  1. So who has it? I'm trying to keep this back on topic sort of.
  2. They are no longer in the DAW development business. I forget what they are doing now.
  3. I'm into bland GUIs. I think it's easier when they are similar. Melda is like the Reaper of plugins. They are complexed.
  4. The beauty of Hornet is there is no installer. Unfortunately every DAW is turning into Garage Band
  5. I was surprised someone brought it up. I didn't care for it either.
  6. Izotope offers just don't tempt me. I had the Music Production Suite but their loyalty offers are confusing or they aren't in my world of loyalty. Reason Studios - crank out REs but don't really improve the DAW to match others Latest PA sale - meh is an understatment It seems the good days are gone when companies get taken over or product line sold to a bigger company. Magix is another one after taking over Vegas, Soundforge, and Acid. They basically change the paint. I think they got rid of the original crew. Steinberg I guess got better. No more dongle and 3 authorizations. Now that there will be a new Sonar there's is as much panic as there is joy. The first fear is the sub model.
  7. So did anyone upgrade that bombastic orchestra to the new version yet? I think the upgrade to the super duper version is about $50.
  8. It's suppose to be that way. It's like those $99 guitar packages that came with a guitar, bag, and amp - and labeled made by Fender. It's an amateur package. I remember first getting into Gigastudio 2. You basically got the app and some watered down demos. I couldn't afford any of those libraries and my first one was Kirk Hunter's Diamond and GOS Lite. I was thrilled when Kontakt 2 came out and bundled with a whole orchestra. They are basically for amateurs.
  9. I see the Refill bundle is still for sale. He also has some libraries for FL's Direct Wave.
  10. Then some of those updates are only for a new released controller/
  11. But people need shiny and new despite all of the great stuff cranked out with Reason 4.
  12. I went back to collecting DAWs again because of this. I got Studio and Cubase 13 for $6 a month even though I could have just bought these. It's really no different than collecting plugins.
  13. https://www.reasonstudios.com/shop/browse/?developer=Blamsoft, Inc. I was supposedly done with REs but the Blamsoft synths are $9
  14. Do they even sound out emails anymore about their sales? I never get them.
  15. With the Sweetwater card you can do it for $3 a month.
  16. It's rare for Abelton to do that either.
  17. You just had to click a little more. My post was really intended for someone to find a better deal (certain guy named Larry) to make me think about this.
  18. https://www.presonus.com/en-US/start They seemed to be quite until I checked the site. I haven't checked vendors.
  19. Welcome to VI-Control Lite. We seem to have a deficiency of DAW drama. I didn't really help with this post. This is the only forum where we have to bring in Vi-Control drama.
  20. That's what happens when stuffed shirts eho only can read spreadsheets and also waste money on research. Both are clueless about the DAW world.
  21. Kinda bummed their Plus versions of SYNCHRON-ized Special Editions are cross grade prices. Otherwise they are still out of my budget.
  22. Kontakt Player is more proprietary than Kontakt. So many of us treat Kontakt as rompler than a true sampler. I get it tho'. Gontakt rules as far as file management. You can move your libraries all over the place without issues. VSL software and support is top notch. My beef is single authorization.
  23. TT is kinda a money pit when you start buying every genre or sub genre. It's their players that make them so attractive. If you Komplete, IK TS Max, there has to be something in there to suffice. The lowest price I've seen on EZD upgrade is usually $79.
