  1. Polyverse Comet is the most obvious.
  2. Somewhat off topic, but does anyone else find that they download a demo of a plugin/instrument, play with it for a bit and like it, so decide to buy it, then find that the purchased version just doesn't seem to sound so good?
  3. I've got 2 or 3 that I still use - not often, but I can't find anything that replicates their sound. And they won't get updated (or in one case, the 64 bit equivalent is buggy as all hell) ?
  4. Interesting and potentially useful. It does dump all DX into one list, which makes sense in a way, and merges 32 and 64 bit VST2s into one hierarchy, which also makes sense I guess.
  5. And even if the output were balanced, most hum is being generated (for want of a better word) inside the guitar, not the cable. Get some screening paint for the guitar cavity if you want to try to minimise it (I've done it on my guitar, but not sure it made much difference!).

Thanks (and thanks for the earlier feedback which helped me sculpt the tune). And with a nod to @Wookiee, gear/plugin list: - Drums - BFD 2 - Synths - Surge XT, Korg MS-20, u-he Zebralette, G-Force Minomonsta - All guitar FX TH-U, enhanced with Valhalla Shimmer, Supermassive and SpaceModulator - Various Cakewalk stock Pro Channel effects
  7. 1 - Luck. 2 - Yes. 3 - Once you've paid the licence fee.

    PAN AND RECALL MIX

Does the track fader actually move or is it just the sound that pans?

So I updated it to take note of the comments here and my own thoughts: https://www.bandlab.com/xoospacemusic/forge-of-gravitons-550cb3b0?revId=4abee98e-d5fd-ec11-b47a-281878315d59 It's no longer *quite* so short now!
  10. But look on other boards (eg. KvR) where an oft-aired complainy about Cakewalk/SONAR is how busy it is...you can't please everyone.

Thanks both. I got lazy with the drums (and the ending for that matter) as I just wanted to get a tune done*, so didn't spend much time on them after the first few bars. I agree that something like a cymbal crash/opening up would work - I think I'm going to extend it and fade into a slower, ambient, minor part as the guitar reverb fades out. * I'm sure like many of us here, we have a bazillion half-done tunes sitting on our PCs!
  12. I've seen a genuine marble guitar. Not for the lightweights amongst us.

Another short but sweet instrumental from somewhere out there. https://www.bandlab.com/xoospacemusic/forge-of-gravitons-550cb3b0?revId=7d84f1d9-120a-ed11-b47a-281878315d59 (3rd time lucky to upload the right file...)
  14. I had a chance to meet Dave Gilmour in 2011 at a work do...and I ended up having to work that evening so couldn't make it. Absolutely gutted.
  15. 2 - you should be able to use the All Users/Users group rather than one by one.
  16. Not needed for softsynths.
  17. @rsinger is right: clone the partition, then use Windows Disk Management to extend the partition to as large as you want.
  18. It's not too shabby as a quick'n'dirty plugin.
  19. Sounds like sample rate mismatch.
  20. Ouch - not quite the same, but I got one that holds a single NVMe drive for about £15 off Amazon - works a treat.
  21. Hell, I managed to take a Windows 7 SSD from an Intel Q6600 machine, put it in a new Ryzen machine and install Windows 10 as an upgrade without a hitch - I was more than impressed.
