you beat me to it! I think this "fills" my dance card!

Welcome to the forum. Second mix is definitely better “tone” on the guitar. Getting a midi guitar part “right” is a challenge. Enjoyed the listen. t The first mix the guitar reminded me of a Coral Electric Sitar.

Well done on all levels! Long tradition of using music to question authority. you’ve nailed it; hence the ban. Wear it proudly! t the only way evil triumphs, is if good men and women do nothing.

First, welcome to the forum. Lots of potential here Larry. Looking forward to hearing more. As has been stated above, you’ll be amazed at what you can accomplish with a mature recording platform. t -
Enjoyed the listen Eric. Well done by all! Especially liked the “Setzer” feel of the first solo. ?‘S t

Scaler 2.4.1 update out as of Sep 8, 2021. Not a deal.
DeeringAmps replied to Steve Harder's topic in Deals
Did you notice that you can now direct where the Samples will be installed? This is the first installer that allowed that; right? I had a mklink setup for Scaler. I don't put samples on the C drive. t "We don't need no stinkin' badges!" And I don't need samples cluttering up my OS drive. keep it lean, mean & clean; just sayin'... -
Yeah, but we knew that going in. Not enough at the $200 level to cover... t

I just backed up my OS and “samples” drive. Y’all can thank me later ? t

(not a deal) AmpliTube 5.1 update available
DeeringAmps replied to Peter - IK Multimedia's topic in Deals
The update failed for me in Product Manager. Downloaded from my user area and it installed fine. Bear in mind I do have a sub folder “IKM VST” where I keep my VST2 dll’s. Speaking of that I never install IKM VST3. It was SampleTank3 that was an issue; right? What’s the status with IKM vst3’s these days in CbB? t -
?'s. We sings what we sings Keith; right? t

Penultimate song from my album and one of my most ambitious...
DeeringAmps replied to PJH's topic in Songs
Fixed! And thanks for the "heads up". Lovely, just lovely; that's all I have to say... t -
The DI on this sounds pretty damn fine Mark. Did you de es the squeaks at all? Sometimes the results are worse than the squeaks. What's the verb on this one? t oh, and well played btw

Doh! I was clicking on the Amp 5 that came with the Z-Tone DI, I cannot "transfer'" the Amp 5, only the Z-Tone. mybad... t
-
Where? In the User Area, Custom Shop, Product Manager? Nothing works for me...
-
Its "tied" to the Axe I/O; I think. I bought the DI, and my Amp 5 is "tied" to that. t which begs the question... Hey Lars! @cclarry What is the Amp 5 Upgrade, is that the "full meal deal" (I know its not MAX). I could pull the Amp 5 Upgrade and then sell my DI??? and still have all the VIR or whatever? Inquiring minds want to know...

See above... t

I went with the 80 and 440, guess I'll go pickup the 24! t

The RME UFX can be purchased Used on Reverb.com for about $1100. Its not "cheap", I would quiz the seller why they are selling. If they upgraded to the UFX II or UFX+ you're probably good to go. (I upgraded to the UFX+ and sold my UFX on Reverb) The UFX has been around awhile, but RME keeps the drivers "up to date". Its a fine piece of "kit"! The TotalMix software is a bit "complicated" at first, like any good console is. Once you wrap your head around it, you don't know how you lived without it. t you pays yer money and ya takes your choice...

EQ->COMP or COMP->EQ, when do you and why?
DeeringAmps replied to Bapu's topic in Production Techniques
I think "fix" problem frequencies first, then compress, then "sweeten" to taste? I guess every track is different. I definitely High Pass first, get the mud out, if a track needs it... t
