Tom Guy sounds a bit like Lyndon Johnson. I'm no sound engineer but I know a good mix when I hear one and you have it here. Very well balanced and everything in its place - not so easy to do.
 -
Nah, she liked it. And you know my comment about the headphones was only good natured joshing.

I clicked on the Buy button then selected the Upgrade option, then logged in and got the same message ZincT got above. "As an owner of Session Guitarist - Electric Sunburst you qualify to install and activate this version. " Which means I got the $49 price. I bought Session Guitarist separately about a year ago since it wasn't part of the Komplete version I have.

our minds are made up, no more hesitation now the nation's gonna reach that destination just climb on board 'cause the movement's begun I'm talkin' about joementum something like that ?

I second the comments above but I also wanted to say that I like that bit about the smile across the room and how it changed the mood of the morning. That's just a wonderful observation and one that I think we've all experienced.

Thanks Wookie. I appreciate the comment. Tom I was hoping someone would comment on the fiddle and what you said is just what I had expected. Yeah it seemed to me the fiddle was too busy most of the time and being more distracting than contributing anything musical. I tamed it quite a bit but apparently not enough. Thanks.

Jesse Beautiful melody beautifully sung. She sounds familiar but I can't place her.

Tom Sounds like one of those precautionary tales from the 50s about reefer madness and communists. Kind of hits your brain at an odd angle hearing the audio set to unrelated music. Might be fun to mess with the audio a bit more - more delays and such - like you did at the end. Pretty cool what you came up with.

Jesse Yes, I am a legend in my own mind. ? Oohs and aahs is a good suggestion! I had a strings track for a while but it didn't work. freddy Thanks for your always positive comments. mr t Thanks. Gonna have to check out Union Station. soundregion Thanks. I appreciate the comment. David Lyrics and music by me, but Doug made it his own.

Wookie I took some notes while listening Beginning: Ping-ponging bass is very good. Menacing feel. ~2:00 the happy part of the cosmic brain here I thought my cell phone rang at one point ~ 5:45 Explosions followed by debris raining down - really cool effect. 8:00 Random chord changes exploration ~10:30 Different direction here. Sinister synths. Really liking this part Nice add on fx too. Spooky. Another reliable ambient track from you. The 2nd part starting around 11:00 works better IMO. Mix is good as is the dynamic range.

Story about a guy returning to his home after too many years in the cold world. It's been done before. It's kind of old school country with that unashamedly sentimental vibe to it. Fantastic vocal by Doug Kirby! Many thanks Doug. I tried hard for a realistic fiddle sound and I mostly like the result. There are a LOT of articulation controls in Bolder Sounds Fiddle but I only used 3 or 4 of them. Thanks for listening Bolder Sounds Fiddle V2 NI Strummed Acoustic NI Picked Acoustic Ilya Efimov Modern Bass AD drums

Jesse, I always put the headphones on when listening to your songs because my wife always gives me the "WTF is that?" look if she hears it on the speakers. This song though I let her listen to it. And she likes it! Me too!

t Doesn't sound rough to me. Vocal is great, maybe could use some reverb or something, maybe not. Very cool intro with the train leading into the song. "Barr the truth" I get shivers when I hear MLK speak - so inspiring. You looking for more lyrics?
 -
Lynn Love the sound of your songs - all the components that go into them add up nicely. I'm totally impressed with the sax played by your guitar! Seems like the voc was too low in the mix here so didn't get the full effect of the vocoder fx. Thumbs up on the song. Enjoyed it!

Another professional production. Great video tho I think the song could stand by itself as well.
 -
That patented Freddy J sound. ? 1:22 really nice thump thump thump not sure what else to call it. I've been liking your subject matter the last couple of songs. Getting into some human nature dysfunction stuff. I would never have thought of the term blackhole personality. That should be in the DSM-5.

Tells a story in song. It's repetitive but in a good way, but varying with the chord changes That piano refrain really adds to the ominous vibe. Actually I think it is the ominous vibe. Still not sure what you mean by sine underneath. I'm thinking a drone-ish sine wave based pad in the background? Whatever, it works.

Boy I was pleasantly surprised to hear this style of music from you. So impressed by your guitar playing. You really should do more like this one.
 -
Doug Not sure how you did the vocal treatment, but very effective. Couple of chord changes didn't work for me ~1:45 I like the line "my eyes won't listen to me" Very good melody. I thought the gtr accompaniment could be varied bit more. Thanks for posting another great song.
 -
Mark Your Bob Seger-ish voice is perfect for the genre. Absolutely love that harmonica. I thought the drums needed more variation. Totally enjoyed this. Thanks.
 -
Jesse, your songs are sort of like looking at a Jackson Pollock abstract painting and thinking hmmmmm.
 -
	Got it. Thanks Larry.
 -
David, I like the exploration feel to the song, like walking around in an unfamiliar place seeing what's there. Something like that. Drums were bit too aggressive in one spot. It brought to mind Pink Panther for me as well.
 -
Abrupt beginning and ending. Great piano. Improvised? Might be out of sync in a spot or two. Really like that cool trumpet and the BGV ooooohs. Thumbs up! Good point. About the only music I listen to any more is mine or the music on this forum. And the music here is (usually) very good and diverse. The comments I make aren't useful most of the time, but I like to let the musician know that someone listened and liked their song.

I agree that saying it in music is easier than saying it without music (except for making it rhyme). You do have a few layers of instruments in there. I thought they came in at the right places in the song, esp the organ. Mix sounds pretty good to me. Melodyne (?) glitch ~ 1:06
