    NVME Clone

Macrium - boot to Windows, clone to the second drive, done.
  2. Some years back, I identified and reported a bug to Celemony that if you were using serial number activation and had no iLok service running on your PC, then instantiating Melodyne took an age - a consistent 15 seconds IIRC. If you installed the iLok services, even if you didn't use it, then Melodyne startup was fine. The support discussion with them block holed at that point, but I'm pleased and relieved to say that it's no longer a problem as of the latest update (5.3.0.011). Only took about 5 years to get fixed, but fixed it is!
  3. I've seen this when my router fails to connect to the internet, but my PC connects to the router fine (the router hosts the local DNS server too) - CbB (and some plugins, like Overloud ones) take an age to start under these conditions. If the internet connection is present, even if it's slow, the start up time is fast.
  4. I think a subtle wording change on the Audio Export Dialog ("Entire Mix (Selection)" or similar) would keep everyone happy and make it clearer. That said, given the number of people over the years who've complained about selections being accidentally applied (or who have probably had it happen and not complained, like me!), an "Entire Mix (No Selection)" option which did what it says wouldn't go amiss either.
  5. VST scan is irrelevant here as the Sonitus plugins are DirectX.
  6. My guess would be it uncritically installs an older version of, say, an MFC library which break various bits of CbB. I think @Noel Borthwick has posted a thread somewhere here about hot to get/download/install the correct/latest versions.
  7. This sounds like record or playback timing source has been set to Nothing. Had that happen to me in the past. Preferences as per @Lord Tim post above.
  8. I'd say there are enough issues with existing plugin formats that need to be addressed first (incompatabilities, genuine surround support*, MIDI FX support, VST expression) before worrying about a nascent format that hasn't established itself. * I'm not sure this is worthwhile, personally, but it's still missing).
  9. Well I'd love to know how he gets the top-left pane visible (with multiple tracks) - nothing in the manual I can see and no amount of random(!) clicking in the Melodyne UI seems to make it work.
  10. Oh yes - about 12 today. I used to subscribe, unsubscribed, and then they restarted again. It's not uncommon from him to do this, unfortunately.
  11. I'd quite like the Bass Envelope from BASS RIGS VOL. 1

    Blasts from the past(s)

Thanks a lot! Some of the originals are up there too, so enjoy as much as you can ?
  13. Save projects or config (eg. aud.ini files) or both?
  14. I do wish Overloud would sell the additional effects that some of the Rig Libraries come with separately - I've never had any real joy with the rigs getting a sound I like, but do get what I want (usually!) from the amp/cab/effects models, so expanding the effect palette wouldn't go amiss.

    Blasts from the past(s)

Thanks both - it was quite fun (and embarrassing at times) revisiting tracks that first recorded 25 or so years ago. Eqaually, there are some bits I found where I now thought "How the hell did I do that?" ?

  17. My guess is that the window is open but hidden somewhere - try disabling floating on any other open CbB windows and see if any appear unexpectedly.
  18. I've been digging some old tracks out of cold storage, and thought I'd throw a collection of them onto Bandlab as an punningly title collection "reXoorrection": https://www.bandlab.com/xoospacemusic/albums/9bda80e3-7c60-ed11-819a-00224844caa1 As I say on the description, some have been re-mixed, some re-worked and others are just about how I found them, so I know they can be a little rough around the edges, but hopefully there's some tuneage there that some folks like.
