  1. Sounds spot on for the genre here. If the client's happy, I'm happy... t Liked the B3 btw
  2. Yep! Yeah, I go to Harry Fox and pay the licensing (min $17) fees for the few I have up. We are in agreement there... again, great cover t
  3. Definitely an Edmunds fan to be sure. Personally feel its a shame he's best remembered for what is a "novelty" tune. Great job Shane, btw ?. On Love Sculpture's Blues Helping album Dave "nails" the Freddie King burner The Stumble. On that tune Dave is as good as any of the Famous Three, British rock gods... t sorry to "steal" your thread Shane, there are good guitarists and then there are the rare virtuosos. Dave, by virtue of his work in Love Sculpture, is one of those "rare" ones on my list. I get carried away sometimes... ? one more thing: I jumped over to SoundCloud to drop a "like" but this tune didn't come up on your feed; how does that work?
  4. I'm not good with genres, but; this IS jazz right? t

I don't have any problems getting off the couch, but as to accomplishing much; well that could be going a lot better... ?'s Jesse! t
  6. Love me some Tull. Favorite from Standup; Back to the Family. I handed off my vinyl collection New Year’s Day. Standup and a half dozen other Tull gems amongst over 100 titles. haven’t owned a turntable in 30 years? t held back one LP, my wife’s 9th grade choir performance; don’t know what I’ll do with it...
  7. Always leave 'em wantin' more! t gotta have me some of that snare; Oh Yeah!
  8. My aging ears need all the help they can get! But it is a matter of taste and style. Always the best idea me thinks... t
  9. YES, our Democracy is still in tact!
  10. Can’t say enough good about StudioCat. I have two “Cats”. Even at 10+ years old #1 is still running strong. Jim is the BEST! t
  11. Not trying to be "gratuitous" here Nigel, but I think there is a class here in mixing (I didn't say master class in deference to you feeling its not "perfect"). Wooks agrees me thinks... t
  12. As always, top notch Bats, so a big ?'s from me! On the DT990's here, the oomph is there, just not the "click" of the beater. I've mentioned this before, IIRC.... t
  13. Glenn has outlined exactly what I do. I have a send from the Master to the “Phones” buss, where I have Sonarworks. The Master is routed to the ARC buss where I have (you guessed it!) ARC. When I export a mix, it is from the Master buss simples! t
  14. Song is "credited" to Lennon McCartney, hence the tally is 71 to 72. t just keeping it real...
  15. or does the guitar just lack some "presence"? Is it just me or do the "snaps" just not seem in the same space? (having some "issues' with my tinnitus, I must admit) Love the tune btw. t I am hearing the squeaks just fine (despite the "ringing" in my ears). I've become a big fan of the D'Addario "Flat Tops" for acoustic and "Half Rounds" on my electrics. They do have a sort of "played in" tone, if you prefer that "just changed" brightness, you lose a little of that...
  16. Welcome back Cotter, er ah; Bub! Actually the forum has been remarkably (scarily?) well behaved (especially in light of the times). t
  17. Favorite Beatles cut, Tax Man but I do always wonder if Paul's guitar work was a little nod to Sounds Raga-esque to me..... t that said, favorite Beatle? Ringo hands down

There are a number of members of the forum you know you can count on for well written, well performed submissions. Allan ranks among them... t
  19. Here's the link https://www.soundclick.com/music/songInfo.cfm?songID=14176078 t Gave me a little vertigo there at the start. This is a clean mix Jesse. Don't know if I'm "Penny" as well; inquiring minds... ?
  20. Just Jesse’s eloquent sense of humour! ? https://www.soundclick.com/music/songInfo.cfm?songID=14176078 Fixed!
  21. ?'s from me. You got the TTS kit sounding really good mark. And, most importantly, you nailed Wilsey's Wicked Game tone. t I'd disable the Drive channel on my Fifty if I could get that tone consistently... Played the tune for the wife, she's got that look in her eye again.... ?
  22. The new mix is up? What Nigel heard at 1:17 & 1:19 (and I'm hearing more thru the track) are moments where the guitar is suddenly "spread" or perhaps its a delay? panned wide? It is a bit disconcerting as it hits for a moment and then is gone, I'm hearing it better now, so I guess I'm hearing the new mix? t DDB, you should have a moment of silence at the beginning of the track, and "button tight" endings are fine, but the track needs a moment of silence on both ends...
  23. Concentrate on that! Perhaps my droll humor didn't translate? t
