  1. Previously I could not get any discounts for the four older products I own because they were bought individually , not as a bundle. This time they are offering $150 off. Is it enough to tempt me? Jury is out.
  2. New library added to the Musio subscription https://musio.com/
  3. Installed. (I have the Sonic Pass sub). I have a quick look, I ran through some presets and and played with the controls. It sounds pretty good, but its not really ARP Odyssey emulation. I have the Behringer Odyssey hardware clone and this is quite different (possibly more versatile in a non authentic way with its sample layer in addition to two oscillators.) Some of the samples certainly sound like a Odyssey. If you want a more authentic VSTi Odyssey emulation look at GForce of Korg but this is a nice addition to the UVI synths and despite having the Behringer I will probably use it on occasion.
  4. That was my guess. An alternative suggestion was a large spring with a pickup, but why? A sort of resonator like a spring reverb? A controller seems more likely.
  5. Oops. I meant to post this in the coffee house. But here someone here will probably post a link to a VST version on sale. ?
  6. Does anyone know what the "electronic slinky" played by Patrick Moraz on Relayer and some of his solo albums was? The best description I have found was it was something he had developed and he would not divulge any details.
  7. I use it mainly for writing and find it very useful in fitting words and melody together, I am not singer and it helps me realise what is in my head a lot faster. I get it to the point where I can produce a guide vocal to send to a singer and leave it at that. One of my singers finds that useful. One could go deeper and improve the result but I don't have the need. Most words come out OK and some need phonetic spelling. The odd word just won't come out right, but I think there are some tools to address this if you dig deep. A bit of niggle for me is if I export MIDI and import into a track on Studio One the notes and lyrics are offset. I like to have a track with notes and lyrics to send with other selected parts to Notion to produce lead sheets so more editing is needed.
  8. All the Waves EPs are very good. Make sure you download the HD library rather than the standard unless you are really tight on disc space.
  9. Because the GForce price includes VAT if applicable in your country of residence. Buying from a US retailer you evade the VAT.
  10. Product page. https://www.gforcesoftware.com/products/ob-1/?utm_campaign=OB-1 Release&utm_source=emailCampaign&utm_content=&utm_medium=email Everyplugin price is very competitive.
  11. Horses for courses, but for me, unless the perpetual licence and subsequent updates are dirt cheap I prefer the subscription model. I am currently subscribed on a monthly basis to see how it works out. I will probably keep the sub running but I don't see me getting a perpetual licence.
  12. I have signed up for the sub on a monthly basis to see how it goes. There is a lot I like about Cakewalk's way of doing things but I am almost exclusively using Studio One these days.
  13. I passed on the Pianet T intro sale. I have several Pianet sample libraries and none of them really float my boat, but I tried the demo and was hooked and bought it in this sale.
  14. LOL. I had the original and the MC202 sequencer version back in the day. I used to sync the MC202 to a Fostex 4 track cassette and multitrack. I was complex but fun.
  15. Installed (via the SonicPass sub) These are nice sounding effects with a bit of character and can see using them in ahead of the zillion other chorus / flange / delay options at my disposal in some cases.
  16. Thanks for the response to my issue. I contacted Waves support who provided the solution. It appears Studio One VST scan was not picking up the update properly and resetting the VST settings and forcing a complete scan fixed the issue.
  17. Has any one go Waves 15 working. They have scanned OK but wont load in both Studio One 6 and Bitwig. (I went to try in Cakewalk but I need to sort out the Bandlab account authorisation before I can do that,)
  18. Flute Flight is the only one I don't have. I think I will wait a bit before I decide if I want it or not.
  19. It would be worth checking out Amplesound too. I notice they have a MIDI guitar mode where each string has a different MIDI channel which I assume would be the best approach. Their Riffer strum sequencer feature uses the different MIDI channels to specify what string each note is played on.
  20. Oh well, hopefully there will be improvements.
  21. Well, I just WUPed ny Studio 4 licence while the WUP is half price. I have not really got the hang of Bitwig yet so I need to do a bit of studying. I do like the idea one can exchange project data with Studio One using DAWProject.
  22. 29 Euros for me. I have V collection X
