The “fiasco” was “lifetime” updates to Sonar Platinum, often referred to as SPLAT. While I’m sure that the “retail” price will be “reasonable” does any manufacturer “owe” someone 5 versions back any discount? Especially if they have supported you for 5+ years for FREE! Really? Sonar 8.5 was released when? t

Would anyone spend $300 for this? How is $225 a “deal”? Didn’t they have an online “mastering” thing for awhile? Did anyone actually think it “improved” the songs they uploaded? Really? A hard “pass” here. why did I bother commenting?… t

I shake my head every time someone announces they are moving on to S1. Clearly “marketing” is NOT the team’s forte. This will all shake out once Sonar drops, but at what cost to the user base? Look at how ToonTrack rolled out their new B3. “Check it out, B3 in two weeks!” The only winner here has been PreSonus… t

Off topic, but this is the Coffee House, when George passed he still had Lucy (the red Les Paul Clapton played on While my Guitar Gently Weeps), Patty Boyd was long gone from Eric’s bed. Who got the better deal in that swap? t

Just a thought, use melodyne to write the harmonies, use as a guide track and sing them. Enjoyed Andy, the bones are here, now flesh it out. t
