  1. Its just the way it is today, unfortunately. I’ve had my Disney, EA and other accounts hacked, and it was no fun getting them back. So now i embrace the F2A checks. If it stops crooks using my accounts then i’m all for it. I use the MS system like @Rain and after a year of changing / securing passwords etc i’m glad i have it and yet i still see 16 year old morons trying their best to get into certain accounts of mine and from all over the world. Kenny, YMMV, but i’m happy having it. J
  2. For those of us with a 1st or 2nd gen Scarlett unit here is the solution : https://support.focusrite.com/hc/en-gb/articles/207546775-Does-the-Scarlett-range-have-loopback J
  3. Sign out via the help menu then close the app. make sure no browsers are open (Edge, Firefox etc) then re-open Sonar and sign in via the Help Menu. That should work. J
  4. Thats Sonar, not CbB ! The OP should use Cakewalk Product Centre it can handle off line authorisation. Yes i know, you have to be on-line to install it, but thats no biggie. J
  5. I tried to reply to you suggesting a registry clean up manually or with an app but my reply got the pink "needs to be approved" Good Luck, J
  6. Steinberg products, Fruity Loops (along with Magix) ………….. and no. They’re not better. They just take less long to get out of the registry 😜 J
  7. So do i. But what i said was a warning that the Magix driver will get installed, you like it or not. Took me 30mn to get rid of mentions of it in the Registry. J
  8. I updated my laptop to W11 - turned on TMP and Secure Boot in the Bios, and converted the HDD to gpt. The i5 processor failed the test though. Personally, I found the Rufus method long winded and not easy to follow. So I used this method : Insert a DWORD value in the registry. AllowUpgradesWithUnsupportedTPMOrCPU And it worked. You can Google it at arstechnica.com. Of course, back up your registry first, and if you do take this route, its at your risk. What worked for me may not work for you. J
  9. No I doubt it very much with these sort of deals ! Edited : this is a great deal ....... but it will install the nefarious Magix Low Latency Asio driver, beware. J
  10. Have you tried using the Advanced option of the installer or do you simply let it do its thing ? You don’t actually say. Personally I always choose Advanced so I can check where things go. And it works. J
  11. Grossly too expensive for me. And to be honest i don’t really need it. J
  12. I would have done it but the Miroslav Philharmonik 2 is the CE version……. The rest i don:t care about. J
  13. My 2nd gen 18i20 shows the same. But its not an issue for me. I ignore it. For me its more important what shows up when i select the input for each track : when i select the input for a track, the drop down selection allows me to choose my unit then expanding that unit entry further i can select Input 1 L, Input 2 R as mono tracks as well as Input 1+2 for a stereo track. Same for inputs 3&4 etc etc. Thats is where you choose your input. If i choose input 1L, for example, then that physical input will be recorded on that particular track when its armed. Nothing else. As long as you don’t arm any other tracks you’ll have no problems. I don’t need to rename the inputs, for me its clear what they are. YMMV J
  14. You’ve had CbB free for the last, what 6 years and now you have to pay for Sonar …… ok so you pay every year, but the updates (so far ) are monthly. What other DAW does that ? J
  15. Yes i did and had the same issue as you. i also contacted Support and they told me to delete my browser’s cookies relative to Bandlab. I did that (Firefox in my case) then went on the Bandlab site, signed in and accepted all cookies (previously i had rejected them). On checkout the magic 71$ appeared so all was now well. J
  16. I ha I had this same issue. I was told by Bandlab support to delete the cookie cache for their site from my browser (Firefox). Then go to the Bandlab website and accept all their cookies, and login again. When i clicked on the offer and got to the payment page it showed the correct price. Try it, it could work for you. I know its worked for others. J
  17. No, not necessarily. He gets notices to take down certain videos, but AFAIA thats all. How can you make a scientific analysis from an (for ex) iPhone video ? Or an mp3 ? But hey, this is the internet 😇 anything (more or less ) goes. J
  18. Really ? Misleading the public ? OK, but my pitchfork and torch have been sharpened and lit long ago.
  19. Yes he plays ok. But pretending to be a pro when you’re analysing videos/sound from iPhones and such……….. not good practice. J
  20. Anyone who can emerge from Piccadilly Circus tube station in rain, shirtless, with guitar and miming to a mediocre rock track is, imho an prat. I feel he’s over sensationalising things on his website to either get his name/band known. Uses stem separating software on phone videos his « supporters » send him and claims his studies are exact. I watch him and laugh. He was also on X Factor, topless. I laughed also. (You may have guessed i’m’not his biggest fan) 😜😜😜 J
  21. And under the tape .......... Gibson. A mate of mine bought a LP Gary Moore 1959 Replica, Chibson off the internet, and to get it through the customs inspection the sellers had simply used a felt pen marker to cover the word Gibson on the headstock. Which was dead easy to remove without damaging the finish. It plays well and the electrics are noiseless, better that some real Gibs ! YMMV on this though. J
  22. Have tried this with EZ Drummer 3, when the transport is working and when its not. Cannot reproduce. J
