Did they ever reply? I bought the Everything bundle last January and missed the boat on the recent MPS upgrade deal. I'm feeling very entitled, as usual, but I wonder if there is actually some kind of an alternative deal to be had.

...and I pulled it. Now I just have to sell my unregistered license of Oberheim SEM to someone so I can convince myself that this was money well spent.

I think this forum is a very special place where people are intelligent enough to have an actual discussion about different topics and put some thought into their posts. There are forums where every post is knee-jerk reaction filled with with whatever brown nuggets float on to the surface of the mind, and those places become very quickly echo chambers where dissidents are downvoted or kicked out. And not just only for positive stuff. For example, I remember being downvoted to heck on one forum for daring to say that during a war civilian deaths can be a much bigger tragedy than death of soldiers. As long as we stay civilized, we will see different opinions as richness and something to be appreciated and desired even. In that kind of environment, we can handle a few people who are often somewhat blunt with their words. And as we learn the online persona of the people here, we start to give them some leeway: "Oh, that's just Fleer, he likes everything except WUP", "Oh, that's just jngnz, he's permanently grumpy", "Oh, that's just PavlovsCat, he is our resident consultant" etc. (Of course, being rude to other members is where I draw the line, unless it's a case of mutual consent. Sorry if I was.)

I just bought the Design bundle for 170 € from someone on KnobCloud. I have a suspicion that when new major versions arrive I won't be on the list of people who get an upgrade offer. They say this about the upgrade pricing for the ZAP bundle: I have asked Zynaptiq for clarification about this, let's see what they say.

I don't mean to sound dismissive or elitist, but from purely watching the videos this seems to take all the fun out of composing music. Like a step closer to having an AI compose the music for you.

Simply because you wouldn't be seen on the front page, or was there some other reason? My understanding is that Bandcamp isn't intended to be a platform that does your promotion for you but instead helps you showcase and distribute your music. In that light front page visibility seems trivial, to be honest.

The article on the Verge is short, so I have quoted it here in its entirety for your convenience: I have to admit that -- excluding some single purchases here and there -- I have never used Bandcamp that much. But now that there is some uncertainty about its future, I somehow feel more inclined to see what it might have to offer.

What kind of upgrade policy Zynaptiq has? Some of these plugins are pretty old, and while they are no doubt still useful I'm concerned that if I buy one now they will release a new major version and charge a ridiculous amount for the upgrade.

Also, if I have understood correctly, the Musio instruments are based on the Cinesamples instruments, they are not exactly the same. Musio instruments have (currently) only one mic position and at least in some cases less articulations. The Musio player is supposed to be easier to use then Kontakt, but offers less control and options. I wonder what I was doing in May because I have no recollection of the lifetime deal. I would've probably jumped on that.

Can someone in the EU who purchased this confirm that there is no VAT added to the price? According to Cinesamples there is no VAT charged for Musio because it's a SaaS product, but I have my doubts.

I may have a different issue, but I haven't received ANY marketing email from Plugin Alliance for over a year, voucher emails included. I have contacted their support several times and they have no idea why the emails don't arrive. I have tried to re-subscribe to their newsletter, but I never get any confirmation email either. I suspect it has something to do with my Gmail address and their mail server settings. At some point they acknowledged the problem and said they were investigating it, but after that the messages have been more in the spirit of "you're the problem, stop bothering us". But yeah, no vouchers for me, either. I haven't asked if I'm even eligible at this point, since no vouchers = no purchases.

Beat Magazine sure likes to encourage people to get a new subscription each year instead of renewing their current one.

The code is still valid so I went ahead and bought three expansions. 50% off is not a particularly good discount in general, but the expansion packs are $50 everywhere elsewhere so I thought this was a good deal. I think 50% off is as good as it gets on Tracktion Marketplace. I almost didn't buy anything because their website kept kicking me out and throwing errors about invalid remote address, whatever that means. I can't remember the last time I struggled this much to give someone money.
