@E-Woof Music, Interesting video. The eight one knob effects are often overlooked. Thanks for featuring one of them.

@e2studio, I sincerely hope your videos are receiving many views. You are very prolific! Spero sinceramente che i tuoi video ricevano molte visualizzazioni. Sei molto prolifico! -
@abacab, excuse me for not understanding the conversation was only limited to Cakewalk. @Starise's comment, led me to assume the conversation reached beyond a single DAW. My mistake.

Of course there are other plugin specifications beside VST. AVID has AAX, Apple has AU and Linux has LSP. To my knowledge LSP is the only plugin specification that is truly open source. More information is available here: https://lsp-plug.in/

Do your headphones use a 1/8" connector or USB connector to connect to the laptop? I have a Dell laptop that shipped with Vista, was upgraded to Windows 7 and is currently running Windows 10 build 2004. I have been able to listen through Logictech H340 USB headphones with all three operating systems. Some Dell laptops have one 1/8" connector that performs multiple tasks including audio out for headphones, line-in or mic-in for incoming audio. With laptops having onboard speakers and microphones the need for three 1/8" connectors has been reduced. Laptop manufacturers have responded by combining the connectors to reduce cost. If you're using the 1/8" connector go to the audio section of Windows Control Center and review the recording and playback settings with the headphones connected. If you're using USB headphones make sure the Windows speaker icon is on the taskbar next to the time. When the headphones are plugged in, single click on the speaker icon. You should be able to select for audio to go to the laptop onboard speakers or headphones.

@msmcleod, Yes Mark I was thinking audio outputs when I wrote that question / suggestion. I've seen your video on Kontakt. It is also a keeper. I did not realize the steps to set up multiple audio outputs would vary between VSTis but that makes perfect sense once you point it out. The Cakewalk by BandLab Reference Guide is a valuable resource but it doesn't address the subject of multiple VSTi audio outputs at all as far as I can determine. There are a goodly number of multiple audio output VSTis available so perhaps the subject needs some attention. If nothing else a catch all that states check with the VSTi user manual to determine how to set up CbB to utilize multiple audio outputs.

[CLOSED] Cakewalk 2020.07 Early Access
Jim Fogle replied to Morten Saether's topic in Early Access Program
Greetings Nelson and welcome to the forum. You've made some interesting suggestions. However many forum users won't see your suggestions or have an opportunity to comment on them. May I suggest you post your suggestions in the Feedback Loop forum section so all forum members will have an opportunity to review the suggestions? The Feedback Loop is here: https://discuss.cakewalk.com/index.php?/forum/8-feedback-loop/ -
@msmcleod @Morten Saether, Is there any chance the two of you can get the meat of this thread into the Cakewalk by BandLab Reference Guide? I searched the guide and can not find any details about how to set up the outputs of a multi-channel VSTi in CbB. The topic seems to be raised fairly often. Plus, it will be easier for me to print the instructions and have them on hand when I'm offline.

Feature request : NI Komplete Kontrol
Jim Fogle replied to Richard Sheppard's topic in Feedback Loop
@Vernon Barnes, you are correct. All of us are guessing what @Richard Sheppard requested in his initial post. Hopefully Richard will update this thread and clarify. -
Others mentioned 2020 Band-in-a-Box is available as a 64 bit program and a plugin is available for use inside a DAW. More features a 2018 user might find significant are: multi-riffs available inside Band-in-a-Box, a new version of the Elastique Pro time and pitch stretching software and user select able one to four voice automatic audio harmonies are available and based on passing tones,

Make the click track play in time with YOU! (AudioSnap)
Jim Fogle replied to Creative Sauce's topic in Tutorials
@steve@baselines.com, Thank you for taking time to document and present your method. I don't think I would ever have thought of dragging the tempo graph line up and down to adjust the tempo at a specific point. Brilliant! I can't wait to try this out. There normally are more than one way to perform a certain task and what works for one may not work for another. I'll have some fun learning which method sticks with me better. -
Mastering with Stock Plugins Only in Cakewalk by Bandlab
Jim Fogle replied to Creative Sauce's topic in Tutorials
Mike, I watch each of your Cakewalk by BandLab videos and have even watched a few of your Studio One videos (just for grins!) and find them enjoyable, This is the first video I've seen that uses an AUX track. Now I understand at least one way AUX track can be used. As always, awesome video!- 5 replies

I would love to be able to disable the smart tool and be able to select the default tool from the tool module. I think it's better when you're first starting with CbB and audio production to select the in use tool. By limiting the in use tool to one tool at a time a new users can pay more attention to which tool they are using and better learn the tasks each tool performs.

@steve@baselines.com I read and reread what your saying but I'm not familiar enough with the CbB interface, tempo maps or editing tempo maps to understand or visualize the steps to perform what your saying. Videos or animated GIFs are most helpful to me. By the way, I enjoy and admire your music. You have a nice touch. -

Thank you for telling me @paulo. I was not aware the information was originally posted in Deals. Somehow I missed @TracingArcs July 01, 2020 post and I apologize for the oversight. For those that missed the original post, here it is: https://discuss.cakewalk.com/index.php?/topic/16923-bandlab-introducing-albums/&tab=comments#comment-142391 -

Interesting song. Well produced, the pedal steel is used sparingly but is a really nice touch. I hope I can develop a touch as delicate as yours one day. Side note, I was stationed down the road from Amarillo at Reese Air Force Base near Lubbock. Truthfully, don't miss the place a bit. There's a reason Mac Davis felt like writing "(Lubbock) Texas In My Rear View Mirror". ?

Did you know BandLab offers a free platform to sell your music? You can publish your album or EP for free and receive 100 percent of all income made on the sale of YOUR music? Sell Your Music & Receive 100% Of The Sale I wasn't sure if the Coffee House or Deals was the best section to post this so moderators feel free to move this post.

That's great. I'm glad to see BandLab has changed their shipping criteria.

Love this video. I've watched it multiple times and, with practice, I'm finally starting to get the hang of it. The bugaboo is the drastic slowdowns at the end of a song, I haven't quite figured that out yet. -

Great video to watch. I'd heard of this technique but never observed it in practice.
