  1. Its all been said above, so I'll just add ?'s! t just so's ya know, I had to sit through 1:02 of ads over ta SoundCloud; man was it Worth It!
  2. I've brought that up in the past, I've concluded that Doug is Kirby; simple as that. My only crit, I'd throw a high pass on the guitar; its sucking up a lot of the low end clarity. Otherwise, totally up to Kirby standards! ? t ok, closing thoughts, at 6:09 I'd be "trimming the fat"; That Is Not A Suggestion, just what I would do. Doug its your song, your production; well done!
  3. Good songwriting and performances always trump production value. Revisit? Sure why not? Do it all the time. The Wind Cries Mary, one of Jimi's best; evidently he tried to revisit it numerous times. Don't let getting this one perfect, keep you from writing two more. Just my nickel98... tom
  4. I have the 250 ohm, love 'em. those too... t
  5. @paulo My initial reaction; MPS 4 is not worth $167. If you haven't gotten value from Groove 3 this year? Run, don't walk, to the nearest exit.... t
  6. Try it, maybe the one I got is that one on the “bell curve” that’s a bit noisy. And we’re not talking terrible. I was trying to organize things better, the redeye has to sit on the desk. But the Radial was a bit noisy. Can’t have things humming! That’s what I love about valve amps; dead quiet ? t
  7. I have one in the “lunchbox” as well. In via Redeye, re-amp via X-Amp (don’t ask me why). The only drawback with the Redeye, no 500 model for the lunchbox. I have the Radial 500 DI too, it was “noisy” compared to the Redeye; pulled it. t
  8. The voucher extends your subscription another year; so say you paid in April, you’d be good till April 2022. If you use the tutorials then there’s value, if you don’t... as to the “value” of MPS 4? t
  9. Little Labs Redeye. You can thank me later. Pricey, but priceless. tom did I mention you can thank me later?
  10. You might be right! As I would re-up with Groove 3 anyway, my net cost was $67.17. Do I “need” Neoverb and Nectar Plus; remains to be seen. t
  11. Ah "Group" I used "Forum" Thanks Lars Just a little update: $167.16 from JRR! Registered and requested the Groove 3 voucher via the "Live Chat" from my Izotope Account (not the portal). Just sayin' cause I might not be the only nitwit that didn't get the voucher last year....
  12. I just echo all the above (with the exception of the Kemper comments, I don't need anymore gear, so I'll just pretend its a Marshall...) ? t
  13. I can see that. Now he needs some extra voices in the chorus (think Nash and Crosby; that's what makes Stills' vocals work so well) No one has mentioned (WT hey?) the "breakdown" there at 2:04ish; very cool! All in on this one Kevin; ?'s and toes! t
  14. I'll add a ? to all the above! t <rant> and I won't even mention what a PITA the BandLab thing is, log in, go back and pop the link again; needlessly over complicated... </rant>
  15. $177.11 in my cart. @cclarry is that the best deal going? t
  16. If buying from JRR, do you get the Groove 3 subscription? I’d have to check, but I don’t remember getting a voucher last year on the MPS 3 upgrade. t
  17. I’m seeing the same things as Kevin. I would describe the nectar results as “harsh” or too bright. (same thing, different adverb). tom
  18. I kid, I kid!! Hopefully, I repeat Hopefully, I can demo 5CS and see if the upgrade to 5 is such a “must have” I drop the coin now, or do I wait for the inevitable deals down the road... My guess? gonna wait t
  19. Somehow I missed that, but vinyl and celluloid have rendered him immortal ! t
