It’s definitely not in my wheelhouse and I might not use it a lot. But the possibilities are kind of intriguing to me for measured use of it, such as for certain musical peaks in a production.
There were two great quality freebies available a few years back from an independent developer, who did a Vox Continental and a Farfisa. My recollection is that both designs were bought out from him by Arturia.
Bit of a side issue: Acustica stuff leaves tons of zip files in a sub-folder called “stage area” in my Windows user/app data/roaming folder. Can these be safely deleted?
There was a 64 bit update to ECO released some time ago. If you’re interested in using it, you may want to see if it’s still available for download in your old FXpansion account.
Had a similarly bad experience with 1. Absolutely terrible quality. It’s the only “functioning” software I ever asked for my money back on. They offered me a credit, which expired because I was so disillusioned with the original product.
Heaven forbid Izotope should ever offer any new feature free to its loyal (already bought) customers or offer an upgrade and/or crossgrade to RX Advanced for a reasonable price. Unless I see a big surprise, this is the year I finally get off the Izotope upgrade train. And no interest in their subscription plan. Sad, because they do make good products.
