Vocal up, drums down (and I'd add a little bit more "room" to them). Lots of good advice above. I'd say you've nailed that. t

Well you want it! I bought SVX way back when it was a separate entity. For some reason it quit working in X2 for me, but by then it was included in Amp3. I grabbed SVX-2 as one of my freebies. I'm not a keyboardist and IF this thing "runs the table" I'll pick up D-Bag. But I'm more into vintage Marshall than I am metal; but what do I know? t

Well done Colin! When I have a bit more time I'll get back for the full suite, as alas, the lunch bell chimes... t

Is Cakewalk the best free DAW on the market
DeeringAmps replied to dappa1's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Don't be so modest. The correct answer is YES! Just take a well deserved bow as the audience stands to applaud... t ? -
@Jacques BoileauThank you, actually I bought Sunset & Lurssen when they first came out (March 2020). At the time, I pulled this out of the "vault" and used it as a "vehicle" to test them out. @noynekkerCertainly the performances were far better (Kossoff and Rodgers are two of my favorites). the mix? I'm not going to "flatter" myself... I started doing covers as soon as I installed Cakewalk Professional 3.0 in '94? maybe it was early '95. As Ian Anderson said, I'm "Living in the Past". Thanks for the kind words. @bjornpdx Early 70's we played there all the time. I can't remember the name of the "promoter". His dad was a minister, and must have had some "pull" in local government. He would stage a Golden Gate Park type concert on a fairly regular basis. As far as I know the city never denied him a permit; thus my thinking his father had some pull. Much appreciate the review. @mark skinnerThanks so much, really means a lot ?. @Bajan BlueI really am a fan, so I sure you know how much I appreciate your kind words. @KurtSRodgers and Steve Marriott are at the top of my "Top Ten British Vocalists" list; Kossoff is one of the best. Thanks for being supportive. @GremThank You! "I would have thrown in some Ride Bell on that last chorus" I get it, I was focused on getting the toms right! @freddy j "Rogers was quite a showman" Free opened for Blind Faith in '69. I thought "Who is this cocky little b-a-s-t-a-r-d?". Free was the highlight of the night and I figured out those cocky Brits were. Thank you so much for the kind words Freddy. @hsmSunset Studios is a good one to be sure. Thanks for the listen and comments. Thank you @Makke @Jim FogleYou are much too kind, thank you. Thank you @jack c. t

A big shout of THANKS to all who took the time to listen and comment; you are all too kind! I either had to license this over at H. Fox or take it down; chose the latter. t

I've got a cover of All Right Now with Sunset Reverb all over it, mastered up in Lurssen if you want to hear it... (moved the link to the Songs Forum so you can comment over there) t @InstrEdthere's your link, should probably put it up in the Songs Forum here's the settings on the Lurssen

I've been running ARC for years (1 then 2 now 3). CPU usage is not an issue, its a light footprint. t
-
I would say yes, one bonus to buying the the package, ARC 3 and mic, is you get TrackS 5 Deluxe Free. That would get you into the GB at the $150 level. (that's what I did, $105 using whammy jammie points). But you're in a $159 with the Lurssen IIRC... so buy the mic (no GB there) and pickup ARC 3 as one of your GB freebs... Or, better yet, get the ARC 3 package and double your pleasure, double you fun. (it way better than doublemint gum!) It all gets a bit too confusing, just tell Lars what you have and your buyin level, he'll work the best deal out for ya! t Thats why @cclarry is our King!

why am I asking you?
-
Yes he did... and IIRC today as well with the NewEgg buy! I lied! it was 21 hours ago, was that yesterday? ?
-
Yes, at Amazon and NewEgg; roight?

@Nick Blanc "comprable with something like Ozone?" I would say more like Slates' FG-X plug in, which is quick and easy, and lets be honest here; we are talking about small "m" mastering. Even with Ozone its still small "m" (I mean how many Grammy nominated tunes are Mastered in Ozone?) But the question is "do you like the Lurssen Console", yeah I can get a pretty quick and easy "loud" mix. Now, could I s-can Ozone and use say my suite of Fab Filter tools to do the same thing, oh yeah! Could I master in TRackS 5; oh yeah! We're all "slutz" when it comes right down to it! ? t
-
@KurtS two times thru then? That's how I do all Nigel's stuff. He always posts the lyrics, so I read along with the playback, then rerun to watch the vid; Simples... t
-
@Nick Blanc "buy the Sunset reverb and tier up?" Get Lurssen at $159 then the rest of the dominoes will fall. When I try to check prices everything I own in TrackS5 is greyed out price wise, so double check... t

Sunset Reverb is a must. Haven’t had time to run Comprexxor thru it’s paces. You have the “Black”, “White” is a must have too. A caveat; PC 76 and CA2A/PC2A are probably on my tracks much more these days. As to EQ’s and channel emulations, I have most of them, but rarely use them. But I don’t use the channel emulation in Pro Channel either. hth t Lurseen Console is interesting too

The "Chet" Tennessean was my first electric. I blame all my bad habits on the fact that I had to "pound" the "dirt" out of the Tennessean even with an Arbiter in front of it... Of course Silverface Bandmasters aren't know for their "grit". t

Updates to Boogie and Shuffles for me... t
-
Yup!
-
The thing that always strikes me with Bat's productions is there a lot going on, but everything sits in its own space and the mix isn't "cluttered". t
-
I thought it was just me (well the van really). you got some “issues” here, check the low mids and maybe add some “air” on the master buss. Try the “gloss” in the Pro Channel eq. But you might take a closer look at all the tracks. t
-
You hit the mark. actually one of the few that has translated OK in the car. Not a lot of low mids, maybe that’s where the “issue” lies in the van?... t
