  1. I believe their well reviewed VLA-3A is also on sale for $29 although, oddly enough, not listed in that ad.
  2. On my download the installer came within a sub folder of the BFD Drums folder, and the sub-folder contains the version number. Also when you first open BFD, the version will show on the flash screen, albeit in pretty small print.
  3. To me S-Gear “feels” the most like a real guitar amplifier, dynamics-wise and sound-wise, for clean to low/medium gain stuff. For high gain stuff, there are better choices.
  4. Yeah, unfortunately a bit of a mixed bag for Gibson. You’re correct that they’ve become a bit of a graveyard for a number of companies they’ve purchased. On the bright side, the quality of workmanship in their guitars has definitely shot up in the past few years
  5. Love Lounge Lizard and this sound set sounds pretty interesting. But I’ve got so many sources for good synthy sounds these days, it’s unlikely that I’ll even think of Lounge Lizard when I’m looking for one of those sounds in 6 months. Now when it comes to EPs….a different kettle of fish. It will remain one of my faves in that regard.
  6. I’ve got a deal/technical question here. Does the PA Transient Designer Plus have exactly the same functions and features as the PA Attack Plus, Moverb Plus and Deverb Plus combined?
  7. Not seeing a lot of great applications for this 20 off. Some good Lindell deals, but I’ve got pretty much all their stuff. Thinking about grabbing the UA Instant Delay for a 9er.
  8. Yeah, I continue to find their upgrade pricing to RX8 Advanced completely inexplicable.
  9. If you have BFD Eco, I’d still take a flyer on BFD3 with the understanding that you might not get it working properly for a year. I like the sounds that much. BTW, while InMusic does not support the now orphaned BFD Eco…installing their program does not wipe BFD Eco off your system…at least for now. One of my major peeves is with software companies that with “updates” wipe off other separately licensed programs ( are you listening Celemony?).
  10. Ahh….there’s a 3.5? Dareist I try? I downloaded the previous version on W10…online…and still had disastrous problems.
  11. Caveat Emptor! The good, as usual, is in the sounds…in my view the best in the business. The bad, as usual, is that InMusic has taken an imperfect and somewhat wonky app and turned it into an operational disaster. Their second “update” broke my BFD setup totally and luckily I was able to roll back to the last Fxpansion version. Drew is tremendous, but otherwise support is pretty useless. And, at least so far, they’ve made the app non-operational if offline. ?
  12. My vouchers have been going to spam filter recently, even though offers have been coming through normally?
  13. I got the jam points banner, but don’t see them in my account either. Is it possible, they’re only “special purpose” jam points that can only be used for the new Sampletron, and only appear in your cart when buying that product? That would certainly be the height of gimmickry. In any event, not a great value for me given my existent tron libraries.
  14. $70, if you have 30 pre-existing jam points to use:)
  15. Me too….albeit a bit reluctantly.
  16. Lol. If playing is the criteria, all of my sounds would be considered lo fi. ?
  17. Love Tron songs. But because most of their charm comes from their “lo fi” nature?, I’ll stick with my original S3 imported sounds.
  18. I’m also absolutely done WUPin. Was able to get my favorites WUPed up to the level where the GUIs were actually large enough to read (by completing a few collections on sale)….and that’s IT!!!
  19. Yeah, I do find very annoying that you can only have one version of Melodyne on any one machine. I was really ticked when 5 came out, since they were giving away the “improvements” to Essential users, but charging $150 to Studio owners ,their best customers, for the same improvements! Then , to rub salt in my wounds I could not use new features from an Essential installation without deauthorizing my Studio 4!!
  20. I’ve always used the non-ilock authorization on two machines. It’s worked pretty well with one big exception. Whenever the BIOS on my computers is updated, the authorizations are lost. You then have to go on their site and deauthorize the activations…then reboot and reauthorize through the standalone. I find their support to be pretty good actually.
  21. Melodyne Studio is great. OTOH I don’t think 4-5 was a huge update.
