Two things are essential in my little studio. My Tascam FW1884, and the Frontier Tranzport. Good to know you got it working in Win 11. Fingers crossed that when I move to 11 there's hope the 1884 will follow. I don't think this will last long. t why am I not jumping on this just for a backup? why am I asking vous...

Welcome to the forum Dave. A fitting tribute to your friend. I've said on this forum before, the worst thing a good dog does is get old... One little crit/suggestion: Some of the instrumentation with slow attack might best be nudged a bit forward on the timeline. Kangaroo Muse is a little more in my wheelhouse, dig the SG Jr. (double cut LP Jr's are a personal favorite of mine). so overall, a ?'s and ?from me. t

Interesting... Its all good! t

Is it just my knackered ears or is there some "wow and flutter" on the guitar track? Chorus or flanger, maybe? Reminds me (though not as extreme) of the guitar on Jumpin' Jack Flash (the two acoustics were recorded on a cassette IIRC). As far as streaming services, can't help you there. However, would be interested in the differences in the mastering for streaming. Also, I'm assuming the original mastering would have been different for vinyl and the CD; not the same master for both; right? t

Wow! Now that's a horse of a different colour! I am impressed! t

I "liked" it the first go round (here and at SoundClick). I still like it! ? t it would appear today I am the "big" little t

Please sir, may I have another? You've been busy Jesse, keep up the good work... t name that tune. "Now, if a six turned out to be nine I don't mind, oh, I don't mind If all the hippies cut off all their hair I don't care, I don't care" that is all...

Liked "when I kissed you goodbye as well" t will the social commentary go over their heads Jesse?

Welcome to the forum Riff. Got really interesting when the harmonics hit about the 32 sec mark. Hendrix used to warm the crowd up with a little "whammy gymnastics" telling the crowd: "We're gonna see what kind of sounds we can get". so a ?'s from me... t

Number one ?'s ?'s on writing, production, video editing, social commentary; et cetera. But let us not forget that "the times create the man woman, the man woman does not create the times". ('bout as far as I should go given the TOS here on the forum. Please, lets not go down that path...) t And a quick note, the link seems to be jumping to the 6 second mark. There's that little "box" you can ✔️ when you "share" to make the link hit a "mark"; maybe you checked it. I don't think I've asked before, should I refer to you as p? As in who is p? or whoisp? Serious question, not trying to be flippant or funny

Love the harmonica! Ok, I got that out of the way... Kind of a poly rhythmic thing going on; yeah! ? t I've talked about using the D'Addario "Flat Tops" on my acoustics and "Half Rounds" on my electrics. They help with the "squeaks"; a bunch! Downside; you do lose a little of that "new strings" brightness. (that doesn't "last" anyway). And the "G" on the acoustics; I buy extra singles 'cause I go right thru them (literally!). You might try a de-eser, with a little automation you can get the track "cleaned" up pretty good. That or just some volume automation, or ? a combination of the two. The wife is a huge Joni Mitchell fan, I'm constantly hearing; "why doesn't Joni get all that squeaking?". (my toughest critic; by far. The wife, not Joni ?) No substitute for good technique...

Interesting; spacey, that's a good description. I don't think so. Only crit, bring that guitar track up so its a bit more in focus (but I'm a guitar player, so its always "more me") ?'s t

You quoted just enough, yet kept it true to yourself; well done that! The only change I make is raise those leads up a bit. Much enjoyed Mark... t

Keith, That would be “typical”. RME here (not Focusrite, doesn’t matter), I have several preamps/compressors that I bring in via the RME line ins. Using ASIO drivers (best option), Cake can only “see” one interface. I’ll look at the Penta specs and get back if I’ve given bad advice. t plug the Penta into the Scarlet; you’re good to go! experiment with the gain staging, shouldn’t be much different than what you’ve been doing. HTH

You're never afraid to bare your soul Jack, I respect that! ? t That synth voice in the left can is a bit loud, or my left ear is a bit too sensitive this morning; take your pick...

?'s John. There's a couple of spots I'd use We've instead of We have and I'd use We made so long ago instead of We've made... Minor editing really. I'm always impressed by how well you use Trilian, but sometimes I think you get a little too "melodic" (and you know my feelings on the high bass notes). (keep in mind I spent too many years playing over bassists who were actually guitar players playing bass ?) For me, the bass is the "anchor" of a tune, and its getting in the way of the vocal melody (IMHO). Maybe a synth voice for those times when you feel you want some melodic support of the vocal. If I'm sitting in the producers chair, these are the things I would bring up in pre-production. Deal breakers? No, not at all; just my rambling thoughts as I listened to the tune; take 'em with a grain of salt..... ? t
