working for me in CxB and S1, see this thread

noting several folders in the VST3 dir here with a ".vst3" extension and they all scan/load as expected including Tonex, but that was only after a complete uninstall/reinstall after the latest update. could be some other issue given that it's IK, but works as expected now. the latest update from Kazrog failed to load despite appearing to scan successfully, killing the extension does the trick. ? ... also failed to scan in S1 V5.2, had to run Remove Plug-in Settings and rescan after changing the folder extension, looks ok for now

? for the theme editor, one of the 1st changes made here, although the tool tips are accurate when considering the default state.

What are you using as your Studio Monitor Controller
jackson white replied to jesse g's topic in The Coffee House
NOS McOne gets a lot of use here. solid, well built, passive, not a lot to go wrong, but not sure they're still in production, 2nd hand running ~$200. -
it did at first. had to do a complete uninstall (Control Panel/Programs & Features). working better atm.
-
only running the SE version but clicking on the Librarian tab (however accidentally) locks the program up forcing you to exit Tonex to do -anything- else. (smh)

only a bit of a test drive given the need to troubleshoot the update, but provides much needed improvement to a rather convoluted interface. still a ways to go though. user folders are great, but the drag & drop behavior has me smh (keeps jumping to the target folder rather than displaying the source folder). ya, only have to do it once (or twice), but a rather tedious implementation that differs from well established OS practices... idk not sure i get the perceived priority on high gain models either, it's like they do their marketing on gearspace forums... that said, giving a shout out to the Swart from Amalgam, in addition to a nice range of Vox tones.

Anyone have any problems opening this in CW? nm, directory issues? resolved with a complete uninstall, reinstall...

check the IK Product Manager "... a fresh interface with user-requested features, new navigational tools and a faster workflow." "... free update for all versions of TONEX ..."

UAD Universal Audio Custom 2 Bundle - Pick Any 2 for $99
jackson white replied to Larry Shelby's topic in Deals
UAD specials have been rather inconsistent. the initial pass (for me) would only allow selection of native plugins, which at some point changed (for me). lesson learned. had that on the list (see above) and quite pleased UAD did not offer it (to me) at the time. The Klanghelm TENs is a more than better alternate imho. great sound at a much better price, lots of useful options and DRM you wish every dev would use. and just awesome on snares... -

Arturia Augmented Strings Updated to 1.6.0.4395

a "dark mode" for a number of their newer UIs would have been nice. using these is like going to a rave at 11:00 am, without shades, -
right, who needs another -eq-... well, had actually tried the original release (Salt) and it has become the 1st eq out of the box (after ProChannel). kinda liked -not- having a visualizer but np, there's a useful range of tone between the 3 different models. always considered the Maag for that 'air' band, but this has been great, especially for vox.

the ACL show for a more in depth sampling of where they at. sudan archives is a bit of a trip as well, but there's a nice range of musical ideas going on there. https://www.pbs.org/video/lil-yachty-sudan-archives-4qo06a/ ... despite posts decrying the lack of 'good music these days', it's out there. you just ain't gonna find it in your YT feed if you've been searching for Billy Joel live at msg...

saw this on sale at the local 'dispensary', had no clue as to what it was... looks like a lot of fun for $30, sorry i missed the get on board price.

I thought this was going to be a new EZdrummer expansion.

@smallstonefan long time BFD user. updates to BFD3 have been minor at best. any significant changes, improvements, rumours of a BFD4, etc have been very slow in coming. the only thing they've spent time on (apparently) is releasing a free player. -if- everything is working fine for you as is, i would -not- recommend the downgrade to the current InMusic version. the two biggest issues imo are: 1) the InMusic DRM -requires- online re-authorization every 90 days or less. it's improved since the initial rollout, but still less than perfect. if you have reliable 24/7 online access, it's not that big of a deal to reauthorize, -unless- the InMusic servers are acting up. If you do any sort of remote/location/live work, forget it. 2) Once you make the switch. -all- of your prior investment in expansions gets hijacked by the new InMusic DRM. you no longer own it per the original license and it is now only as good as InMusic's capability to support it. they seem to be living down to their reputation... fwiw, i keep a dedicated rack mount server to run everything purchased & installed prior to InMusic. they are still the best sounding (by far) for my needs.

Klanghelm TENS and TENS jr. - studio spring reverb plugins released
jackson white replied to Szilárd's topic in Deals
nice comment from the lead dev for Valhalla. "We put TENS on just to give it a listen. Sounds SPECTACULAR. I'm super impressed with both the spoing-y-ness of it (physical modeling right there!) and the overall smooth sound. Love it on drums. The different modes all sound great. Really captures that BX sound, where it has that spring sound while overall being much closer to a plate reverb (and a well tuned plate reverb at that). Nice work!" -
Klanghelm TENS and TENS jr. - studio spring reverb plugins released

not exactly any old spring verb, but the AKG BX series. UAD has one (the BX20) for $199 or maybe $99, depending on the promotion. have some IRs of a BX20, but the Klangheim is way easier to use. and for 24€, a deal. have and use the Fuse Audio Labs VREV-305 as well, finding this class of spring verbs to work well with acoustic/organic ensembles, or pretty much anything where you're working with a smaller/more intimate vibe and trying not to wash things out with a plate or some digital verb. ymmv. -
