  1. Here you go. You're welcome. MIDI.mid
  2. I believe most if not all VSTs that have both versions include both versions when you download them. Check your Cakewalk Plug-in Manager. Or Preferences>VST Settings>uncheck 'Hide Related VST 2 Plug-ins'.
  3. I believe 'Insert>Time/Measures' will move everything the selected amount on every track at once.
  4. Try Normalizing. First, make a copy of the tracks for archiving, in case it's not what you like and you hit save. Then experiment with the different Normalize settings. Process>Apply Effect>Normalize.
  5. Welcome to the forum. The pads on the drum synth (presumably Studio Instrument Drums) are for auditioning the sounds, not for playing or recording. The synth depends on MIDI notes in a MIDI track to make noise. You can click in the notes with your mouse in either the Staff view or Piano Roll View (PRV), or record the MIDI live from a keyboard or drum machine. Cakewalk by Bandlab (CbB) includes an on-screen keyboard to record the notes. I've never used it so have no idea how it works. I'm sure there's something about it in the Help files. So, you need a MIDI track with its output set to the synth. You need the synth, which will create audio from the MIDI notes and output it to an audio track. You need to Arm the MIDI track, then click the Record button. Start recording. Good luck!
  6. You'll have to check the keyboard's manual. Look for how to turn off "Local" sounds. On my Yamaha, there's a dial that I can use to select local on or off.
  7. Must be a Country song.
  8. It looks like you will need to make a template. It seems to be project-specific, so once you disable the settings, they remain disabled. I opened several New projects using CbB's stock templates, and it was always On. I haven't done that since I made my templates. ?
  9. So, does it or does it not? Are you saying in Cakewalk by Bandlab (CbB) that there is nothing listed in Preferences (P) for MIDI inputs? How about outputs? How are you inserting the Neo Piano? Welcome to the forum and good luck.

    Not able to record audio

I'm not sure what this means. You record audio from an input into your sound card/audio interface. You may be able to record a track to another track with a plug-in affecting the audio. If you intend to use the RealTek, you must have something plugged into either the microphone input or the line input for a choice to be available. If nothing is plugged in, no choice. You may already know this, but it bears repeating. Welcome to the forum.
  11. Just (re)discovered that trying some things. ? Process>Apply MIDI Effect works with the Cakewalk arpeggiator, the only one I have to try.
  12. Wouldn't that make you a good comedian? ?
  13. There are many threads here about installing old and new Cakewalk products and the best method to do that. If you ever purchased and registered SONAR Platinum and created a 'single sign on' when the old Cakewalk went out of business, you can download it from the Cakewalk Command Center (CCC) after you've logged in with those old credentials. That's if you want the VSTs and VSTis included with Platinum. Or if you just like it better. Cakewalk by Bandlab (CbB) is an updated, supported and continuously developed continuation of SONAR. Preferably, you should remove all traces of CbB from your system before re-installing SONAR, then install CbB again so it will 'see' those SONAR VSTs. Doing it in reverse may miss some important things from SONAR. Look around a bit and find those threads with the how-to instructions, then you will (should) be able to have and use both.
  14. Adding "Solved" to the thread title will help them find the solution quicker.
  15. Do you want SONAR Platinum to open, or are you getting that while trying to open Cakewalk by Bandlab, whose forum this is?
  16. I also am a hobbyist. I began with buying a Yamaha keyboard with drum sounds included, a 4-track TASCAM cassette recorder and some guitars so I could record some of my songs. Then my brother the programmer suggested I try a computer program. He thought it would be easier. So, I bought Cakewalk's Music Creator 2003, which was MC 2 with a MIDI-to-MPU 401 game port cable. The TASCAM has been in a box ever since then, except for a couple remote recordings I needed to do. I use almost no plug-ins, EQ, et cetera (although I've been told a few times some more mastering would be helpful) since my hearing is so bad I can't tell the difference and all I want to do is get my music arranged and recorded. I have a simple layout for my starting template, I try to keep things simple for my simple mind.
  17. Edit your post and add 'solved' to the title.
