I had StudioRack v12 and added StudioRack v13 when it came out. Until now, I had left them uninstalled. I just upgraded both of them so now I have two StudioRack v14 licenses. Anyhow, glad to have the capability to host third party VST3 plugins. Looking forward to prototyping some FX chains in Gig Performer and then saving them for use in Studio One.

Because these are Kontakt Player licenses, the vendor has to pay for the licenses, so they buy a batch of licenses at a time, and when they run out, they’re out until they buy more. I appreciate the generosity of the vendors who give out Kontakt Player licenses.

Installed RO-GOLD. Thanks. I picked up VPRE-73 for a really good deal (two years ago) but haven't used it recently. Good reminder to use it.
-
M1 Native. Yay! Didn't show up in Studio One on my MacBook Air M1, even after reboot. Had to delete ~/Library/Application Support/PreSonus/Studio One 5/ARM64/Plugins-en.settings to force it to rescan.

Purchased the MIDI pack from Best Service. Thanks.

I connect with Mixbus having learned sound on old analog sound boards (lower end Mackie, Yamaha, Soundcraft). I purchased V6 and 32C V7 (having spent a grand total of $19 + $49), but haven’t completed a project with them yet. I hope to actually finish a project to justify a future upgrade. Who’s using Mixbus? My main DAW is Studio One Pro (which I’m comfortable with). How’s the transition between other DAWs and Mixbus?
-
Since the AudioBox USB 96 is $100, it makes sense to just buy that to get Artist instead of doing the upgrade (while it’s still available). https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/AudioBox25--presonus-audiobox-usb-96-usb-audio-interface-25th-anniversary-edition Note that the newer cheapest interface (AudioBox GO) doesn’t include Artist. I assume once the existing stock of the AudioBox (USB 96, iOne, iTwo) sells out (eventually, but may not be soon), you’ll have to shell out more to get Artist bundled. I agree with your assessment of Studio One. Back to the OP, Waveform is still the best option for a multi-platform free DAW with VST support.
-
I would agree with this. Cubase and Live have bundled versions (with hardware) but no free versions. Studio One Prime doesn’t support 3rd party VSTs. A lot of very good free options (like Cakewalk) are Windows only. Waveform even supports Linux. So, if you want a common DAW for sharing projects that utilized VSTs, Waveform would be a reasonable choice (otherwise, if VSTs were not required, for pure audio recording, I’d go with Studio One Prime).

I’m seeing $33 in cart at PiB. It seems no retailers are selling an upgrade from LE (which should cost even less). I wonder why. Maybe the publisher isn’t offering it.
-
Thanks. Picked up EQ510 for free using the code.
-
I have deCoda LE. The upgrade on the vendor site (after logging in) shows up as $33.75. I wonder if there’s an upgrade being sold (at a discount) anywhere.

Didn't realize I had Dirty Tape until I checked. Purchased. Thanks.

Looking at the tone models list, I saw Mezzabarba (Mzero and Trinity) that I've never heard of before. Obviously (or strategically), the more esoteric/boutique models are in MAX.
-
There's also the iOS version: https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/tonexios/ That's exciting (to have the same modeling on iOS). I wonder there are any aural compromises vs. Mac/PC. From my reading, there's going to be a common TONEX store for iOS, TONEX Mac/PC, and AmpliTube 5. So, I'm assuming that if we purchase TONEX SE Mac/PC, it'll unlock the TONEX SE IAP on iOS (similar to how SSSR on MixBox Mac/PC unlocked SSSR on MixBox iOS). Correct?
-
The capture doesn't have the guitar in the workflow. It outputs a known signal and captures the results from the mics. Take a look of the TONEX Capture web pages for diagrams of how the gear is hooked up (at least with a re-amp box).
-
I assume that eventually, TONEX SE will be a free option with hardware (free bonus software title), in which case, it's a compelling reason to get it via a hardware purchase.
-
Looking at the system requirements here, they're taking advantage of the GPU (M1 or NVIDIA) for training the modeler. Cool.
-
This product would be incredible in a stomp box. A hardware version would compete against Line 6 Helix, Kemper, Fractal and Neural DSP.
-
Here's the tone models list: https://download.ikmultimedia.com/html/tonex/TONEX_Premium_Tone_Models.pdf The free TONEX CS is quite generous, giving you Fender, Marshall, Orange, Mesa Boogie, ENGL, 5150, Ampeg, and a whole bunch of stomps.
