  1. 154 just sayin’, I guess because I can... t
  2. Two ?‘s up here, and my toughest critic is adding a “backfield” in motion. t friend of mine gave me a “spider” capo. (I think that’s what it’s called) let’s you select which strings are capoed individually.
  3. Where there’s “munchies” there shall be cake. HBD Dave! t
  4. In reviewing my answer I should have mentioned that TotalMix can route the mic signal to ANY or ALL of the outputs. Each at its own level. I guess that was my reason for describing my headphone setup. RTFM when the RME arrives, then a little trial and error, coupled with an abundance of patience (there’s the big problem for me ?) and it should all fall in place. I can’t over stress that TotalMix is a bit daunting right out of the gate. But no more so than any console. t
  5. You’re doing a ctrl+c at SoundCloud, then “dropping” that in the thread here; right? If you ctrl+c the new mix and “edit” the original post, then drop the new one in you get varying results? t I’ve never done it, but what happens if you “select” the link and try to edit that?
  6. TotalMix can route your mic signal to any of the outputs (6 on the UCX?) As I mentioned, I always monitor the “live” vocal. When tracking guitar through Virtual Amps I have to monitor the Cakewalk “delayed” signal. I have two headphone amps, one on the rack and one in vocal booth. Presonus HP-60’s have two stereo inputs A & B. Input A is Cakewalk playback and whatever mic is “hot”. Input B is just the “hot” mic. That way the singer/guitarist can control playback volume and add as much of their performance as they want. I’m confident you can get TotalMix to jump thru any “hoops” you can conceive. Why do you need to “block” phantom voltage? How are you buying from that doesn’t have a 30 day trial? I realize on some items it cheaper to keep it than pay the shipping back. Welcome to the club, no sympathy from me, I can barely lift the box of surplus cables I have ? take a deep breath, we’ll get it working! t
  7. Only the KING can answer that question. oh where art thou? probably a deal, grab “ legacy of rock” t
  8. Is this not included in the Orange collection? t
  9. Rex, Typically when tracking vocals I’m monitoring the “live” vocal. However, when tracking guitar, I’m monitoring a Virtual amp, so I’m “hearing” the 64 sample delayed signal. Basically the same delay I would be hearing on stage if I was 6 feet or so from the amp. Unless your project is monstrously complex you should be able to run Cakewalk at 64 samples without issue. I’m assuming your computer is “up to the task”. I’m on the road, but I’ll try to check back regularly, I don’t “live stream”, but it can’t be that tuff. You shouldn’t need a mixer. TotalMix is a virtual mixer and amazingly versatile. It takes a bit to “wrap your head” around it. Just like any “console”, it’s a bit intimidating at first. I’m sure the UCX could handle the “split” mic signal, but I wouldn’t even start down that “rabbit hole”. Setup a simple project, UCX at 64 samples, and “make” it work. The original UFX could run at 48 samples, l always used 64 for tracking virtual amps and VSTi, the UFX+ will run at 32 samples, but again if I can’t play “in time” on stage? I always run at 64. Now mixing, I just “max” it out to 2048. That way I can dump a truck load of effects, but that’s another thread. Don’t over think this. You’re in RME county now... t
  10. I'll have to look, for whatever reason PM tries to "bone" me everytime. t
  11. Your making me feel good there Brian. I used GC's to buy in and bought 300. Used the left overs to pick up a few things including the Wreck and Cab. Good to know it was money well spent. t
  12. Garcon, make mine a double s'il vous plait... t
  13. Yeah, but that's not your network drive Jacques. That's your C drive. I should have brought this up earlier, but the downloads should be going to some kind of "data" drive on your system. When you install the "sounds" they should be going to a "sample" drive. You should NOT let "Product Manager" install to its default choice! Select ... More Options and then Install to... and point it to your Sample Drive. For me a DAW needs at minimum 4 drives OS: keep it lean and mean Audio: this is where your projects live Samples: this is where the m.2 drives really shine Data: All your downloads, OS images, etc. Then of course you need a big ***** (whoops, a-s-s) external drive(s) to back it all up. Just sayin' t
  14. I will only say there are 3 sure signs of old age.... t damned if I can remember any of them! ? at least I can remember there are 3 signs...
  15. @Peter - IK Multimedia what is the deadline GMT? t
  16. That would be where two fools met, IKM for giving it away and Us for not grabbing it! t 832
  17. I missed my opportunity for a charter membership in Procrastinators Unanimous. But I remain an Eternal Optimist! t
  18. Well we should get a little "surge" there at the end. Maybe that's a Plus!
  19. That was beautiful Jerry! t
  20. That's a good question! Hey @Peter - IK Multimedia the back ordered and unregistered ARC 3's have not been counted? t
  21. If you bought for instance Amp 5 originally, and have now selected Amp 5 as a freebie; Yes you can sell the original. What you cannot (well really SHOULD NOT) sell is the GB items you have bought. All my freebies are tied to the ARC 3 w/mic. If I was to sell that I would lose all freebies "attached" to it. HTH, t
