I still operate as if this was a computer from 2002; Bounce, archive. Bounce, archive and so on. Once everything is audioized (if that's a word), I save it with a different name and work on that project. I don't use effects until I'm done recording. I seldom even use soft synths until I finished tracking, using the Yamaha keyboard's sounds instead. If they're not good enough for the song (rarely, I'm a simple man), I will search for a soft synth that has what I want.

For what it's worth, I have never gotten any emails from Bandlab. Or notifications. I'm logged in all the time, too. Are these emails? Or notifications on this site?

Make sure 'Enable MIDI Output' is on.

If it was possible to revert, that version would not be able to be activated, therefore useless. They changed the activation servers such that when the old CbB phones home to get activated, that number is "no longer in service or has been changed".

Okay, you're adding reverb to the soft synth audio tracks that the MIDI track is feeding. My misunderstanding.

Those are the main outputs of your audio interface. You can remove them from Preferences by selecting just the one you want to use or click "Strips" at the top left of the Console view and deselect them there.

As far as I know, MIDI can't have reverb. There is an Echo Delay plug-in, though.

How was it played? On a standard 4-track machine or is it what was called quadrophonic?

I have a copy of the Rolling Stones's "Their Satanic Majesties Request" that one of my brothers bought in Germany in 1968. The Decca version with the lenticular photo on the front. The plastic insert is a little scratched, but still there.

Here in Raleigh, GC and SA are across the street from each other. The music store workforce has just multiplied. Now the GC folks have got an incentive to provide better customer service and to learn more about the products they sell. Got my Fender 12-string, Focusrite Saffire and SONAR Home Studio 6 at SA. Got my Yamaha MX and Epiphone ES 335 at GC, as well as cords, stands, etc. throughout the years. Wonder if the prices will go up here?

If you have never worked with video, play around with one of the basic programs you probably already have on your computer. It's fun! And educational. But remember that the Cakewalk programs aren't video editors; they're for synching up and composing music to video.

What is the output of these MIDI tracks set to? A hardware device like a MIDI keyboard or sound module? Or the Microsoft GS Wavetable synth on your sound card? Or a software synthesizer?

If the WASAPI drive works well for you, great. I spent some time last night looking at the Lynx offerings (man, those are some good-looking interfaces! And pricey!) Which one are you using? In any case, of the ones I saw, only 1 mentioned an ASIO driver, but I can't believe it's not offered with some of their other devices. Or I didn't look for enough. If it was me, I would try to find out why that happened and get it fixed so the ASIO driver is available. By the way, from where did you get the ASIO driver? Downloaded from Lynx? Or one that was already on your computer?
