  1. Be adviced that when people discuss Sound Magic products on the internet the focus seems to be on how bad they are.
  2. I was initially very intrigued when I was under the impression that the voice would be sort of gender-ambiguous. Probably got fooled by the pronouns. Then I listened to some demos and was disappointed to hear a distinctly masculine voice that didn't sound very good either. But now that I watched that video I'm interested again. I like the tone and I could definitely see myself using Saros on a backing track.
  3. This week the free game on Epic Games is Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion. "Play as an adorable yet trouble-making turnip. Avoid paying taxes, solve plantastic puzzles, harvest crops and battle massive beasts all in a journey to tear down a corrupt vegetable government!" The game is free until November 9, 2023. Gameplay video (with the player constantly speaking, so a bit annoying):
  4. I thought Tonex was supposed to make all these amp sims and IRs unnecessary. Is it not the messiah it was hyped up to be, or have I misunderstood how it works?
  5. Dark Farm has a pretty good price, I paid twice that amount when I bought it. Other discounts are pretty meh, I was hoping for better. If you're planning to buy more than one it's worth checking the prices at Don't Crack, because they give you a quantity discount up to 20%.
  6. Looks like the sound packs give you the deepest discount. 4 packs in the cart for a total of $54. That's an okay price, IMO.
  7. New newsletter subscribers can get a €25 discount on their first order. Not quite enough to entice me, though.
  8. 70% of the €25, in the case my previous message didn't make it clear.
  9. If you buy directly from Melda, it's calculated from the price you actually paid for the plugins. If you buy from a third party, they assume you paid 50% of the retail price and base their calculations on that.
  10. Maybe I'm reading too much into this, but... Don't take the responsibility you were given too seriously. Posting deals is a volunteer work that we appreciate, but it should make you happy to do it. If it doesn't, don't do it. No one here is going to blame you for not doing something you don't enjoy. If there is a deal of a lifetime to be had, someone else will post it, I promise. Most of the deals are the same old ones, so not posting about them is not a big deal. Take care of yourself first.
  11. Too bad they don't allow license transfers. There are plenty of people selling accounts with multiple synths, but it's hard to negotiate about the price when you want only one or two of them.
  12. You do it inside the program, if I remember correctly. Instructions here: https://forum.synthesizerv.com/t/topic/6220 Under the heading "Updating your products".
  13. This sounds really beautiful, but the price... oof.
  14. The early bird took it. BTW, have they sent out a generic $25 voucher? If yes, could someone please post the code here? I don't get any of their emails for some reason. (I have convinced myself that I need the ProAudioDSP DSM v3 and I think I might be willing to pay $25 for it instead of playing the waiting game.)
  15. I'm about one hour early (schedules, you see), but this week the free games on Epic Games are be Tandem: A Tale Of Shadows and The Evil Within 2. Tandem : A Tale of Shadows: "...redefines the puzzle platformer genre with a unique gameplay and exceptional aesthetics. Help Emma and the teddy bear Fenton solve the mystery of the disappearance of the famous magician Thomas Kane." The Evil Within 2: "Detective Sebastian Castellanos has lost everything, including his daughter, Lily. To save her, he must descend into the nightmarish world of STEM. Horrifying threats emerge from every corner, and he must rely on his wits to survive. For his one chance at redemption, the only way out is in." The games are free until November 2, 2023. Tandem: A Tale of Shadows gameplay video: The Evil Within 2 gameplay video:
  16. Thanks, that seems to work. My library uses PressReader and I can access the magazine there. Feels like cheating, though.
  17. Note that if you have Minimonsta 1 you can buy the upgrade directly from GForce for £25 (+ VAT). Or at least they gave me a voucher after I asked them about it, so I imagine others are eligible too.
  18. What's the cheapest way to get this? PocketMags offers a monthly digital subscription for €3,49 (billed monthly) and that somehow makes it €3.22 per issue. Or I could get an annual subscription for €33.99 (€2.61 per issue), which might be okay if there are other good freebies to be had. Are these software freebies usually some kind of lite versions or the real deal? I remember there being some kind of CM versions of some synths floating around at some point.
  19. 12 Is Better Than 6 is currently free* on Fanatical. See first post for details. * free if you subscribe to their newsletter.
  20. Oh. Stealth marketing. Well, not a huge loss, I'd say. Though if that has happened to others too it might be worth sending JRR Shop an email.
  21. Nope. Where does it say that you should get one?
  22. I bought the GForce Oberheim Bundle: OB-E + SEM and that gave me one serial. On the GForce website I redeemed the serial by selecting "Oberheim - The Bundle" from the dropdown and that added three products into my account: Oberheim OB-E, Oberheim-X and Oberheim SEM.
  23. I'm fairly confident, yes.
  24. No, only one serial for "Oberheim - The Bundle". I had purchased the SEM earlier from AudioDeluxe but I never got around registering it.
