Sorry, Paterno is the only one I have. I'll agree that there are a lot of good sounds in that one. Also, regarding the TC - it was their "Smorgasbord" series, most of which are upgraded versions of Behringer pedals (same parent company now) which go for $50-60 normally. Still, the Afterglow Chorus sounded pretty good in the YT reviews I saw, as well as the Thunderstorm Flanger.

It used to be that the free Sennheiser DrumMic'A library and Embertone Arcana qualified, but I am not sure if they still do.

Somehow I managed to stay on plan. 6 Chromaphone libraries for $50 3 EZ Key libraries for ~$8 each Dream Machines expansion. 4 Ugritone MIDI packs (Rock, Grunge, NWOBHM, and Heartland) I was considering jumping on the TC Electronic 2 pedals for $75 deal, but missed it.

I don't know if people here are generally aware of this, but it costs developers a lot of money to make their libraries compatible with the Kontakt Player. If you are expecting that small developers are going to make instruments for Kontakt Player that won't cost you anything, you will be disappointed. There is no rational reason anyone should expect free Kontakt libraries to come with the Kontakt Player. That makes any requested "RFK" tag or some such nonsense pretty much redundant.

Unfortunately people do that all the time.

I notice they have a Heartland Rock MIDI pack, which looks to be 80% John Cougar/Mellencamp and 20% Bruce Springsteen, as well as a Rock pack which looks more like classic rock.

Yeah but that's all the way back on the next page! On a more serious note, I don't think that I'm the only one who has allowed a few vendors they aren't overly familiar with to fall through the cracks and I just wanted to highlight that a potentially useful freebie.

Rapture Pro unfortunately got off to a rocky start. Maybe not quite as bad as Massive X, but it did come out with a lot of issues that generated some ill will. Fortunately they fixed a lot of the issues, but the interface is still less productive than the OG Rapture. At its heart, though, it's still a pretty decent synth capable of a wide variety of sounds.

So far I have kept to plan. AAS let me have the Chromaphone packs I didn't have for $50. That was 6 packs for less than 3 would have cost me at half off. Also got three EZ Keys MIDI packs for $24.

You forgot to mention that they put together custom bundles based on what you don't have already. They put together a "Complete Your Collection" package for everything I didn't have, a few 6 packs for $49.50 and a few 3-packs for $27.50. Very nice.

Just wondering what everyone's BF strategy is. Are you looking for any savings on big ticket items or just going to pick up a few small things? For my part, I am probably going to go light this year. I haven't had my eye on anything in particular. I will probably pick up one of the discounted AAS packs, and potentially whichever EZKeys stuff Toontrack throws in the basement this year.
