  1. I have a number of things I can Transfer (Syntronik, TS2MAX, MixBox, Syntronik Deluxe, and maybe TS3.5 MAX), but since SSSR was purchased as part of a large bundle, evidently I am not eligible. Thanks for the suggestion. I give up. Why? ? Seriously, though, has anyone figured out why consumers who have MixBox need Mixbox CS? Does it add anything that the updated Mixbox doesn't have. Maybe IK accountants use it for a tax advantage?
  2. IIRC, I have 3 MixBoxes: one as a separate purchase, one that came with TS MAX 2, and a third that came with TS MAX 3.5. I also have several licenses for T-RackS, and at least one for SSSR. Evidently, I don't qualify because I don't have TR-500-SSSR-DD . I assume that's SSSR purchased individually at full price as a single product. As I have said before, I do not understand IK Multimedia's modus operandi. Yeah--I bought it as a single product before I knew a whole lot about how IK does business. To me it does seem silly that if someone purchased SSSR as a single, they qualify, but not someone who purchased MixBox. Situation Normal . . . ? Well, according to the Custom Shop, I have SSSR as a T-RackS Reverb. As a Collection, I also have the T-RackS 5 Max Upgrade. Maybe if I Restore My Purchases . . . . ? Nope. Its $50.00 no matter what. Forgot to mention: Product Manager was kind enough to tell me MixBox CS was added to my account. What's that other saying? Don't look at a gift too closely? ? Found my original invoice for MixBox. Because I owned Syntronik, I qualified for the Crossgrade edition (MX-BOX-DDC-IN). Maybe that invalidates eligibility? Or maybe it was invalidated because I got SSSR as part of the T-RackS 5 MAX Upgrade as part of the TS 3.5 Update? I think somewhere the IK rules says Crossgrades and Upgrades don't count for things like this. My headache from a couple of weeks ago is back with a vengeance.
  3. This is scary--"could improve text readability!!" Syntronik is is much more readable (text and images) than Syntronik 2 on my PC. Evidently the folks at IK have a way of optimizing UIs so that they look better for some users and look worse for others. Oh, well. As the saying goes, "You can't fight City Hall."
  4. Just think of it as a persistent reminder to upgrade to TS MAX 4 when it comes out. ?
  5. MP2 presets work under ST3. To me that says its a ST3 based library. No?
  6. Thanks for the additions. From my own tests, I understood both of these points. When I wrote this: I didn't mean just parameter settings, but the state in which it was saved, including the UI. It is a royal pain to not have the all of the previous state information staring me in the face when I open up the project and to have to go looking for it each and every time I open the project for every instance of the plug-in. It is a serious workflow killer. Possibly I did misunderstand something, though. I thought you were saying (or implying by the context of the Topic) that this issue was new with the Syntronik 2.0.4 update. If you were saying/implying that, I am still not sure that is true based on my preliminary investigations. Sorry for the hastiness of this reply; I spent a bit of time exploring the bug and don't have the time at the moment to elaborate with more details on how it is a workflow killer. Besides which, I don't have time to reinstall Syntronik 2 plus I have a few other things to test in a search for some satisfactory workarounds.
  7. Question 1: Was this issue introduced with Syntronik 2 version 2.0.4? I reinstalled 2.0.3 and have the same issue? Question 2: Do any versions of Syntronik 2 not have this issue? I reinstalled 2.0.2 and it has the same issue. So far as I can tell if this is indeed a bug (a) the issue predates 2.0.2, (b) it is an issue with something else (other then SYN2), (c) Syntronik 2 might need to be uninstalled first, (d) other. On my other audio PC, some of my IK products developed an issue that had to solved by uninstalling all my IK products and then reinstalling the one at a time. Update: With Syntronik 2 removed from my PC and ST4.2.1 substituted for Syntronik 2 in VM and in CbB, I get the same issue. After minimizing the plug-in window and then restoring it, the details in the right-hand panel are displayed. After closing the plug-in window and then reopening it, the details in the right-hand panel are missing.
