  1. I'm hoping that version 11 will finally deliver the much needed (and requested) bug fixes, stability and productivity improvements. Matthias Quellmann seems to have hinted that may be the case in this post: https://www.steinberg.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=283&t=189447&p=1011022&hilit=boring#p1011022

    UJAM Mellow

    Yeah, but is it Yellow?
  3. I watched it too as well as the ones by Chris Lord-Alge, Piper Payne, Tony Maserati, and Chris Baseford. The only one I found useful/insightful was the one by Chris Baseford. It's not just that Waves plugs their plugins, but the classes were very unfocused. I plan to watch Eddie Kramer's masterclass; but with low expectations. I'm hoping to be surprised.
  4. Are these also included for the 79EUR price, or do you have to buy them separately?
  5. Are you saying that 79EUR buys all 12 N4 Packs? I must be reading this wrong. It sounds too good to be true (unless these plugins are not that great).
  6. Hmm, it seems like some of the problems introduced in 2.1.9 have not yet been resolved. https://forum.positivegrid.com/topic/3940/bias-update-version-2-1-9-4900
  7. Does this fix address the following issue? "Since the 2.1.9 release, we've changed the policy on BIAS FX 2's ToneCloud licensing. The accessibility of the presets has been adjusted. From now on, the presets that contain BIAS Amp 2 content will be unavailable to those who do not own the respecting license. This is merely to reinforce the same principle across all additional contents (BIAS Amp 2, BIAS Pedal, Celestion, expansion packs) for BIAS FX 2." https://forum.positivegrid.com/topic/3594/bias-fx-2-this-preset-requires-bias-amp-2?page=1
  8. Sphere is an easy to use and free reverb plugin that can add depth and life to any sound material. The reverb is based on a modified Schroeder reverberator with added predelay and supports stereo channels only. The plugin UI has been created using vector graphics and supports blur free resizing. https://www.sonicbits.com/sphere.html
  9. I just bought the WG2 MkII and can't stop playing it! At first it seemed to have this wierd kind of hollow sound to it, but there's something extremely musical about it. Previously the Embertone Walker Steinway D was my favorite piano to play; but now I have another favorite. What I like about the Walker D is that it's so clean and resonant. The WG2 MkII on the otherhand is very 'colored' and full of character. The difference is like a Taylor (Walker D) vs. a Martin (WG2 MkII). For $20 it's and amazing buy!
  10. I'm thinking about getting this: https://www.pluginboutique.com/product/2-Effects/39-FX-Bundle/6290-SoundSpot-Creative-5-for-5-Bundle
  11. Is Thorn Solo a lite version of Thorn, or does it have unique features? Then again, maybe it's Han Solo's little brother.
  12. TwinPhaser is a stereo phaser effect with two separate phaser modules for the left and right audio channels. The user can adjust the modulation frequency, modulation depth, feedback, and the mix amount parameters separately on both channels. As a result, TwinPhaser can be used to apply complex and wide stereo phasing to the processed audio signal. https://vst.saschart.com/twinphaser_allpass_free_vst_make_music
  13. So does this mean that if I create presets today with supported Waves v10 and v11 that they may become unusable in the future? That would be annoying.
  14. Have they ever offered such a deal shortly after release of a new version?
  15. Hmm. To me, Pro-R is the weakest plugin in an otherwise stellar lineup. Shortly after getting Pro-R I put it on everything but then slowly started to replace it with other plugins (even some freebies) because it colors everything that goes through it in such an unpleasent way. I was really surprised because many instances of C2, Q2, and Saturn can be found in almost all of my projects. Don't get me wrong, the design -- like all FF plugins -- is fantastic. And the GUI animation is absolutely mesmerizing -- like a plugin lava lamp. But the sound is just plain wierd. Despite reading the entire manual, watching all the videos I could find, and spending many days with the plugin, I was never able to get it to sound good. Perhaps Pro-R2 will be better (to my ears)...
  16. I just ran the ASC and synchronized my license of Rev Plate-140 and it still comes up as unregistered in Cubase. Is this normal behavior for Arturia plugins -- i.e., do they require us to periodically 'check-in'?
  17. I've tried FF, Chrome, and (gasp!) IE ... none worked. I think we need the secret password.
  18. Is anyone else having this problem: When you open Miroslav Philharmonik 2 or Syntronik, it defaults to the last-used sound-file path and displays an error message saying its sounds cannot be found. True you can redirect it to the correct path and rescan, but why should we have to do this everytime? Is it possible that both VIs share the same path?
  19. Okay, last Amplitude 4 question (and, yes, I did read the manual and look online). Can you increase the size of the GUI? It's sooooo small!!!
  20. Okay, I see that too. So, the problem does seem to be the way Cubase reports the version number. Good to know.
  21. Just to make sure we're looking in the same place, is this where you're seeing version 4.91?
  22. Wow, this is truly bizare. How can Cubase report version 4.30 but then load the plugin that clearly shows 4.91? My god, I'm in the Twilight Zone!!! Oh well, back to troubleshooting...I'll report my findings when I'm done. Thanks again, Larry.
  23. Hmm, just noticed that the various choices for stomps, amps, insets, etc. displayed when clicking the gray buttons in the top red bar do not correspond with the graphic routing display at the bottom that opens when you click "Prest Browser". I would think they'd be the same, no?
