DeeringAmps replied to Dr.Gerry's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
The water's fine Gerry. Cakewalk (Sonar) is better than ever! tom just remember; Do Not uninstall Platinum. Some of your paid VST/VSTi want it to stay on the disc... -
That's your no-brainer; IMHO... t

DeeringAmps replied to Abstract's topic in Deals
I caved, used the "USER" voucher; $14.95 for the FUCHS ODS. (tried to use both vouchers, they gave the ?) t Hey its the 31st, my GAS-EX has run out; again! Hope it shows up soon... -
That's the only thing that stood out to me, like its not in the same room as everything else. ? That explains it. Love that slide, well everything really. If I mixed this I'd pull the vocal up a tad, maybe the slide a bit too? Might be worth droping the drum mp3 into Superior and see if it pulls out a decent midi file; just a thought... t did I say I loved the track? ?

Watch who you're calling "older" there mate ?. It touches a bit too close to home, but certainly not "mature"... You're on the right track, I'll hold the like for the final mix. t

Reminds of a tune (tunes aren't similar of course, the comments are) I posted years ago on Broadjam. A surf tune my friend/long time collaborator had submitted to Taxi. Someone was incensed by the "programmed" drums; boy was Jeff's drummer pissed (drum track was kind of Wipeout ish) I told him to consider it as a compliment. Not quite a "Cinematic" soundstage, wish I had a solution for you (both of us really). t

This is a bit different than your other posts, interesting... Good advice above on the distortion and hyper-compression; its not working on this one. Easy to fix. t

?'s I'll just echo the comments above... t

Lynn and I always disagree on "length" (not a crit Lynn or Wooks, y'all can't see it, but my tongue is in my cheek). I'm down with that! Going with a ??'s. t

We all have those, I work on mine while I wait for inspiration to hit. I'll save the "like" for the re-make/re-mix... t

As always, you never fail to deliver; ?'s. Always the same sax player on your tunes? t

You've got the riff and the groove, but as many (most?) have mentioned the intro begins to drag on. I feel the angst, you're getting that across. Needs some work, but there's a "foundation" here to work from. I do hope this is more exaggerated storytelling than purly autobiographical... tom

I was "pretty good" at that this year, hopefully ?, I will continue on that path.... t in the meantime I have an Amazon subscription, and I'm constantly running out; hence the "impulse" buys I'm guilty of...

I’m playing it “safe”. I don’t always freeze my guitar tracks, I guess because I often go back and re-amp tracks. I do mklink to my sample drives anything that takes up significant space on the C drive. In the case of Amp 4 & 5, over 3 gigs if memory serves. t consequently my old cat has Amp 3 4 5, Sonar 8 - Platinum; you get the picture...

Without a doubt, it does what it does very well. I always struggle with the Clean voices. I want to hear that big glassy Strat from Wicked Games. Getting an amp to Drive like a fine Italian sports car; piece of cake.... t -

Maybe the Dumble, Trainwreck a bit of a "one trick pony"; IMHO. Not sure I can't get enough "Dumble-ish" from AT5 though, as all these sims are generally way too driven in the presets. Do I want/need it? Why am I asking you? t first impression, NO, but I guess I have until Midnight on the 31st to decide... -
Inquiring minds want to know. @Bajan Blue Maybe post some examples... t

Ditto. Was going to rate Sunset as my #1, but I guess $ for $, it was the group buy. And as you said was the "sleeper" for me that really stands out! t
