  1. Back in the day, the final set of a Frat gig was Louie Louie, Gloria, and Satisfaction. The Frat boys would line up to take their turn “singing”? their favorite. Good thing 55’s, 57’s and 58’s are nearly indestructible. More than once (must have been one frat in particular) 8mm porn would play on the wall behind the band. All the beer we could nic, porn, and $75 bucks split 5 ways; not a bad night for a bunch of 14/15 year old kids... and now evidence subliminal music theory edumacation as well PRICELESS! @Reid Rosefelt You know you want/must follow with Gloria t
  2. @paulo It’s called a Cali Girl; brown on the outside, pink on the inside. Original brown cases bring a “pretty penny” on the vintage market. t
  3. This is very sad, but I will tell you this brought me joy; hopefully that will let you experience a little vicariously... t

    Goblins

    I vote enjoyed! ? t
  5. Barry is a storyteller in that vain for sure; Bruce and a bit of Seger. Well done as always on all fronts. t just my nickel98, I think the verb is working just fine...
  6. ? Well done one and all! (though the jpg caused a little twinge of claustrophobia!) t

    Contactless

This living in a "bubble" is wearing thin, but sleeping in the ground ain't so hot neither; what can I say... Well done tresha t
  8. ? ?'s to ya both! t I was gonna remind everyone it just takes a minute to leave a like and maybe even a comment over at SoundClooud. Ah, but nobody ever listens............
  9. Its arena rock Baps! ? More excellent Kirby, that's for sure! t I'm feeling a bit of "professional jealousy" here. You bang 'em out man, its killin' me! between you and @freddy j, I feel useless and weak.....
  10. I'll echo all of the above. Stellar work on all fronts; songwriting, performance, and production! ?'s t Just a reminder gents (and ladies) it don't cost nuthin' to leave a like and a comment over at SoundCloud. just sayin'... or should it be just "shaming"
  11. Used to? I was turned on to TYA by the '68 live album Undead. Remember Woodchoppers Ball in particular; absolutely great stuff. Good job John! First rate cover. Love the doubled vocal, and excellent guitar work. t actually don't remember this tune
  12. After trying most of the major DAWS when Sonar went “dark”, Reaper was the only one I was interested in. That being said, it was only considered as a “fall back” position when Sonar would have completely “quit”. Bear in mind my ‘50 000-28 and ‘68 Paul still fill my needs, and my XP pc’s still run my embroidery machines flawlessly. One of those XP machines is the “leanest”, “meanest” pc I own. So take my nickel98 with a grain of salt... CbB (Cakewalk by BandLab) tom don’t get me started on NOS Mullard GZ-34’s ?
  13. Don't get me started! Left Wave long ago, no regrets... t ? Waves
  14. Must be the "power of suggestion" 'cause I'm hearing something... ? I too am lovin' those guitar tones, especially the ambiance on the single note lines. t
  15. <rant> Once again "bitten" by the BandLab app. First I have to log in, that does NOT take me to the tune. Back to the forum, pop the link again and FINALLY I get to hear the tune. (actually passed a couple of times when I was on my phone; a real fluster cluck on my phone) Have I mentioned I think this sucks! (not your tune Wooks, its great!) </rant> ? t the toms at 2:55 ish seem a bit dry (and now again at 3:20) I hate my voice too, but I'd bring the vocal up a bit...

    ........

? you got me thinking The Association again... t
  17. I was thinking this needed something, a grinding B3 maybe?, then it hit; yeah! I do think the verse is a bit "naked"; but your tune, your production. Overall ? t
  18. Well done Rain, a classic Tele (the only “real”Tele really). You’ve joined the ranks of Eric, Jeff, and Pagey; who all became “classic “ Paul players. You made the journey “backwards “, but all good! nothing else sounds like a Tele! Butterscotch, blackguard, blonde neck; what could be better? tom the only possible improvement to a Tele is the “B” bender, simply amazing in the hands of a real Tele man...
  19. Generally I record the dry guitar input to CbB, then re-amp if I'm not happy with the tone I'm getting in Amplitube or S-Gear. Sometimes I monitor via an amp, sometimes in software; no real rhyme or reason, what can I say.... I am going to build an led "buffered" cord today as I sometimes get the "scratchy" transient on the dry signal. Thanks to @Gswitzfor posting the Anderton link. I think he had suggested in the past lowering the pickups to cut down on the transient (maybe it was someone else), but I had totally missed this. t
  20. As Fleer said, six packs. When purchasing a six pack, you receive generic serial numbers. Register the serial at Toon and select the midi pack you want. t
  21. I was offered a charter membership in Procrastinators Unanimous never got around to signing up ? Add another to the long list of good ones freddy t
  22. inquiring minds want to know! many ?'s on the guitar! As always, first rate work. t