  8. Interesting. Voltage Modular's Plug-in Host modules sometimes have issues on my PC with some plug-ins, after closing VM's Editor, switching to a another Plug-in Host, etc. I don't get the problem. Possibly VM is not closing the plug-in's UI, but virtually minimizing and then restoring it. So far I just looked at VM Standalone. I will try SYN2 within VM within CbB. WOW--major issue for IK!!! When the VM Patch I used was loaded into CbB, the patches were appropriately there, but the Editor showed no details on the right side of the SYN2 UI. Switching between two plug-in host modules (both SYN2) as well as closing the VM Editors do not show the details. Just tried a few more VM patches that contain SYN2 within CbB and this is a showstopper for me. CbB does its job restoring the VM settings which include SYN2, but SYN2 refuses to show info in the right hand panel. Thanks for mention this issue. After a few more attempts I will be reverting to SYN2 2.0.3. Otherwise it would require individually reloading the SYN2 patch in each instance. When I load a CbB Project, I like all my settings to be as I saved them. In addition to the "Fixed . . . " comments, they need to add to "Broke . . . ." comments. I hope they don't dillydally fixing this. PS: I hope no one tries to claim this bug was fixed before 2.0.4 was released. Seriously. Claims that things were fixed when they weren't has happened before.
  9. Is this issue with Cakewalk or other hosts, too?
  10. Killjoy! ? Seriously, though I like the beat.
  11. https://www.facebook.com/The-Stolen-Minks-23055729816/videos/boys-on-the-floor/17190215930/ Just Another Punk Band from Halifax: The Stolen Minks - Boys on the Floor
  12. Connection: Both bands are from the late '60s: April Wine is a Canadian rock band formed in 1969 and based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The Hampton Grease Band was an American rock band, beginning as a blues rock group in the late 1960s in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. TRIVIA: The band was the lead-off band for Frank Zappa/Mothers last appearance at the Fillmore East on June 6, 1971. It was at this concert that Zappa and the Mothers recorded part of the Live at the Fillmore East album. Later that evening they were joined by John Lennon and Yoko Ono, also available in recorded versions.
  13. Connection not obvious? Songs that had what I thought were female singers when I first heard them way back when . OK, OK. Lets make it easier: songs from the golden age of pop that featured novelty falsetto. OK, then, how about unbelievable use of falsetto.
  14. Thanks for the heads up about the new set of fixes. I am not sure if I should wait for them to fix all of the issues with Syntronik 2. BTW, I think this newest round of fixes support some of the speculation from SYN2GB:
  15. I defer to scook's excellent advice.
  16. See advice below about learning the plug-in.

  19. Its not the size of your sample collection, its how you use it. ? Seriously, though, I enjoyed the video. Thanks for posting the link. I find his videos usually provide a number of interesting tips based on how he does production and sound design even if I am not interested in the specific product he is demoing.
  20. JMO: For those of you with the KV331 Everything Bundle, since you have been getting all new releases for no extra charge (unlike others who have to pay for them), if you really feel like you are missing out on the Anniversary Coupons, maybe you could sell your Everything Bundles and get on the Pay-As-You-Go plan? ?
  21. I am not familiar with this genre, but to me it sounds like Happy Music! It also sounds like you had fun making it.
  22. This thread is over 2 years old. JMO: Asking about creating an INS file in 2022 deserves a new topic.
  23. This reply was written several hours ago, but not posted because to me it seemed to be quite off topic from the original thread by bringing up issues related to hardware that were far removed from what I thought the original thread was about. However, I think (not 100% sure) that the meat and potatoes of the 2022 discussion is indeed related to issues raised in the unposted draft. For that reason, I resurrected the post. This sounds a little like what I faced in the MIDI Dark Ages (before I got a parallel port MIDI interface/router) trying to daisy chain a keyboard synth [controller+synth] --> a drum machine --> a software sequencer --> the same MIDI gear at the beginning of the chain. I call that a recipe for MIDI disaster. That's why MIDI routers were created!!! But I think I get what you were originally trying to say. Fortunately for me, the hardware sequencer/sound module combo I used during the last decade [Proteus 2500] had a really nice flexible architecture which had an option to merge incoming MIDI data with the outgoing sequencer data out of Port A, Port B, or Both) among other features. Very handy. For example, Using Port B [output] MIDI clock and up to 16 tracks could be sent out to some gear that used the clock [B is for Beatz], while up to 16 other tracks that didn't need the MIDI clock could be sent to sound modules via Port A [A is for "All Else]. For real-time performances, with the hardware sequencer's "in-the-box" MIDI settings I didn't need a computer, a DAW, and an 8 x 8 interface/router.
