Interesting, but if you were to first sell an original license purchased before this Group Buy, before selecting the same product as a freebie in this Group Buy…….I guess it might depend on how “have registered” is interpreted. BTW, going this convoluted route is not my preference, but I’ll otherwise run out of practical options.

I wish Peter could chime in on this. Unless I can do this, a bunch of my freebie “choices” will be wasted.

I thought I understood the first paragraph of this…..until I read the second paragraph. Doesn’t it completely eviscerate the first paragraph? Maybe it’s easier to ask this question in a different way: If I have an IK product that was registered years before this Group Buy, (let’s call it product X), and that product has a red transfer button available on my User page, can I sell that product without worrying that I will also lose the use of products Y and Z, because products Y and Z were freebies I received as part of an earlier Group Buy in which product X was the qualifying product?

Peter, is there an easy way for us to figure out what we don’t already have in Amplitube? I tried looking at the Custom Shop function for that, but it doesn’t look like it’s necessarily catching everything. Also, are you saying eg. if 3 years ago I purchased a license for A, which allowed me to get a free or reduced price for B and C, I cannot now sell my license to A without losing B and C? Not sure how I could even retrace that history, and if that’s the case, I probably will have five to ten unused pics when this is all over. I would gladly use 2 or 3 freebies alone for the mems mic that goes with ARC.

Not to be dense, but can’t the mod just delete the offending post and re-open the thread now? Doesn’t the mod have the ability to do that? It’s pretty obvious at this point that the initial move may have been somewhat of an overreach, albeit an unintentional one.

Geez, I never even saw the offending comment and now the entire thread is gone ? That really seems a bit extreme. Why can’t they just delete the offending comments or even lock out the offending poster. This sets a bad precedent for giving any errant poster the ability to shut down any thread at will.

Thanks to Peter for expanding freebies available! I’m still gonna have a hard time filling out my freebie dance card though, with all the stuff I already own. Any chance for something like ARC software plus MEMS microphone, using up two freebies (assuming you have bought in at sufficient level)? I know there has been a reluctance to provide any hardware as a freebie, but these two really are pretty tied together.

Ditto for the LPB-1!! Loved that thing when I first got it:) It’s long gone now, but the reissue isn’t too bad.

It’s definitely not in my wheelhouse and I might not use it a lot. But the possibilities are kind of intriguing to me for measured use of it, such as for certain musical peaks in a production.
