Comparing the out-of-the-box presets from Fuchs ODS 50 and Nembrini ODS, the Nembrini is more in your face whereas the Fuchs plugin sounds more distant. So, the Nembrini is more fun for me just jamming. Nembrini has really upgraded the cabinet section (even has IR loader). Visually, the NA is more pleasant to look at, with a warm brown whereas the Fuchs is a monochromatic black and silver. I tried to use the same knob settings with my own IR that sounded very different so I must not be understanding the correlation between the knobs and switches. This is my first Nembrini desktop amp (I have most of the rest on iOS)--glad to have it.

Here are some background reading for Dumble: * https://guitarspace.org/amps/dumble-amp-guide/ “How can something music-related acquire legendary status? Is it mysteriousness? Is it rareness? Or is it the perceived value and overall impact on the general public? I think that it’s a combination of all of these factors, and when you take a look at Howard “Alexander” Dumble’s work, you have one man who influenced the guitar world so much by building only around 300-350 guitar amps entirely by himself, taking months and months (if not years) to build the perfect tailor-made amplifier to suit the different playing styles of some of the best guitar playersin history, including Stevie Ray Vaughan, Robben Ford, Larry Carlton, Eric Johnson, etc…if that’s not legendary, then I don’t know what is.” * http://sebagosound.com/index.php?id=18 “No two Overdrive Specials were ever built exactly the same, but the basic circuit topology is what gives the Dumble amps their special qualities, and all Overdrive Special amps share this basic topology. The very open and uncompressed feel, overdrive without fuzz, warm sustaining cleans, and of course that saxophone -like midrange and sing that these amps are famous for all come from the cascaded four gain stage preamp and unique Dumble ‘tone stack’.”

This is the cheapest I’ve seen any Nembrini amp sell for. I went for the Edstortion pedal instead for a total of $17.80 but anything that gets the total over $50 will work.

https://www.nembriniaudio.com/collections/guitar-amplifier/products/overdrive-special-guitar-amplifier Intro price: $39. Regular price: $139. Nembrini Audio Overdrive Special Guitar Amplifier plugin is based on a Overdrive Special By Dumble* schematic #124. Nembrini Audio Overdrive Special is a two channel amplifier, which includes a clean channel and an “overdrive”channel. The overdrive channel is described as “cascading” from the first channel into, at least, one additional gain stage in the overdrive channel. This means that the clean channel’s tone stack and gain stages will “cascade” into the gain stage of the overdrive channel, causing the clean channel to become “overdriven".

Nembrini Weekend Sale - Shimmer Delay, Delay3000,and Analog FX Rack
ALC replied to Larry Shelby's topic in Deals
I would recommend the Analog Rack Bundle if you have PA/Nembrini standalone amps. What are people using as the amp sim host (performance, not recording)? I've been using Studio One, but tried out Live Rig (a bit too rudimentary, and the doesn't have the MIDI support that the iOS version has), Kushview Element (can build on Mac but haven't figured out Windows), Cantabile (Windows only), Gig Performer (waiting for a deal), and just now, Audified inTone 2 Solo (simple workflow that's familiar, like Studio One, but small text is rough on my eyes). -
Thanks. Here are the notes for the Exponential products: I wouldn't be surprised if these never become M1 Native, but at least they're supported on the current macOS (and may continue to work for subsequent OS releases).

This is a good time to use the Ableton Live $50 discount coupon you get from buying KORG controllers. Only direct at Ableton.com, though.
-
Make sure you check the list of free plugins to make sure that what you want is in there. Any recommendations from the current list? I bought two plugins for the previous promo (buy 2 get 2 free) but it just expired yesterday before I could figure out what I wanted. I may wait until there are more compelling freebies.

I purchased a iRig Keys I/O 49 to get SampleTank 4 MAX free back in December, 2019. TS 3.5 shows $399.99 for me. Do I understand correctly that any MAX product qualifies one for the MAXgrade?
-
Too bad my promotional SampleTank 4 MAX doesn't count for the MAXgrade.
-
You can get dearVR PRO and dearVR MONITOR from Plugin Aliiance for $31 each via their Forever $29 subscription. https://www.plugin-alliance.com/en/products.html?man=dear-reality&sort=manufacturerAZ
-
Interesting that they include PA products now.
-
And if you do go for the SoundWide bundle, purchase a $31 plugin at the same time and you can use the $25 monthly voucher.
-
I concur. I got MAX in a promotion and SE from the latest group buy (I ran out of stuff to get). I install SE for the smaller footprint and selected standalone addons (mainly pianos) from MAX that I use. Keep in mind that the newest libraries (like Electromagnetik and Cinekinetik) aren’t included in MAX (anything released after MAX).
-
I would second this. T-RackS is still not M1 Native. SampleTank 4 already is. T-RackS 5 was released in 2017.
-
I finally jumped in for $35 after Jam Points. I have Syntronik Deluxe. Let’s go all the way!
-
Purchased AHM5050, Bulldog, Shibalba, and The Crown for $16.98 using AAFIFTY. Thanks.
-
I've been waiting for this (something I would want for > $25). Purchased AMEK 9099 with the Soundwide Intro Bundle for $55.98 after applying $25 monthly voucher. I don't see myself using the voucher much in the future. The $15 deals were easy on the budget. $50 minimums take a lot more thought.

Yes, the basses from MODO BASS are unlocked in MODO BASS 2 CS.
-
Really? I only looked at MS-20 so far, but out-of-the-box, it had: Devine Bank Korg USA Bank MS-20 Factory 1 MS-20 Factory 2 After loading up all the listed banks, looks like there's some overlap (I didn't try to figure out the overlaps), but from a quick check, MS_20_Basses_JaseFOS is unique, at least.
-
If I install MODO DRUM 1.1.3 and then upgrade to 1.5, I can see all the old drum kits with only the three new ones as locked. I would expect MODO DRUM 1.5 SE to unlock those three new kits. IK is pretty good about using different SKUs to add different functionality like with AmpliTube and T-RackS. Anyhow, this is $28 after using $12 Jam Points to upgrade the three kits.

I had to install manually from my Windows laptop and discovered this page which has a bunch of preset banks to manually load: https://id.korg.com/static_pages/1 (the link from "Bonus Program") KORG MS-20 Sound Programs KORG USA Expansion Bank KORG USA Expansion Bank 2 Roland Kuit Sound Bank HardLeads JaseFOS Sound Bank Basses JaseFOS Sound Bank Pads JaseFOS Sound Bank SFX JaseFOS Sound Bank Apollo440 Sound Bank Richard Devine Sound Bank KORG Polysix Sound Programs KORG USA Expansion Bank KORG USA Expansion Bank 2 Francis Preve Sound Bank Richard Devine Sound Bank KORG Mono/Poly Sound Programs KORG USA Expansion Bank KORG USA Expansion Bank 2 JaseFOS Sound Bank Chris Liebing Sound Bank KORG M1 Sound Programs NUMB Sound Bank KORG WAVESTATION Sound Programs Richard Devine Sound Bank KORG LegacyCell Sound Programs Francis Preve Sound Bank Richard Devine Sound Pack

This is the lowest price I've seen any Nembrini amp plugin for desktop sell for. I appreciate Nembrini amp sims since they take so little CPU compared to amp suites like AmpliTube, BIAS FX, or Amp Room.
