15. I ended up just getting the Phaser for $9 given everyone's effusive praise. Brought it up in Amp Room and didn't have any issues with latency. So I grabbed the Flanger and Doubler as well. Now, I've got more modulation option in Amp Room (before was just tremolo and vibrato). Thanks, all.
  16. Thanks for the recommendations. When it comes to plugins, I'm pretty patient to wait for sales. I had picked up ADA Flanger for $15 net before (I think). I'll have to put some time into exploring it. According to Music Software Deals, the sale price for Instant Flanger and Phaser Mk II is $39 each. They're on my radar now (looks like next summer sale). I've been intrigued by Kuassa, but didn't want to put money into yet another guitar ecosystem (I guess my go to have been Nembrini). I did like Amplifikation 360 a lot better than Nembrini Live Rig when I demo'd it. I'll have to demo the Kuassa flanger. Once again, I appreciate your input.
  17. Hm. Good to know. I’m a hobbyist and been using plugins for live playing/practicing at home (lately using Gig Performer as the host). Anything with significant latency won’t get used. I’ve got AmpliTube, Amp Room, PA, NI GR, AA, Audified, Audiority, and Blue Cat guitar related plugins. For live playing, what would you recommend? Eventide was mentioned. Is that noticeably better than what I have?
  18. Any opinions on these? How do they stack up to the competition? Or what are the preferred flangers and phasers?
  19. Thanks for the pointer to KVR. Looks like there are deals to be had on the Buy & Sell forum (which I haven't seriously investigated before). MAutoPitch doesn't seem to be low-latency/real time for live use. ReaTune seems to be Reaper only. I actually did grab bx_crispytuner already. Will have to try it out. Yes, it'll be used for live performance. Good to know about bleed. Why do you consider it absolute trash? It seem to have the necessary features. I care about the sound--from reading reviews, it doesn't seem that Auto-Tune falls down compared to Waves. Also, keep in mind that this is for live use, which means low-latency. I'm not aware that iZotope Nectar has a low-latency mode. I appreciate all the input. Thanks.
  20. I'm looking to use an auto tuner for live use. Any experience comparing between Antares Auto-Tune Access, Waves Tune Real-Time, or bx_crispytuner?

  22. Wow, this is like the old days of PA sales. Picked up SPL Iron for $10.99. They seem to be hitting different price points: $10 voucher, no minimum $25 voucher, $39 minimum ($14 net spend) $20 voucher, no minimum $20 voucher, $29 minimum ($9 net spend) I appreciate that they're not playing games with the pricing and minimum spends like they used to (where the minimum spends were just over the costs of single plugins, requiring buying two plugins to qualify). And there are plenty of selections at multiple price points. Thanks, Dirk!
