Jesse, you've been busy. Good work all. I have nothing cleaver clever to say, so I will sigh sign off... t

I like the bluesy riff in this one Jack. If you want to take this from "demo" to finished work; I think you need some live guitars. Maybe a "grinding" B3 would be a nice touch. A little "spit and polish" on the lyrics and I think you have a tune here. t

EZD2/3 and Superior 3, I always have the toms on one stereo track, and the Overheads are on one stereo track. Notice that they are spread across the stereo field in the EZD2 mixer. In the console view you can see I have a preset “pop rock toms” in the pro channel. I tend to gate the “ring” out on the toms. In this shot it’s not “active”; ?. This tune did have the drums “frozen” so the bounce must have sounded “right”. You can see I did work on the kick and snare post freeze. In SD3 and EZD3 I have the ride on a separate track as well, it’s “heresy”, but all the bleed with “live” drums drives me nuts. Back in the day I was playing guitar and/or singing. I can/have track drums, but an “engineer” set up the mics and got the levels in the ballpark. Way above my pay grade. All I had to do was arm and press “R”. ? Again HTH t

? that causes an issue; doh! Been there, done that ?. As to the EZD mixer, here's shots of the EZD Mixer and the Console: probably pretty typical in my work. HTH, t

Working in EZD2's Song Track works just fine, until you want/need to freeze the drums. Then you have to move the midi into a midi track. If your computer is having no issues with the VSTi's in the project, leave the midi in EZD2. I break EZD2/3/SD3 out into 8 tracks (in the folder DRUMS) routed to the DRUMS Buss, and do all my mixing in CbB. But it "works" either way; personal preference. I have projects where I've combined midi in the track and midi in the EZD Song Track. If I'm having no latency "issues" (when I'm mixing I always max the buffers) I don't bother freezing. HTH, t Just a note here, EZD3 is a significant improvement over EZD2, well worth the early discount. Pretty sure Black Friday, or maybe some earlier discounting, will see similar pricing... Jump in, the waters fine!

I have the “old” Babyface in the office rig. Yes the breakout is “klunky”, but it is “rock solid”. If I was setting up an occasional “mobile” rig I could make it work, but I would probably find a better solution if I was “mobile” on a regular basis. HTH, t

Yeah, but the tone is great! I'll echo all above. t

Agreed! ? +1 t

New Korg M1 vst3 crashes every project
DeeringAmps replied to TVR PRODUCTIONS's topic in Instruments & Effects
Yes, hold the Shift key when you open the project. Cake will let you open only the plugins you want. It can take awhile to go thru the list. Hopefully the offending plug will come early and then you can “Yes to All” HTH t -
Touching Freddy, really nice! t I think I'd up the verb on the guitars a bit. PS: congrats on the anniversary. We’ll celebrate 49 in November.

Toontrack Weekend Deals - ROCK! EZX & HEAVY ROCK GROOVES Midi
DeeringAmps replied to Bad Penguin's topic in Deals
No, they have become my GOTO for most things ToonTrack. I was referring to the ROCK! EZX. BTW, 6 packs are $83 (well two days ago) Last time I bought they were $89. (Euro vs USD?) t about what its worth, IMHO (or not so humble opinion...) -

Might be you get what you paid for. Not a go to; for me. Was surprised I didn’t have the midi pack. Must admit at $10 I was “all in”. Not surprised that @Bapu didn’t chime in “installed”. Ed is maybe the only one more invested in the Toon eco system than I am…, t -
Its called "Fair Prices" Dave. Not to be confused with "Fair and Equitable", it means; You're at the Fair! t $50 and drinks beats $75 each for the night, for the band member thats a drinker. just sayin'...

Listening on DT990’s here. But it could just be my knackered 70 year old ears. t
-
Enjoyed the track. But Am I the only one that feels the kick is really dominating the track? It just doesn't sound like its in the same room as the snare or anything else. Could be its just me... t from YouTube "been working on making some high gain amps for MTurboamp" Chandler does a lot of demo vids for Melda, evidently he is putting together some presets.

DeeringAmps replied to jwnicholson78's topic in Songs
No issues on the DT990's here, but bear in mind that at 70 my "top end" is pretty well hosed... t oh, and I enjoyed the piece! -
Just caught the YouTube version, ?'s. Clever how each chorus is different; well done! t

"reduce the level" It was common practice in commercial radio, that the voice of the DJ reduced, "ducked", the music he was speaking over. Evidently TrackSpacer is using some kind of multiband compression based on the vocal track to "make space" or "duck" the rest of the mix. (hope I made that clear) t
-
I don't own a lawnmower, I do have a sprayer and buy industrial strength RoundUp by the gallon ?: I'd opt for sidechaining the vocal to the snare. Check out Creative Sauce's tutorial if not familiar. ?'s t concur
-
?'s t So Jesse, are your lyrics mostly a "stream of consciousness" thing?

That link isn't working @Barry Seymour Nigel is right. t looking forward to the new mix
