Thanks Lars, looks like maybe I'm gonna be $129 lighter... "Curses" I like it! This GAS is a curse! T
-
So $129 is the "best" deal. I'm not really a TH-U user, is that worth it? Is the "Academy" worth it? Questions, questions, questions! Inquiring minds want to know... T Do I need it? Do I even want it? Why am I asking you? Gawd this GAS is killin' me!

iLok required for "perpetual users"?? iLok Cloud for All Access Users, what's that?? T

new Bats Brew album: "The Wild Animals", available now!
DeeringAmps replied to bats brew's topic in The Coffee House
Yep, I'm a fan, had to! Listening now. T -
Link works fine on my computer, AFTER logging into BandLab. Does not work on my phone, even after logging into BandLab (this is via firefox). Maybe if I add the BandLab app to my phone? I don't think I'm so inclined... Tom

Some heavy guitars to be sure, but as soon as they hit, all I hear of the drums is that crash panned hard left. If the waveform that BL is showing is anywhere near accurate you've "slammed" the mix; for me it makes it a bit hard to "hear" all instruments. @garybrunyou need to sign into your BandLab account; I find that annoying, but evidently that's how BL works. FM I hope you find some constructive criticism in all that, you've got some things going on and I'd like to hear it all. Tom

Diggin’ the drums that’s for sure; EZD there? Cool the way you broke it down just before the 2 minute minute mark, and again about 3. I kept waiting for the groove to return, but always leave ‘em wanting more! Thumps up for sure from me. Tom

I’m not hearing the kick. Pick Up The Pieces played next and the kick is fine. I’m guessing there’s some midrange “congestion”. I’d play with your high pass on the guitar buss maybe. Solo the bass and kick (I tend to put the bass on the drum buss), check the interplay there.

Own both, no headphone correction with Arc. Really need to dig in with Studio and see which works best in my space. T

You need an electric guitar VSTi. There are guitar sounds in TTS-1 that you can experiment with, get familiar with combining the guitar and amp. There’s many out there, download some demos and check it out. Then you can decide which “guitar” works best for you.

Yeti, You need an instrument to feed the amplifier. Correct me if I’m wrong, you are not playing a real guitar. Jude77 listed a couple of options. Tom

I tip my ? to you Sir Lars! Tom

It’s a pie made with<drum roll please>pecans; pretty much a southern staple. Tend to be very rich, as in you can’t help yourself, you gotta have one more bite! But invariably, that “one more bite”, is two bites too many. Tom As far as the pumpkin, yeah come on Bill. And as long as you’re at it, I’d like a slice of Dutch apple; I’ll bring the HagenDass vanilla. ?

Hope I’ve helped a bit.

I can see that! Vocal isn’t too bright on the Bose cans here. <begin senior moment >My 688 is still front and center here, just using it as a control surface, <end senior moment >but never felt it was anything but a quality tape machine and console. It’s all about good songwriting, strong performances, and getting the most out of the gear you got. You nailed all three. Thumbs up!!! Tom ps: I did truly love my 688, replaced it with the FW-1884 that does still sit at the center of my studio. Man, am I getting old???

any feedback on what I've been working on is welcome

I learned something, thanks. -
I see a full dance floor when I hear this. Mix is clean and full; I’d be happy if this was my mix. A big two thumbs up! Tom

That was grand mate, really grand. It would be lovely standing on its own, but the way you synced to vid was excellent! I especially enjoyed you letting the gorilla have his say at the end. Now, what is the diff between 3/4 and 6/8? I’m half serious, why do we favor 12/8 over 6/4? Tom -
Really like the way you toyed with the melody, kept it interesting without over embellishing it; nicely done! Now a little niggle, the toms are hard hard left on my cans and don’t seem to occupy the same space as the rest of the instruments. Tom

Just let me know where to send my donation!

“mklink” that’s the dynamic link, maybe I’ve titled it incorrectly. Like I said, scook has covered that extensively. Probably use google to search the forum if it’s not coming up on the forum search. Can we search by author with the forum software?
