The simple answer is no. Any plug-in would be after the “clip”. Use an analog compressor to control the level, or set the gain low enough to avoid the clipping. Two schools of thought in the modern age. With 24 bits of headroom, and the low self noise of modern hardware, most just set the gain low enough to avoid clipping. Being of a certain age, I prefer to compress on the way in. Take your choice. tom

Insert both and check, exclude the one you don’t want. tom My bad, I see duplicates in the drop down when I insert effects, caused by having both the VST2 and VST3 enabled.
