  1. We've all done it ? Forum etiquette suggests adding [SOLVED] to the subject line so people know it's all done now.
  2. I remixed with some of those points in mind - same URL as before. Note that the vocalist (bless him) provided me with pre-reverbed tracks, so I had to work with them...challenging to say the least!
  3. I did wonder that - the perils of trying to mix on just my HDMI output!
  4. Pretty cool! You've been around the Cakewalk forums for a long time so it's good to see a familiar "face" do well.
  5. Search for yoga scorpion pose and really grimace!
  6. I didn't have the luxury of time (and getting some things reinstalled would have been problematic, like some old DXi instruments) so I took a punt: I was amazed. Apart from a couple of plugins that needed reauthorisation (BFD2 was one - Melodyne too, I think) the only thing that failed to copy across and work, ironically, was Visual Studio (the version I had wasn't supported under Windows 10) - annoyingly, the uninstaller didn't work under Windows 10 either, so I had a bit of a job cleaning it up in the end ?
  7. I've done it and it worked fine (Intel Quad Core to AMD Ryzen), *and* upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 10 at the same time. But I wouldn't guarantee it.
  8. From Project5: An excellent "FSU" plug-in. And the DSPfx plugins which came with a very(?) early version of SONAR. And the Project5 reverbs (not amazing, but easy and good enough sometimes). I wish BitBridge had dealt with DirectX effects too.
  9. A bit of a change from me (so not another spacey instrumental) and still a bit of a work in progress as I'm collaborating with a vocalist I've not worked with before (he's gone for a Black Mountain vocal vibe, or so he claims!): https://www.dropbox.com/s/rqewhj2y17bxfoq/Future Shock.mp3?dl=0 Don't try to dance to this one.
  10. Oh well...I've definitely heard of cases where too high a buffer caused issues. Post it as a cwb somewhere so someone else can test (if you're OK with that, of course)?
  11. Some questions... - What would the AI do that the current (well-defined) algorithms don't achieve? - Who would do the training of the AI? - Who would build the inference models for the AI (this isn't traditional DSP-type knowledge needed)? - How well would it run on a current/future processing (look at the specialised AI triaining/inference processors that Intel and nVidia make and compare to a normal CPU)?
  12. Definitely Floydian (Shine On especially). Nice.
  13. This is very similar on the face of it. And free. https://www.codefn42.com/transition/index.html
  14. I found Dexed buggy as anything with this kind of thing happening all the time. I found that deleting the VST from the disk the best thing to do ?
  15. fixed That's the big limitation of the Microsoft library Cakewalk decided to use as the default video engine when no-one else does...
  16. Even the ones with holes in the middle? What about the ones where the little dots have fallen off? ?
  17. It's nice - maybe not amazing, but one of those plugins that's probably useful to have around. $79 value? Probably not, but a steal at $19 (which I took advantage of).
  18. 10 or so years ago, I went to see a big ticket band* for a not insignificant amount of money either, and it was clear that a significant part of the performance was being mimed - the drum sound, for example, didn't match what part of the kit was being hit... It really spoilt it for me, and I was really disappointed by the whole experience. I've nothing against backing tapes or running sequences (I've used them, and my favourite live bands use them), but don't try to trick me, OK? ? * The female lead singer of said band may or may not have very Blonde hair if you see what I mean.
  19. Ooh ooh ooh ? Having done a quick'n'dirty test... Phase Stone is very nice - I think it's the nicest phaser model they have; ModulaVerb does what it says - I don't see much use for it personally, but that's just my style (and it sounds a decent guitar amp reverb); Reverse Delay is more subtle than I'd expected, and I need to play with it more, but again, it seems to do what it says on the tin, sounds nice and ethereal/spacey as expected, and I can see myself using it in slower/ambient pieces. Nice update, I'd say, especially for free!
