These guys are clearly web-site challenged. The GEARSPACE35 code is now working. But….I had a question about licensing and when I looked at a FAQ about licensing, there was NO content…after which they asked whether the article was helpful.?

Can’t figure out where this code gets entered before sale finalized.

Any other takes on Sparkverb out there?

Thanks for the advice guys on Friedman amps. Tipping point for me was listening to Mick from the Pedal Show play a Strat through a real BE-100 on an Anderton’s vid. Some absolutely great tones.

I’m out with them…for the same reason that I don’t WUP. I have no desire to provide these companies with a lifetime annuity. If I can’t make great music with the versions of these plugins I have now, the problem is with me.

What happens after a year? If the MPS4 updates to 5 during that period, does it go back to 4 after the year elapses and you don’t re-up?

I believe their well reviewed VLA-3A is also on sale for $29 although, oddly enough, not listed in that ad.

On my download the installer came within a sub folder of the BFD Drums folder, and the sub-folder contains the version number. Also when you first open BFD, the version will show on the flash screen, albeit in pretty small print.

To me S-Gear “feels” the most like a real guitar amplifier, dynamics-wise and sound-wise, for clean to low/medium gain stuff. For high gain stuff, there are better choices.

Yeah, unfortunately a bit of a mixed bag for Gibson. You’re correct that they’ve become a bit of a graveyard for a number of companies they’ve purchased. On the bright side, the quality of workmanship in their guitars has definitely shot up in the past few years

Love Lounge Lizard and this sound set sounds pretty interesting. But I’ve got so many sources for good synthy sounds these days, it’s unlikely that I’ll even think of Lounge Lizard when I’m looking for one of those sounds in 6 months. Now when it comes to EPs….a different kettle of fish. It will remain one of my faves in that regard.

I’ve got a deal/technical question here. Does the PA Transient Designer Plus have exactly the same functions and features as the PA Attack Plus, Moverb Plus and Deverb Plus combined?

Yeah, I continue to find their upgrade pricing to RX8 Advanced completely inexplicable.

If you have BFD Eco, I’d still take a flyer on BFD3 with the understanding that you might not get it working properly for a year. I like the sounds that much. BTW, while InMusic does not support the now orphaned BFD Eco…installing their program does not wipe BFD Eco off your system…at least for now. One of my major peeves is with software companies that with “updates” wipe off other separately licensed programs ( are you listening Celemony?).

Caveat Emptor! The good, as usual, is in the sounds…in my view the best in the business. The bad, as usual, is that InMusic has taken an imperfect and somewhat wonky app and turned it into an operational disaster. Their second “update” broke my BFD setup totally and luckily I was able to roll back to the last Fxpansion version. Drew is tremendous, but otherwise support is pretty useless. And, at least so far, they’ve made the app non-operational if offline. ?
