e-Instruments Desolate Guitars Fragment - A Free Guitar Instrument
locrian replied to Larry Shelby's topic in Deals
I was able to get a license key on the first try. I'm going to try it out tomorrow. -
I went to UAD's website thinking this sale was for everyone, but, you need a vault key to be eligible. I laughed when I saw the following screen after trying to buy the bundle. It brought to mind "Signs" (by the Five Man Electrical Band).

FYI: download size is 7.2GB.

I think it would mean more to him if he can guess the code.

I think you may have missed the next line in my post to you: However - thanks to your post - I saved the image, opened it, and then I saw my code! And then this one: Thank you! I may not have received the coupon code in the inline image within the message due to Yahoo's formatting. Anyway, I'm all set now. Thanks again for the needed push...

Thanks for replying. My issue was that I couldn't find the coupon code (as described above). Cheers...

I checked my email message again, and there was no coupon code anywhere in the message. However - thanks to your post - I saved the image, opened it, and then I saw my code! Thank you!

Was anyone able to actually download the 'free' plugin? I followed all the instructions, received an email from Plugin Boutique, clicked on the Bloom KSHMR Lite image that said 100% off, was taken to the Plugin Boutique website, but the plugin is listed at $29. I thought maybe it would reduce when I checked-out, but it remained at $29. The only download link I received was for the stems. Does anyone know how to get it for free?

You can also save on voicebanks by buying them via a Custom Voice Bundle (for 2+ voices). I had to hunt for the link, so I'm posting it here.

Solid State Logic Sweetwater Greatest Hits Plug-in Bundle $49.99

So, pretty pretty good, hah? -
The final version of Synthesizer V Studio 2 Pro 2.1.1 has just been released too. You can read about it here.

A Dreamtonics voicebanks update (v201) was just released. The update focuses on enhancing the pronunciation and sound quality, becoming available after extensive beta testing sessions where participating users tried out research prototypes and offered valuable feedback. The v201 beta testers observed improved pitch accuracy, significantly better cross-lingual pronunciation, and the return of unique vocal timbres that sound closer to the original vocalists. You can obtain the updates by launching Synthesizer V, opening the Product Manager, and then clicking on the Update option under each voice. A link to the announcement can be found here.

Thank you @Brian Walton - that worked perfectly! I was just in the process of typing-up a support ticket when your reply came through. I'm going to bookmark the link you sent to prevent further grief. Cheers...

UJam seems to have removed the ability to authorize their plugins via the serial number obtained from Beat Magazine. I followed the instructions provided here, but there's no place to enter your credentials. And there's no option on their installer app to authorize. How f-ing stupid!

I don't doubt its quality or utility. I really like, and frequently use all the UVI VIs and FXs that I own. I just don't need the SonicBundle now given that I'm still going through the two Arturia bundles I bought last year (while they were deeply discounted). Prior to the release of the SonicBundle I was buying VIs/FXs that I wanted when they went on sale. But, as I mentioned above, I'm now going to stop that practice and just buy the entire SonicBundle (maybe in a few years).
-
I stopped buying individual UVI products since they introduced SonicBundle for the same reason I never buy NI plugins outside the upgrade cycle. I plan on buying SonicBundle one day and don't want to pay twice for any plugins. I realize that buying individual ones may lower my SonicBundle price, but it's not a 1:1 reduction, so I'll just wait. I wonder if UVI considered this when they introduced SonicBundle.

Version 16 now leaves a 153MB process (WavesPluginServer) in RAM after closing your DAW. And that's in addition to the 47MB WavesLocalServer from earlier versions. That's 200MB of wasted memory! Although these are easily terminated via the TaskMgr, why should I have to do it myself?
-
I just spent some time with the demo and, although there are a few decent patches, nothing really grabbed me. So, I'm going to put this on my 'consider again later' list.

Preset walk-through here.

My upgrade price is $29.99. Sniff.

I don't know. But with the discount, it was low enough for me to buy.
