Looking at the past release dates, it's been at least two years between major version numbers. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Studio_One_(software) 1.0.0: Sep. 2009 2.0.0: Oct. 2011 3.0.0: May 2015 4.0.0: May 2018 5.0.0: July 2020 6.0.0: Sep. 2022 If you buy certain hardware, you have an option of choosing between Studio One Artist and a certain number of months of Sphere subscription. Looks like there was a 30% sale on Sphere before. https://rekkerd.org/presonus-sphere-studio-one-professional-notion-sale/

Did the same to get DearVR Monitor for $9.99.

Missed out on the $10 voucher, but applied the $25 voucher towards Tomo Lisa for $15, net. Next time there's a no minimum voucher, I'll check against the monthly loyalty voucher eligible plugins, and maybe apply towards that.

Oh, sorry I was unclear. I tried dragging the .nki into Studio One and Presence complained that it failed to load (though supposedly K4 is supported). But, yes, it works in Kontakt. Since I have Kontakt 6, I'll probably just use that most of the time, but I was curious how Presence XT would do with EXS instruments. Does anyone know any advantages/disadvantages for each format? So, no GUI except for K5. Any aside from that? I suppose one usually tries to use the native tools of the DAW one usually works in. Since I have K6, I'll probably use that since it works across DAWs (and for just noodling/live, I've been using Gig Performer).

I wonder how these new non-NI licenses will work with license transfers, unless they've changed the management of the non-NI plugins to be under Native Access.
-
Yup. Just drag the .exs file into Studio One and it'll create a Presence instrument track. I tried it with the .nki file and it failed to load, even though the Singularis docs said it's Kontakt 4. There's also a Singularis K5 which I take is for Kontakt 5 and newer.
-
Mine load but the GUI shows that it's in DEMO mode.

Also just discovered that Studio One’s sampler, Presence XT, has support for importing EXS libraries (Kontakt 4 also).

Klevgrand All Titles Are $29 for 29 hours + Squashit Free
ALC replied to Brian Lawler's topic in Deals
It's also $29 at PB: https://www.pluginboutique.com/manufacturers/197-Klevgrand ... and you get the PB freebie of the month. Not sure if you'd still get SQUASHIT. The Klevgrand website is a bit frustrating to figure out the pricing since the prices are only visible after clicking to go to the product page. Stark has the biggest savings at -63%. -
BTW, AudioLayer is an iOS sampler that can import EXS24. I have a number of SampleTekk pianos that include EXS24 support (6). I've been meaning to try out importing some of these pianos for use on the iPad ... but maybe after I upgrade my devices and have enough space (this one is almost 3 GB).

Installed. Turns out that this library supports Kontakt, EXS24, HALion, and SFZ.
-
Apple Silicon support. Yay! In Gig Performer 4, I had to "Rescan Failed Plugins". For Studio One 5, It took me several iterations to figure out how to make the plugins show up. I had to delete all the "Plugins-*.setting" files underneath ~/Library/Application Support/PreSonus/ (probably only the ones under ARM64 are necessary).

FREE KONTAKT Excellent Quality Acoustic Drum Kit - DS Drum RCS Essentials
ALC replied to PavlovsCat's topic in Deals
If it's not confusing enough, Slate Digital (VMR), Steven Slate Drums (SSD, Trigger), and Steven Slate Audio (VSX) are separate entities with different product lines. -
You're limited by the number of Kontakt installations. While you technically can "slap the Kontakt version on every machine in the house," I'm just pointing out that the licensing of Kontakt doesn't actually allow more than three (and only if you have Komplete).
-
How does Lexicon compare to Exponential reverbs? I have Excalibur, Nimbus, PhoenixVerb, and R4.
-
I just checked. For the library in the OP: Kontakt 5.8.1 Full Retail (or later) Required. Kontakt full can be installed on 2 or 3 computers. https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/articles/209544789--Installing-Native-Instruments-Products-on-a-New-Computer- I don’t see any indication that the license for Kontakt Player is any different, even if it’s free. Note that there’s no actually enforcement of this licensing, so technically, you can install more than the EULA allowed licensed number of instances.
-
Actually, with Kontakt you get two licenses unless you have Komplete in which case you get three licenses.

I have a number of UJAM drummers but am not getting the loyalty price. How does one qualify for that price?
-
Thanks for making me realize that I haven't installed my AudioThing plugins on my current laptop. Turns out I have three of the four in the bundle. Any thoughts on Things Rotor? Worth it for $7.25?

+1 on the free Steven Slate Drums. IK Multimedia MODO DRUM CS and MODO BASS CS are other good free VIs.
-
Thanks. I figured out that I have to find files of type "Guitar Pro" and not "Pro".
-
Did you try the UG subscription or are you talking about the free tabs? The subscription provides access to official tabs which I assume should be higher quality (but you can correct me).
-
Now that I have Guitar Pro … What sources of GP files do you use or recommend? I know of https://www.mysongbook.com/ and https://www.ultimate-guitar.com/, both of which have subscriptions (for $5 a month and $24.99 a month, respectively). Ultimate Guitar seems to be free but any GP files seems to take me to the subscription signup page. What are peoples’ experiences with these sites? Anyone using these or have other recommendations?

I did receive the license key this morning (the second day after ordering).
