Cakewalk Playback Sounds Change When Playing Recoded Sound
57Gregy replied to Supunthaka Sashintha's question in Q&A
Make sure the sampling rate and bit depth are the same for Cakewalk and your microphone. -
Remember, don't transpose the drum tracks. ?

In many places, "do not" is seen as a challenge.

Watched a documentary last night about The Who's management team, "Lambert and Stamp", from 2014. Lots of funny stories, especially how the 2 men didn't know how to do any of that stuff but did it anyway! Hey. let's make a movie! Hey, let's manage a band! Hey, let's start a record label! Why don't we buy a movie studio? When Daltrey and Moon had a particularly vicious fight and Kit Lambert persuaded Roger to stop hitting Keith anymore. "It was hell", Roger said. For 3 years, Keith took every opportunity to push Daltrey's buttons to try to make him lose his temper.

Happy wife, you get some unexpected studio time.

Okay now, Tim. I've been sequestering myself in my room for the last 10 days, as recommended by the doctor. Still coughing a little, though. I probably caught it at work, all those filthy loyal customers I was in contact with. I didn't give it to my roommates, thank goodness. Probably going back to work Sat.

An audio interface won't 'detect' anything plugged into it; they will work or not. If it's some type of USB or Bluetooth mic that is plugged into the computer, it won't 'detect' that either. You should only use microphones that plug into the interface with 1/4 inch plugs or XLR plugs. When working with your recording program, all audio should go in and out of the interface. That is part of the simplicity of using an audio interface; one device, no complications. I'm sorry you're having trouble registering your device. Did it come with a CD or DVD of utilities and drivers? Perhaps with a software mixer? Or directions to log into their web site to download these things?

Update: The plants died.

My brother the tax assessor once evaluated a multi-million-dollar home that had just been completed in his county. This was in the early aughts. A hurricane blew through a few weeks later and there was a picture in USA Today of that mansion with a car in its pool. Milton, Florida or thereabouts.

Right-click in an empty area at the top so you can select which modules you want. You can also drag them around to place them where you want in the control bar.

The Nektar, being a controller, makes no sound of its own, so the signal must go through some other synthesizer, such as the Microsoft GS Wavetable synth in many computer sound cards, or a software synth. The soft synth's output will be audio and go through the interface.

Imagine relaxing in your back yard on a cool autumn evening, listening to some John Williams while warmed by this firepit.

I assume you're using the ASIO driver? If not, use it.

Yes, and it is installed on this 64-bit machine. Just for checking things. My DAW is a dinosaur (like me), 32-bit XP with E-Mu 0404. As much as I have used it the last few years, it might as well be a fossil.

I have SONAR HS 6 XL, which is 32-and 64-bit. Would they have made the later HS 7 worse in that way? In any case, removing SONAR is not recommended if you want to retain all of your plug-ins and synths.

Thanks. Slept more last night, fewer fever spikes. I'M ALIVE!

Try it again. My roommate did something to her foot Sunday night. So early Monday I took her to the ER, and they discovered a broken bone there. I don't like hanging out in ERs with all the sick people, so I mostly walked around the parking lot (car park to our English friends) or sat in the car. Since I'm a 2nd shift guy, I usually stay up late, sleep late. I had gotten only 5 hours sleep and I was feeling it. After 3 hours, back home and I started feeling bad. I thought it was just sleeplessness, so I took a nap. It didn't get better through the day, and that night I couldn't sleep at all. Headache, coughing, chills. Tuesday morning I took a COVID test: I got the 'rona! I've been fighting fever and aches along with the headache and coughing. Highest was 100.3. Despite all the naysayers, I used to wear a mask whenever I went somewhere with people. But when I started working 2 days a week at WalMart*, I just couldn't stand having a mask on for 8 hours. It is no longer required, so I took it off. I stopped wearing one altogether, but I know that's not why I got the 'vid. It could be, though. Second day, still feverish, coughing, but it's getting better all the time. I know there have been a couple other folks here who acquired COVID, thankfully my symptoms aren't too bad. So far, my roommates haven't been afflicted, which is worrying because Ann is 74, with COPD, high blood pressure and a heart condition. I have been sequestered in my room now for 2 days.

Oops. Meant for the 'random thought' fred.

I assume you fish exclusively for bass, to keep it musical.
