How does Apple Silicon M1/M2 stack up?
-
I'm glad they changed the free version from HALion Sonic SE 3 to HALion Sonic 7 to make it consistent with HALion 7. It was confusing to have different version numbers.

BTW, if you're planning to buy Musicians 2 and then the Renaissance Maxx Upgrade from Musicians 2, do it in a single transaction. Maybe wait until the current 40% sale on bundles is over to register, then the value will be higher to exceed the freebie threshhold ($50 for one or $90 for two plugins). But then, the promotion just started and there's no end date specified.

After adding Waves Musicians 2 bundle to my account, apparently, it adds a single license to the account. I don't see an upgrade path from Musicians 2 to Renaissance Maxx on waves.com. Renaissance Maxx is not a unique superset of Musicians 2 (Doubler and SuperTap are not in Renaissance Max). So, after the upgrade, if the Renaissance Maxx license replaces the Musicians 2 license, then Doubler and SuperTap will no longer be licensed. @kitekrazy, can you confirm? Not that I really care about those two plugins ... just wanting clarity.

I got RVox V12 (not M1 Native) and SuperTap V14 as freebies. The current Musicians 2 sale price is $44.99 and my upgrade price is $33. Buying this for updated RVox and RComp for < $10. Maybe will upgrade to Renaissance Maxx in the future.

I had an Image Line account for an old product and I was able to add the bundle to my cart (but didn't pull the trigger yet). Just having an account might be sufficient.

After getting IK TONEX SE, my zeal for picking up more amp sims has greatly diminished (though admittedly I already have most of the lower gain PA amp sims).
-
I just yesterday updated Kontakt 7 Player to 7.1.6. Unusual to turn around a new version so quickly.
-
So, these apparently are the next gen of compressors in Guitar Rig. I see VC 160, VC 2A, and VC 76 with Softube on them. I wonder if there are any sonic differences.

You can use any IR loader and cabinet IRs. I actually use the free MConvolutionEZ (part of MFreeFXBundle) with MTurboAmp. You can find free IRs out there. https://www.google.com/search?q=free+cabinet+irs

Purchased. I'm getting these TDR plugins as they drop to no brainer prices (with freebie).
-
FYI, not yet Apple Silicon Native.

TDR Kotelnikov GE Is $11 at Plugin Boutique. Retail is $50. https://www.pluginboutique.com/product/3-Studio-Tools/71-Dynamic-Processor/4657-TDR-Kotelnikov-GE?a_aid=61d71088e0f85 Current freebie with purchase is Time Shaper 3.

Should probably share this video, since he's paying for the promotion.

Both AmpliTube iOS and SampleTank iOS are still waiting for AUv3 support. Until they get updated, I'm holding off on spending anything on those ecosystems (though I really like SampleTank iOS otherwise). Using Nembrini or TONEX for guitar and Gospel Musicians Pure Synth Platinum or MKSensation Xtreme for ROMpler instead. I really like MixBox for iPad--got it at a previous sale. I mostly use it for Sunset Sound Reverb in the AUM (after amp sims). Just wish it were Universal (iPhone/iPad) so I can use it across the board. For me, on iOS, TONEX + MixBox + AUM (AUv3 host) has replaced AmpliTube (at least sonically). AmpliTube is better integrated though so it's easier to use.

I did the same for $18.

Purchased for $20, just for the four AAS libraries I don’t have yet.

PA UA Special ⚡️ Reverb, Modular FX, Vinyl FX, Bass Enhancement
ALC replied to Larry Shelby's topic in Deals
Hopefully, they’ll be reprising all the deals at the end of the month to be able to mix and match deals to use the vouchers. -
You actually have more activations than from Deskew (it’s either Windows or Mac or pay more for dual license). The Deskew version bundles some plugins (TH-U and other freebies) but they’re more as examples than anything. You can always install the Deskew version to get those plugins. The templates are different to integrate the PA plugins. Aside from that, feature-wise, they’re the same.

D'oh. "GPU Audio Early Access Plugin can't be installed on this disk. macOS version 12 or later is required." I'm still on Big Sur/macOS 11.

For me, this makes the deCoda Upgrade from deCoda LE only $20.98. Update: upgrade purchased.

That’s a great price. GP4 is my default app for hosting guitar plugins.

I clicked on the Twitter button but didn’t post the tweet. Purchased.
